BORZOI
Thank you to all exhibitors who had to cope with a very crowded ringside with limited space, and it was quite a noisy atmosphere which some borzoi found unsettling. Some found the carpet slippery and this reflected in movement. I was pleased to see some very promising puppies forward. Mouths generally were acceptable, but a couple of dogs did have overly narrow lower jaws which showed noticeable pinching of the lower incisors and very tight lower canines. Feet were varied, and this made a difference to the standings of otherwise a nice dog but having flat, splayed feet which would adversely affect performance in the field.
MPD. (1)
1. Odell, Sukeshi Northern Dancer. Well balanced puppy gold sable of 7 months old. Moderately angulated in shoulder and hind limb with a correct turn of stifle and good length of second thigh. Very attractive head with classic profile. Moved with confidence, very good straight movement for one so young.

1. Odell, Sukeshi Northern Dancer, comments apply as in previous class.
JD.(3)
1. Tomkinson’s Go Go Bolshoi Helios (Imp Hun). Gold sable of 14 months. Very nice head, visible veining, lovely dark almond eye, lower jaw should be deeper. Neat high set ears. Length of neck acceptable if a bit low set. Good depth of brisket. At a tall and rangy stage, and slightly too high in the rear which should improve with maturity. Hind feet should be hare shaped. Movement erratic but shows promise when he settles instead of pulling down and away from his handler.
2. Ford, Jansams White Russian. 15 month old white & brindle. Well boned junior, strong head, nice dark eyes and pigment, small high set ears. Good layback of shoulder, enough forechest, ribs of oval cut, would like a longer loin and fallaway. Correct oval feet in front, arched with thick pads, hind feet should be more hare shaped. Steady movement if a little hesitant today. Lovely wavy coat of silky texture in excellent condition, well presented.
3. Jackson & Jackson, Miscrhan Vilgefortz At Padztar.
PGD. (8, 2)
1. Rogerson, Everwyck Alphin. Eye-catching, elegant red and white at 21 months of age. Typical head, Roman nose, visible veining, lovely dark almond eyes and dark pigment, good depth of jaw. Decent shoulder with good length and return of upper arm. Correct arch to the topline with a long fallaway and acceptable width of the hindquarters. Loin should be broader but this will come with maturity and muscular development in general. Long thighs, correct turn of stifle, with a well developed second thigh, super feet. Nice long tail. Not the biggest male but well balanced which showed in his flowing movement.
2. Smettem-Minson, Chywoon Love Story. 2 year old cream & white. A substantial, tall young male, still a touch upright in front but this will drop into better angulation with maturity. Classic, masculine head profile with Roman nose, dark eyes, and high set ears. Ribbing of oval cut and good depth of brisket. Good breadth of loin, and width of hindquarters. Nice broad hocks. Straight movement with good reach, well handled.
3. Bigland, Rua Soleil Kurazh (Imp Ita)
LD (7,0)
1. Birmingham, Takatori Barnum. White & fawn almost 4 year old male. Tall and strongly built . Masculine head, good dentition and depth of lower jaw, small neat ears set high. Strong arched neck. Profuse coat in super condition which tends to hide his outline, you have to get your hands on to appreciate his front assembly with good length and return of upper arm, great depth of brisket, and correct topline, proportional width of hindquarters. Correct feet, oval front, and hare shaped hind. Once he settled down he moved fluidly although should have more drive from behind. RCC.
2. Logvinenko’s Lynx Faster Than Light Of Noldoli (Imp Swe). White & fawn 2 year old male in beautiful condition both in body and coat. Masculine head with depth of lower jaw, ears should be more refined and higher set. Good length of neck, well laid shoulder, adequate forechest. Correct oval ribbing, topline is correct and a good strong broad loin leading to a gentle fallaway though the croup shoulder be slightly longer. Good length of second thigh and angulation through the stifle, nice broad hocks. Front feet are more hare shaped than oval. Very close between 1 & 2 and he just lost out on movement today tending to put his head up too high thus losing stabilisation through the forelimb, this flattened out the topline.
3. Cherriman, Slovyk De L’hermitage D’eole (Imp Fra)
OD (5, 1)
1. Dawson, Dawson, & Dawson, Mischran The Sequel For Stubbylee JW. Grey & White almost 3 year old elegant male. Refined breed typical head with veining, lovely dark almond eyes and pigment, small fine high set ears. Balanced outline, flowing topline, moderately angulated fore and aft. One of the better necks for length, set, and having the desired slight arch. Correct bladed bone. Shown in good hard condition with well developed muscling, broad loin and strong hind quarters. Super feet. The best in movement today down and back, absolutely straight, and profile movement is steady and light. Good low set long tail which he carried correctly. CC
2. Logvinenko, Ch Ryazan Vladimir. 6 year old red & white. Elegant profile, head has desired veining, his neck is a bit low set. Good depth through the shoulder, strong loin but hindquarters should be wider in proportion to the shoulder. Movement is light and flowing but tending to drop down from the withers to the croup losing topline on the move. Well handled and in excellent coat and condition.
3. Clare, Ch Donskoi Groza At Russmechta.

