Class 122. Veteran (7+ years) Dog Entries: 6 Absentees: 1
1st Place: Ch/ir Sh Ch Talard Cee Three Pee Ohh (Mr A, Mrs L & Miss T Douglas) I have admired this dog since I first saw him as a puppy, and both my daughter and husband have given him tickets. He is now a Veteran, and at last I had the opportunity to judge him. Such an impressive yellow dog, lovely balance in outline, really excels over the neck & shoulders, love his overall construction, good depth and spring of rib, excellent compact feet and strong pasterns, well developed in quarters and sound on the move with good reach and drive, short dense coat of the correct texture, eye shape and colour is correct. He has fabulous ring presence, and I was delighted that my co-judge agreed that he should be BV in breed.
2nd Place: Saranden Pensacola (Mr D N & Mrs S A Mclellan) another I have seen from the ringside, nothing exaggerated here, all dog but not overdone in any way, striking in profile, has presence in the ring, stands out of type and construction, an excellent showman, balanced in outline with an alert intelligent expression & correct length of muzzle, good depth of brisket and length of leg, has scope which allows him unhampered movement.
3rd Place: Aramis Britannica Archipelago at Steeleigh (Imp Ltu) JW (Mrs L Lesley)
Reserve: Manorwell Buckskin at Lynquest JW (Ms L Haslam)
VHC: Vetybonbetty Chocolate Box (Mrs B & Mr T Bills)
Class 123. Minor Puppy Dog Entries: 8 Absentees: 2
1st Place: Woolman Free and Easy (Mrs Y. Shirton), what a lovely puppy this is! Pale yellow with the sweetest of heads, lovely eye, and well-set ears, he has good bone and substance for his size and frame, with lovely balance in outline, well let down hocks and perfect tail set. Still has a lot to come and will undoubtedly mature slowly, but is an excellent young prospect. He has a calm and easy disposition and is well-schooled. When deciding BPD, I felt that Island Hopping had more strength on the move today. However, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for this youngster.
2nd Place: Jaybec Winter Yule (Miss R J & Mrs J E Mills), This 7-month-old yellow has a beautiful head, and he has lovely balance, with good length and depth in the muzzle. He has a firm top line and carries an excellent coat. While I preferred the layback of the shoulder of my winner, this young dog has lots to like about His strong quarters and good width in the second thigh contribute to his overall appeal. When settled, he moved with confidence, displayed a positive attitude, and was handled with expert care. Both of these puppies are exciting young prospects.
3rd Place: Sharouns Sunday Best (Mr S Williamson)
Reserve: Streamanda Winterfell with Jancet (Mrs E A Peggs)
VHC: Tanronens Jack Frost at Cremino (Mrs J & Mr G Johnson)
Class 124. Puppy Dog Entries: 7 Absentees: 3
1st Place: Naiken Island Hopping (ai) (Mr & Mrs A R V & Miss R Hodge), almost 12 months old, this chocolate stood out as the most well-balanced in his class compared to the younger puppies still in that awkward phase. With minimal fuss from his handler, he shows off his well-proportioned head and good muzzle length. His eyes, of an acceptable colour, reflect a kind expression; he has well-placed ears that he uses effectively. His front assembly is first class, featuring a clean neck and well-laid-back shoulders. He has a firm, level topline and an excellent tailset. His forechest development is appropriate for his age and build; he has ample turn of stifle and width in the second thigh. He moves steadily and effortlessly, covering the ring with good forward reach. This young dog is likely to take his time maturing fully, which I see as a positive.. BPD and BPIB
2nd Place: Frewlings Fastrack at Bearstone (Mrs A J Edwards) compact youngster, has lots to like about him, kind eye with lovely expression, he is short coupled, has good depth of forechest and lovely barrel rib, his coat is first class, short dense undercoat with a fairly hard topcoat and his tail is well wrapped. Slightly up in the rear at the moment, but hopefully with time, he will level out, has a good turn of stifle and well-let down hocks, and moves out well with good forward reach.
3rd Place: Trendlewood Hometown Glory (Miss J Moody)
Reserve: Myloglenn Make My Day (Mrs H Wright)
Class 125. Junior Dog Entries: 8 Absentees: 1
1st Place: Binnaig Sea The Stars over Tullochmohr JW (Mrs D Tulloch). This young yellow dog presents a well-balanced outline; he conveys an impression of strength without cloddiness. His masculine head and well-developed nostrils are complemented by kind, expressive eyes that show a willingness to please. He exhibits a strong neck and well-boned forelegs; he has a level topline and a short loin. Ribs of good length, movement is unrestricted, and he covers the ring with good forward reach. He has well-developed quarters and a good turn of stifle, good feet and strong pasterns. He carries a good double coat and was shown in excellent condition. He is just at the age when things are becoming interesting, and his handler does a great job of controlling his enthusiasm on the move. Overall, he is an impressive, handsome dog of excellent type and one who cannot easily be overlooked. He was therefore included in my final three.
