 Minor Puppy Dog (1,0)

1. Sitana Ghost Rider to Tulak (Mrs M & Mrs V Morrison & Mccormack). Good proportions and nice for size. Particularly admired his eye shape and strength of underjaw, would not like him any wider in backskull. Neck runs fairly smooth into a well made front. Has plenty of time to develop in body but holds a level topline and correct croup. Balanced hindquarters of good strength. Moved quite well for one so young with no shortage of spring.

 Puppy Dog (5,1)

1. Cloudside Soul Prince for Jodak (Miss J & Mr M House & Hinchliffe). Upstanding young dog of excellent type and quality. Most handsome head with dark, expressive eyes. Long neck into a super front assembly; smooth, well-laid shoulders and balanced return of upper arm. Admired his leg length, though felt he needed to drop into himself slightly as I would not have liked him to have appeared any more compact in overall appearance. Well ribbed, level topline, correct slope to croup with well set and carried ring-tail. Balanced sweep of stifle and low hocks. So stylish and composed on the move where he covers lots of ground with such smooth strides, however lost out to his litter sister for BPIB on rear movement at present. Best Puppy Dog.

2. Drishaun Consider This Baby (Mrs G Gardner). Super outline and proportions with excellent leg length. Typical in head and eye. More moderate all through than 1, fairly well angulated front but would not like any less bend of stifle. Scores well in topline, pinbones and croup. Moved well for his age with some spring, if not the natural carriage of 1.

3. Cloudside Ebony Prince at Johda (Mrs S & Mr P Bellringer).

Junior Dog (2,0)

1. Drishaun Consider This Baby (Mrs G Gardner).

2. Cloudside Prince of Theives at Johda (Mrs S & Mr P Bellringer). Lovely masculine head with detail and dark eyes. Tall enough and quite raw at present, up on the leg and needs to develop some width throughout. That being said, he is of good proportions and is very well angled both fore and aft, so has a good frame to grow into. Can firm up somewhat on the up and down, but is light on his feet with some lift in profile.

Post Graduate Dog (3,0)

1. Drishaun Rock Me Baby Gothika (Mr R C & Mrs J A Thompson). An undoubtedly masculine dog who presents a good outline, though I wouldn’t mind a touch more leg for ideal proportions. Pleasing balance to his head, with good length and a typical expression. Good neck into shoulder. Preferred his front, width throughout and firm topline over 2. Excellent pinbones and fallaway, well set ring-tail. Coat is of the correct texture and presented well. Has some spring on the move, but would prefer him to put some more into his stride.

 2. Zendushkas Take That (Ms M Hitch). Upstanding dog of excellent proportions. Thought he had an overall very typy look. A little fine and lacking fill in head but has a good expression from his dark eyes. Long neck. Shoulders could be slightly more well laid. Straight forelegs of good length. Had a tendency to lean forward and appear as if he fell away on the day. Well bent stifles. He looked much better on the move where he has a lot of style and carriage, with a fairly lengthy stride.

3. Zendushkas Born to Run Isjulees (Mr M Drage).

Limit Dog (8,2)

1. Drishaun Baby's in Black JW (Mrs A M, Mr M & Miss C Lancashire & O'donnell). A houndy, masculine and solid male of absolute balance and good proportions. He covers plenty of ground without being overdone in any way. Perhaps I wouldn’t mind a touch more refinement to his head, but it is totally balanced with dark, well-shaped eyes and some chiselling. He excels in general conformation and coupled with his optimum body and condition, it makes him very hard to get past ‘hands on’. He just flowed throughout and anywhere I put my hands under his coat, was a well filled and muscled frame. Excellent detail to his outline with a clean neck, firm level topline, prominent pinbones, croup of good length and width, and a well set ring tail carried perfectly at all times on the move. Super sound in all directions and also really opens up with a lengthy and springy stride, with a natural carriage. In what started as a class with a few contenders on my initial glance, he became a comfortable winner and continued to impress in the challenge to win the CC, his 3rd.

 2. Saxonmill Majic Moment at Khatira (Miss C M Parker). Another quality male who perhaps had more ideal proportions for me, being ever so slightly higher on the leg. Really liked his head, masculine but with lovely detail, strong underjaw and well-shaped eyes. He is short backed and well ribbed, though not always as firm in topline as 1 on the stack. A handful and doing his best to throw away his chances, but he ultimately secured his place on his movement where I preferred his length of stride and more typical gait over 3. Worthy of a crown.

3. Vindaloo Blow Your Mind to Montrabella (Imp Swe) (Mr S & Mr J Lloyd & Webster).

Open Dog (4,0) A very good class, I am now aware 4th was also made up prior to the day and indeed, all four are certainly worthy of their titles.

