This blue roan bitch is a cracking example of the breed, displaying quality and balance in every aspect. She embodies moderation throughout, with nothing exaggerated, presenting a harmonious and flowing outline both when handled and when stacked. Her square silhouette perfectly aligns with the breed standard, and she demonstrated her capability amongst strong competition. While she did make her handler put in extra effort during today’s showing, she nonetheless upheld her composure and presence in the ring. Unfortunately, she was up against the BCC winner who maintained consistent momentum and kept her best foot forward throughout the challenge. Nevertheless, the decision to award her the Reserve Bitch Challenge Certificate was made without hesitation, recognising her outstanding quality and adherence to breed standards.
2ND 1015 - Withiflor Bird On The Wire over Wylyeview (Mr S & Mrs J Kew)
Black girl with a lot to like, superb coat and presented well. In tune with her handler. 1ST 1009 - Sh Ch Coedcernyw Calendar Girl JW (Mr I & Mrs S Hillier)
This 8-year-old golden bitch exemplifies why she is so deserving of her title. She presents as both sturdy and compact yet retains her unmistakable feminine qualities throughout. Everything about her conformation is balanced—she is the embodiment of moderation in all aspects.
Her presence in the ring is a masterclass for the younger generation; she truly comes alive during competition, fully aware that the spotlight is on her. Throughout the event, she maintained a consistently level topline, with correct footfall sustained right to the final moments. She was carefully considered for top honours today, and it was a particular pleasure to award her Best Veteran in Breed (BVIB). Watching her go on to secure Best Veteran in Show (BVIS) was a fitting acknowledgement of her remarkable quality—a well-deserved achievement.
2ND 1074 - Amaroanne Aphrodite at Melandroy (Mr R & Mrs M Wheatley)
Blue roan bitch displaying many admirable qualities. She presents a distinctly feminine appearance, highlighted by a lovely dark eye which enhances her expression. Her shoulder placement is good, complemented by well-sprung ribs, contributing to her overall balance and substance. She is short coupled, supporting a compact outline. While her bend of stifle could be improved, this does not detract significantly from her overall appeal.