2nd Place: Dolwen Jackpot (Mr Arwyn & Mrs Sian & Mrs Einir & Mr D Ellis & Ellis & Matulla & Matulla) pale yellow with lots of excellent breed type, he has a kind, balanced head with a lovely, appealing expression and kind eye, strong, clean neck, level topline, he is of excellent sound construction. Good spring of ribs and short, strong loin. Will take his time maturing, as he should. Moved soundly and has lots of potential. Unlucky to meet one.
3rd Place: State Park in Linjor JW (Ms L. Harvey-Major)
Reserve Lembas Brooklyn at Mibridge (Mrs B S Jeffery)
VHC: Edenwood Hinch (Miss L Pickin)
Class 126. Yearling Dog Entries: 8 Absentees: 1
1st Place: Forum Cornelii Harry at Starland Jew'24 It Jch (Miss N. Lombardo) very impressive yellow, who excels in balance and construction, beautiful breed type, has an intelligent alert expression with a kind masculine head, his eyes are of the correct shape and show a kind, willingness to please, well set ears which he used well, he is strong over the neck with well laid shoulders, well sprung in ribs, powerful quarters, well turned stifle, stood on good feet and pasterns, he had to give way to maturity today but has everything in the right place as far as construction is concerned and only needs a little more time to mature fully, He must have a very bright future ahead of him, an excellent showman. He is handled to great advantage, a sound, free mover, and I found out later that he had many admirers around the ring.
2nd Place: Saranden I'm On Fire JW (Mr D N & Mrs S A Mclellan) lovely balanced youngster, his overall construction is first class, much more compact that one but with ample length of rib and good shoulder angulation to allow him to move out freely in front, strong over the neck and topline, has good bone and substance for his size and frame, excellent showman who handles so very well, good undercoat, slightly longer topcoat that has a faily hard texture to it, he his sound on the move. Lovely youngster.
3rd Place: Trendlewood Long Time Comin at Pudleigh JW (Mr H J & Mrs I J Evans), lovely young dog, I really like him.
Reserve: Rossacre The Duke (Mrs V Findjan)
VHC: Musubi Who Dares Wins (Mr C J & Mrs P Ayres)
Class 127. Maiden Dog Entries: 7 Absentees: 3
1st Place: Jaybec Winter Yule (Miss R J & Mrs J E Mills)
2nd Place Streamanda Winterfell with Jancet (Mrs E A Peggs), chocolate puppy built on clean lines, well put together, with a beautiful, balanced head with pleasing expression, good clean reach of neck, holds his topline well both standing and moving, his tail is well wrapped and of good shape, he carries an excellent coat. Still so very young and will need time to fill out and mature, but he is very promising.

Class 128. Novice Dog Entries: 9 Absentees: 7
1st Place: Jaybec Winter Yule (Miss R J & Mrs J E Mills)
2nd Place: Lembas Brooklyn at Mibridge (Mrs B S Jeffery) placed fourth in the Junior class. Lovely, balanced head on this black; he has a strong neck, well-placed shoulders, and carries an excellent coat. He has good feet and strong pasterns. Nice youngster.
Class 129. Undergraduate Dog Entries: 4 Absentees: 1
1st Place: Seatallan Damson (Mrs T A & Mr M J Mullett) I was impressed by this dog's unexaggerated classic build; he is not a showy dog, but rather an honest and sincere one. I appreciated the way he looked at me with a gentle, unpretentious expression, featuring a masculine head with a well-proportioned muzzle, acceptable eye colour, a strong neck, and a good length in the upper arm. His chest is broad and deep, and he exhibits ample development in his hindquarters without being overly angulated. He possesses a good turn of stifle and let-down hocks, which align well with the rest of his physique. His movement is sound and controlled. A spirited dog can easily draw attention in the ring, which may lead to the more reserved dog being overlooked when presented quietly and calmly. I do hope this does not happen with this dog.
2nd Place: Potterspiney My Sovereign JW (Mrs E Young) a lovely yellow who is very different from one, overall construction is first class, he has lovely balance to his head, good length of muzzle, much more compact that one but with enough length of rib and correct shoulder angulation to allow him to move freely, has good bone and substance for his frame, lovely feet and strong pasterns, excellent showman who handles so well.