1. Ch/int/lux/nld Ch Popovs Aladdin at Sarakhan (Imp Nld) (Mr & Mrs C Pascoe). Full of type and quality. Lean head of good length with some detail, slight stop and correct eye shape. Lengthy neck set into well laid shoulders, fairly good return of upper arm. He is pleasing enough on the stack, even if he is ever so slightly long and could have more definition of topline/croup. However, he really pulls it together and comes alive on the move where he truly impresses; holding an excellent outline, shortening up somewhat in proportions and yet goes on such a lengthy, smooth stride with super lift. I loved his style and natural carriage. Presented in very good order. A pleasure to award him the RCC

2. Ch Syrdarya Darjeeling Chai of Simkhan (Mrs E & Miss I James). No doubting this male’s quality and type, but I would like him to have more length of leg for better proportions. Masculine head of good length, and so very typical in eye and expression, but I found him somewhat deep in muzzle when viewed from the side. He is so very well made with one of the best examples of front construction in the entry, indeed he is totally balanced in front and rear angulation. Preferred his topline, pinbones and croup on the stack over 1. Super feet and low hocks. Unfortunately, I have seen this dog have much better days on the move, whilst his stride is so reachy and smooth, he just wasn’t focused on the day and seemed somewhat uncoordinated and lost his outline too. Nonetheless, much to admire, as I have done for some time.

3. Ch Ayoubkhan Silk Road JW (Ms T & Mrs J Gosling).

Veteran Dog (4,0)

1. Ch Drishaun Fair As A Lily JW ShCEx OSW (Mrs A M, Mr M & Miss C Lancashire & O'donnell). Two lovely litter brothers. Both ever so well made, I slightly preferred the proportions and refinement of 1. This male is so elegant and athletic, he is well made throughout and totally balanced. I would like some more strength to his muzzle for absolute balance in his head, but he has a lovely eye and expression. Admired his saddle, pinbones and well-set, ringed tail. He moved on a long, balanced stride with positive footfall, but not quite the lift or activity of his competitors in the challenge, but he was in contention. Best Veteran Dog, and not an easy decision for BVIB.

2. Ch Drishaun The Vampire Lily via Gothika JW (Mr R C & Mrs J A Thompson). More of a masculine dog, he too is ever so well made all through. Stronger in head but it is well balanced with pleasing detail. Not the length of neck of 1 but shoulder still well laid. Like 1, excellent topline, pinbones, croup and ring tail. He is well ribbed with a deep chest and short loin. Good bend to stifle with strong, low hocks. Moved very well and holds his outline, but not the length of stride of 1.

 3. Ch Pashtari Lord Tennyson Tokando JW (Mr C S & Mrs S S Winters).

Minor Puppy Bitch (3,0)

1. Sitana Miss Marvel (Mrs N Hudson).

2. Sitana The Eternal at Lakarnadream (Mrs J M Dare).

Two lovely puppies, my notes say ‘surely littermates’, both so very typey. 2 is actually better proportioned at present with slightly more leg length, but 1 is still balanced. Both have beautiful heads, with triangular eyes and typical expression. 1 has slightly more neck and is slightly more angulated fore and aft, though 2 is firmer in topline at present. Both springy movers with a lovely natural carriage, but slightly preferred the scope of 1. Both are of a lovely quality and will have bright futures, I’m sure.

3. Golddragon Bubble Bounce Into Zushkhan (Imp Esp) TAF (Ms C & Mrs V Gunn & Cannon).

Puppy Bitch (5,0)

1. Cloudside Ice Angel (Miss L Aynsley). So much to like about this beautiful puppy, ideal for proportions with super length of leg and being fairly compact in body. Feminine, balanced head with dark eyes and pigment, giving a beautiful expression. Long neck set smoothly into some of the most well laid shoulders in the entry. Excellent length and return of upper arm. Good depth and well bodied for age with a short loin. Her topline can settle and firm with age on the stack. Correct fallaway and set on of ringed tail. Balanced rear quarters. So typical on the move, smooth and springy, covering good ground, and full of character and carriage. Also quite accurate on the up and down too. She has the style, class and quality to go all the way, and I hope she does. Best Puppy in Breed

2. Drishaun Consider It Done (Mrs A M, Mr M & Miss C Lancashire & O'donnell). Another lovely bitch, ultra feminine, elegant and very well put together. Not quite the proportions or angulation fore and aft of 1, but still balanced. Pleasing head proportions and dare I say, pretty expression. Firm topline at all times which I did prefer over 1. Although a super mover who covers the ground with plenty of enthusiasm in a particularly collected fashion for a puppy, she didn’t quite have the lift of 1.

 3. Cloudside Snow Angel at Zaram (Mr A R & Mrs C M Cheesman).

Junior Bitch (5,1)

1. Cloudside Ice Angel (Miss L Aynsley).

2. Drishaun Consider It Done (Mrs A M, Mr M & Miss C Lancashire & O'donnell).

3. Pretty Infinity A Touch of Freedom at Pashtari (Imp Deu) (Mr J & Mrs M Bloor).

Post Graduate Bitch (2,0) Just two in this class but very difficult to split them up, both being quite different, particularly in movement.