1. Dawson, Dawson, & Dawson. Ch Metel Avgusta Ala Azul At Stubbylee (Imp Rus) JW. 7 year old self black bitch, well presented in hard condition and silky coat. Feminine head with small high set ears. Overall balanced outline, strong broad loin, correct feet. Moved with a steady rhythm and very straight down and back.
2. Arden, NL / IR Ch Int Ch Paskova Night Warrior At Greenhaven. White & fawn 7 year old dog. Attractive, balanced dog with no exaggerations. Super shoulder, correct forechest, and good wide hindquarters. Masculine head, fine high set ears, and a strong neck. Topline has dropped somewhat since I last judged him and his movement today did lack enthusiasm, I would like to have seen more power in trot. Shown in excellent coat condition.
3. Raczka & Raczka, Jamarqui Alchemy Argent Shcex.

1. Dover & Dover, Sukeshi Hot Dancer At Keanver. 7 month old black & white. What a pretty puppy, very well balanced outline with good shoulder, return or upper arm, and good hindquarters with a decent length of second thigh and turn of stifle. Lovely feminine head, with dark eyes and soft expression, neat high set ears. Well behaved and moved with confidence, nicely handled to show a steady gait without rushing.
2. Odell, Sukeshi Exotic Dancer. 7 month old, white & black, litter sister to 1. Much of the same comments apply. Very promising puppy also, slightly longer cast than her sister, and pasterns need to tighten up a little. Lovely light movement. Will look forward to seeing them as they grow on.

1. Page, Cennards Precious Ruby (Imp Nor). Self red, 10 months old. Another lovely puppy with many desirable breed characteristics. Beautiful head with veining already evident, nice large teeth and depth of underjaw, fine high set ears. Elegant length of neck, balanced through the shoulders to hindquarters with a super topline. Strong hind quarters, enough second thigh and well let down hocks, good feet all round. Flowing movement. Silky wavy coat in great condition. Very promising puppy. BPIB.

1. Hall, Jansams Bloody Mary. White & brindle, 15 months of age. Nice junior, well bodied with a broad loin and good width throughout. Strong head with lovely dark eyes, good dentition, neat ears. Moderate angulation of shoulders, would like a longer second thigh, she gives the impression of power and moved well with purpose. Well padded feet. Coat in tip top condition and beautifully handled.
PGB (4)
1. Cherriman & Cherriman, Zinarte Amarula At Cherdonski (Imp Fin). 2 year old red & white, first impression is of elegance and femininity. I like her head with evident veining, and classic almond shaped dark eye. Shoulder is set on a little forward but she has a good length of upper arm and bladed bone. Well ribbed, and a good length and breadth of loin. Correct feet. Elegant on the move. Interesting to note looking at the catalogue the next day she is a half sister to 2nd place, sharing the same sire.
2. Catalina & Catalina, Borscana Solglimt At Dofro (Imp Swe). White & red 21 months of age. Nice solidly constructed bitch, another with a super body and strength of loin. Movement was not as fluid as one today, tending to lift in front but possibly this was due to the carpet that some found slippery underfoot. Good well padded feet, nice long tail. Presented in excellent condition.
3. Dawson, Dawson, & Dawson, Stubbylee At Sunrise.
LB (6)
1. Heap, Lynx Bright Light Rae (Imp Swe). 2 year old fawn and white. Very soundly constructed bitch, a lot to like about her and under a quite substantial coat she has an excellent front and complemented by strong hindquarters and a correct topline. Her coat disguised the fact she has a lovely neck of good length and slightly arched. Feminine head, dark eyes, strong dentition and neat ears. Well padded feet. Movement is steady and balanced. RCC.
2. Marvin & Shyman, Psovaja Ohota Shaherezada Is Charming (Imp Ukr). 4 year old, apricot sable & white. I like her head, veining, and lovely eye and soft expression. Good length of leg, bladed bone, and good feet. Strong in shoulder with a good length and return of upper arm. Topline should have more arch. Good width of hindquarters and moderate hind limb angulation with low hocks, well padded feet all round. Another with a nice long tail. Movement is steady and balanced, presented in super hard condition and correct coat texture.
3. Donnelly & Devereaux, Sukeshi Anna Leopoldovna
OB (5, 1)
1. Dove, Ch Takatori Madam Butterfly At Saringa JW. Almost 4yr old tall and substantial white & red. Her luxurious coat disguises much of her construction, really good front and hind assembly. Great depth of brisket and correct topline with strong, broad loin. Feet are correct, oval in front, and hare shaped hind. Strong but feminine head, ears should be higher set and could be finer. Overall a balanced bitch with a good length of leg. Moved well with reach in front, hind could have more drive today. Pleased to see her later take Group 3. CC BOB
2. Dawson, Dawson & Dawson. Ch Stubbylee Mood Indigo. White and brindle 6 yr old. Happy girl enjoying her day in the ring. Well balanced with substance throughout, super topline and strong hindquarters. Attractive head, neat ears, correct neck, upper arm could be longer but return is good. Excellent feet. Powerful movement, well handled and presented in great hard condition.
3. Kanoo, Nibrass Queen Ethelflaeda JW

1. Jackson, Stubbylee Black Silk. 19 months of age self black. Much promise with this very well constructed youngster, lovely head and well balanced body but her over enthusiasm for being in the ring lets her down, really gave her handler a hard time. Once she settled for a very few strides it showed she can move beautifully.