3rd Place: Frewlings Gary Player at Bearstone (Mrs A J Edwards)
Class 130. Graduate Dog Entries: 4 Absentees: 0
1st Place: Ashland's Nothing for Granted at Bearstone NAF TAF (Mrs A.J. Edwards). This 2-year-old yellow is new to me. I was surprised by how much I liked him both on the stance and on the move; he is balanced in outline. He is just right for his age with no exaggeration either in head or substance, he has a kind expression, good length of muzzle, a strong, clean neck, firm level topline, his shoulders are well laid back and and stood on good feet, he has short hocks and a well turned stifle, really scored in coat, correct length and texture, covered the ring with an easy stride, and looked very well in profile, has the correct amount of bone for his size and frame, my advice to his handlers, would not be to push him too quickly, he has lots of maturing to do, so let him do it.
2nd Place: Deerbrook I'm The Boss (Mr T.A. & Mrs M.H. Barker) nicely balanced yellow, good balance to his head, kind expression, shoulders are well set and he has a good spring of rib, firm through his topline with good tailset albeit's a little untidy, well developed quarters, moved out and back soundly, covered the ring with an easy stride
3rd Place: Potterspiney Optimist Vision (Mrs E Young)
Reserve: Roslieve I Am Maximus (Mrs P & Mr M Sweeney)
Class 131. Post Graduate Dog Entries: 12 Absentees: 4
1st Place: Trendlewood One More Time (Mr D L & Mrs F E M Braddon) I have always admired the dogs that this breeder produces, striking young yellow, lovely balanced head with kind eye and expression, strong and over the neck, with well laid back shoulders, he has good depth to his foreschest, short coupled with ample length of rib, has well turned stifles and strong quarters, perhaps a little close behind on the move but very sound and covered the ring with a free easy strie.
2nd Place: Wynfaul Repeat (Mr Tr & Mrs Be Gentleman) mature well-balanced black dog, such as a lovely head, kind eyes and expression, short coupled, firm, strong topline, shown in excellent condition, really scored today in coat, correct length and texture, well shaped tail, looked good in profile, movement was sound and positive.
3rd Place: Tullochmohr Ultimo Finale JW (Mrs D Tulloch)
Reserve: Mcfarwin's Grey Legacy by Keeninspires JW (Mrs S Perkins)
VHC: Henissy Truffle Trifle (Miss C Farrar)
Class 132. Mid Limit Dog Entries: 7 Absentees: 2
1st Place: Daisypatch Jelly Tot JW (Mrs H M & Mr D Chapman) yellow who I just loved from the minute he came into the ring, a real honest, old fashioned Labrador in type, nothing is exaggerated with him, short coupled and of ideal size and construction, strongly built without being course, has a lovely masculine head with a kind alert expression, correct angulation over the shoulders, broad and deep through the chest with well sprung ribs, short in loin with balanced hindquarters, correct double coat and otter tail, his sound front movement and excellent driving action behind completed a lovely dog. Another with a calm, easy disposition, and perhaps another who could be overlooked in favour of flashier types, but I was very taken with this dog.
2nd Place: Amberstope Gold Label at Chapelmanor (ai) (Mrs E Hallgarth) another quality dog, balanced outline, strong but not overdone, masculine without being coarse, lovely expressive head, kind eye, excellent front assembly, short coupled with ample turn of stifle and width in quarters, sound dog all through with sound easy movement.
3rd Place: Sharouns Inspector Gadget JW (Mr S Williamson)
Reserve: Cremino Celebrity JW (Mrs J & Mr G Johnson)
VHC : Saranden Thunder Road (Mrs B & Mr T Bills)
Class 133. Limit Dog Entries: 15 Absentees: 4
1st Place: Devonshires Yellowstone at Mariank (Imp Usa) (Mr R S Ennis-Holden) a quality dog, has a lovely balanced outline, with excellent front angulation, equally well angulated behind without being over exaggerated here, masculine head of balanced proportioned, used his ears when persuaded and has a kind willing to please expression, he has a strong neck of the correct length, could perhaps be a little cleaner in throat, however, this for me is a minor point, well sprung barralled rib and is short in loin, he has good width to his quarters, his tail is well clothed and of the correct shape, sadly we have so many yellows with what I can only describe as an open, hairy tail. This is untidy and spoils the overall outline, especially on the move; it is also not correct. He has well-developed pads, but his feet could be tighter. When both he and his handler relax, the dog moves well and can cover the ring with a good forward reach and drive. I like this dog very much, and he was in my final three for the CC. I am sure this dog can gain his title.
2nd Place: Richbourne Lion King (Mrs S Wiles) well balanced yellow, striking outline which makes him very difficult to overlook, stands off his handler well and really makes the most of himself, good front assembly, firm top line and well developed quarters, quality dog who has strength all through without being overdone in any way, lovely balanced body proportions, masculine head with alert expression, he moved out really well, sound and positive, presented really well.