1. Alaqadar Ariodante of Shadowfax (ai) (Imp Aus) (Mrs S & Ms M & Mr J Rhodes & Shaverneva & Garrad). This is a well-sized and fairly compact bitch, though I wouldn’t want any less leg length. In better body than 2 and showing to advantage. Liked her head and dark, triangular eye. Perhaps a little upright in neck set but she had better front angulation than 2. Good depth and ribbing with a nice short loin. Lovely prominent pinbones and fallaway. Strong rear with good width of thigh. She moves with great activity and purpose and no shortage of carriage, but I felt at times her action was verging on bouncy rather than springy.

 2. Prestigious How Will I Know (Mrs A Lorenzo Rivers). Liked her elegant yet houndy look. Of a larger and rangier mould, but still admired her proportions. Long, lean head, if a little narrow in skull perhaps. Long and clean neck. She has a clean and well defined outline with excellent pinbones, fallaway and low set ringed tail. A touch moderate in angulation fore and aft. On the contrary to 1, she was rather lazy on the move lacking some lift, though her stride was very easy and longer than 1.

Limit Bitch (7,2)

1. Rhazmakh Heart O’summer by Bryelis JW (Mrs E & Ms E & Miss J & Mrs G Moyes & Lockett-Davies & Shaw & Hunter-Ryan). This bitch has very good proportions and is totally balanced. Very much all of a piece and pleasing in general conformation, good layback of front, a firm topline, good depth and a short, well muscled loin. Feminine head but with punishing jaws. Whilst I appreciated the accuracy of her footfall on the up and down, the spring to her gait, and how she held her outline on the move, I’d have liked some more scope to her stride.

 2. Karagez Kartina Maslom at Zushkhan (Imp Rkf) (Ms C & Mrs V Gunn & Cannon). A very stylish and showy bitch and not dissimilar in overall shape and look of 1, if perhaps a touch more refined throughout. Elegant and feminine head, with a very pleasing expression. Long neck but not layback of front construction and firm topline of 1. Balanced rear quarters with good strength and low hocks. On the move, she goes with great enthusiasm and style.

3. Ayoubkhan Porcelain Dove (Mrs N Humphreys).

Open Bitch (8,3) A lovely class lead by two excellent litter sisters.

 1. Ch Saxonmill Mirror Image (Miss C & Miss A Dowd & Malia). Utterly beautiful bitch with such intense type and quality. Ideal in proportions, totally balanced and so typical in outline. Stunning head, well proportioned and of good length, feminine yet with strong punishing jaws. Dark, triangular eyes and excellent expression. She is so very well made throughout, with a long neck, well laid front, firm topline and enough definition of pinbones and fallaway, where she scores over 2. Well-set, ringed tail held well whilst moving. A balanced rear with good length of thigh and low, strong hocks. Truly a delight on the move, she has a lengthy stride and goes with such a springy action, impressing with her lift and natural carriage, yet accurate footfall. A true pleasure to judge and award the CC and BOB

 2. Ch Saxonmill Majic Mirror (Mrs R Hall). Another real beauty presented in fantastic condition in every aspect. Like her sister, she is also a very well made bitch with very little to separate them. The epitome of a style of high order, she simply floated around the ring on a totally loose lead displaying exceptional lift in her gait, I just felt 1 had the edge in front reach. Such an obvious rapport between this bitch and her handler, who must be an extremely proud breeder of them both. It was without any hesitation at all that I awarded her the RCC.

3. Ch Syrdarya Lapsang Souchong with Gilari (Mr & Mrs C H Cross).

Veteran Bitch (2,0)

1. Ch/int/lux/ir/nld Ch Popovs Sazerac at Sarakhan (Imp Nld) JW (Mrs R Tromp). A super veteran bitch who I have admired for some time. Houndy, elegant and so full of type. I loved her proportions and leg length. Stunning head and expression. Long neck and well laid shoulders, though I’d like more return of upper arm. Topline could be somewhat firmer on the stack now but she holds it perfectly on the move. Very good pinbones, long croup and low set ringed tail. Great length from hip to hock. She carries herself superbly on the move, with an effortless and long stride. I would have happily awarded her a CC. Best Veteran in Breed.

2. Ch Drishaun Faith Is Like A Lily for Javidan JW (Miss L & Ms C O'donnell). Another very worthy champion, of a lovely size and balance. Ultra feminine throughout with a long, refined head and dark eyes. She is so very well made and scored over 1 in upper arm, but perhaps lacking in fill and body. Pleasing detail to her topline, pinbones and croup. Balanced rear quarters. She moves with great activity and has a totally balanced stride, but perhaps not quite the spring and totally natural carriage of 1.

Special Beginners Bitch (2,0)

1. Pramya Keep Your Eyes On Me (Imp Fin) JW (Mrs S & Mr P Bellringer). Well sized bitch, though rather short on the leg for ideal proportions. A stronger type of head but still, it is balanced and she has a well-shaped eye. Balanced in angulation fore and aft. Topline could be firmer. Good fallaway and low set tail, though she carries it a little too over the back on the move. She won this class on her lovely spring and carriage on the move.

2. Shimalma Izarra (Mrs N Hudson). A lovely type of bitch who has many qualities. Loved her head, eye and expression. Generally better made all through than 1 but lacking any purpose, spring or tail carriage on the move today. She will have much better days, I am sure.