3rd Place: Aalincarrey Lets Sing (Mrs S C Crellin)
Reserve: Carromer Teguila by Keeninspires (Mrs S Perkins)
VHC: Lonicerium Jack Sparra (Mr D A W & Mrs T J Falshaw)
Class 134. Open Dog Entries: 14 Absentees: 3 This was a lovely class of dogs, which made my task difficult. Many good dogs went out without a card.
1st Place: Swiss Ch Miles from Nowhere Heavy-Duty (Mrs K Becker) A classic black, you don't even need to put your hands on him to see that he exudes quality and meets the breed standards so well, particularly in the head, coat, and tail. He possesses a beautifully balanced head with a good length of muzzle, complemented by his warm, burnt sugar-colored eyes that enhance his kind and intelligent expression. His double coat is impeccable—short, dense, and with the right texture, presenting a slightly firm feel. While his tail is well-formed and well-clothed, he tends to carry it a bit high while on the move; however, no dog is perfect, and for me, his numerous other qualities overshadow this. Handled with skill, without excessive fussing, he has a good length of rib and depth of forechest, and he was presented in excellent condition. He has well-proportioned leg-to-body ratios. His quarters are well-developed without being overly angulated, which I dislike immensely. He has a strong neck and a good length of upper arm. His feet are round and compact, with well-arched toes and strong pasterns, and his hocks are well-let-down. His movement is fluid and effortless, further highlighting his overall quality. He won a strong class full of champions. I was delighted to award him the CC. Lovely dog.
2nd Place: Sh Ch Binnaig Bonnach for Tullochmohr JW (Mrs D Tulloch). This striking yellow dog is impressive from any angle; he presents himself well, and his handler brings out his best qualities. After having the chance to evaluate him up close, it's clear why he has achieved success in the ring.. He is not only very eye-catching but can back it up, with a good length of leg, a strong build without being coarse, and a masculine head that exudes a kind and alert demeanour. He has good front angulation, complemented by a broad and deep chest, well-sprung ribs, a firm topline, and well-developed hindquarters. He carries a good double coat, perhaps a shade longer on top, but I am nitpicking here. A dog who is alert and eager to please, without being foolish. He strides confidently around the ring with a smooth, effortless gait and impressive forward reach. Shown in peak condition, he is well-muscled and fit. His half-brother, who won the Junior class, shares many of his qualities. I felt that Bonnach had a marginally better shoulder, but again, this is a minor observation. Having seen him compete numerous times in the ring, I believed he would be a tough one to beat. However, I hadn't expected to be charmed by the delightful black dog. He had to settle for the Res CC today.
3rd Place: Sh Ch Berlan Get Up and Go at Sandylands (Mr E & Mrs E Casey & Jayes)
Reserve: Sh Ch/ir Sh Ch Naiken East Meets West (ai) JW (Mr & Mrs A R V & Miss R Hodge)
VHC: Sh Ch Cremino Calabrese (Mrs J & Mr G Johnson)
Class 135. Special Working Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0
1st Place: Tugford Digby of Rumrumour (Miss I Scotford-Jackson). This young man has a charming head and a gentle, compliant expression, making him a pleasure to handle. He has a broad skull and well-proportioned muzzle in length and depth. Although his ears are slightly larger, they are well-positioned. He has a strong, clean neck and appropriately placed shoulders. He is only 16 months old, and he will mature and deepen in the chest area. His loin is strong, and he has a good length to his ribs. He carries a good, short, dense coat. While he may not have as much bone and substance as most of his counterparts here today, his physical attributes are relevant to his intended purpose. He moved really well —controlled and sound — and covered the ring with ease. Presented really well
Class 136. Special Show/Working Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0
1st Place: Warringah's The Bluff JW Sgwc (Mr D Coode). This six-year-old black dog has a lovely, balanced outline and first-class overall conformation; his skull is broad with a defined stop, he has the desirable alert, intelligent expression, and a delightful, calm demeanour when handled. He displays an excellent front assembly, a strong neck that is not excessively long, well-laid-back shoulders, well-sprung, barrelled ribs and good depth and width to his chest. He is broad and strong in loin and carries an excellent topline, which is maintained both standing and on the move. His undercoat is dense, and he has a firm-textured topcoat; he presents a moderate, unexaggerated appearance; he has well-formed, compact, round feet with well-arched toes —a quality that is becoming a rarity compared to the more commonly accepted open foot —and weak pasterns. He carries himself around the ring with ease. Lovely example of the breed.
