1st: 2441 GRAHAM, Mr Tom Sh Ch Eald Dances With Wolves Among Nyliram JW ShC A seven-year-old male of exceptional quality, presenting the very essence of Sussex Spaniel type. His mature outline is compact, strong, and well-balanced, carrying himself with confidence throughout. Broad skull with the characteristic soft frowning expression, hazel eyes full of intelligence and gentleness, and correctly set lobe-shaped ears framing a classic head. The body is deep and well-ribbed, with a level topline and strong coupling, giving an overall impression of power without coarseness. Coat gleams with a rich golden-liver tone, of proper texture and condition. Movement is steady and true, with good reach and drive, maintaining the distinctive rolling gait of the breed without exaggeration. Calm and composed in the ring, handled to perfection. A true ambassador for his breed. A worthy winner and delighted to award him Best of Breed. Later to win the Veteran Group.

2nd: 2434 ALDERSON, Mrs S Sh Ch Meggamooch Ulysses. Of pleasing type with a broader skull than the winner and a slightly heavier neck, yet retaining overall balance and strength. He presents with strong, straight forelegs, well-formed feet, and a deep chest giving substance and endurance. While his outline and construction show quality, his movement was not as true or fluid as the first-place dog, lacking the same level of reach and drive. Nonetheless, a sound representative of the breed and a worthy placement.

1st: 2438 ALLEN-LINE, Mrs E Bjorksatras Corfitz At Deckham (imp Swe) A promising young male of 10 months, presenting a pleasing outline and showing good potential for the future. Head still developing, not yet fully balanced, though with a good occiput and expression beginning to come through. Elbows tight, displaying correct construction in forequarters, with nice bone and strong, well-shaped feet. Ears set a little high at present, but this may settle with maturity. Hindquarters show well-let-down hocks, giving strength and promise of good drive as he develops. Overall, a quality puppy who should mature well with time BPD and BPIB.

1st: 2438 ALLEN-LINE, Mrs E Bjorksatras Corfitz At Deckham (imp Swe) Repeat PD.

Class 1150 PGD (2 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 2437 ALDERSON, Mrs S Meggamooch Yesterday. A young male who still has some maturing to do, with a head that needs further development and at present lacks the classic breed type, being a little short in muzzle. Ears are correctly set and of good shape, and he carries a pleasing neck flowing into well-laid shoulders. Legs are well boned and strong, with well-let-down hocks providing support and drive. Moved out well and showed to advantage, but more time is needed for the head to finish and for overall breed type to become more evident.

Class 1151 LD (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 2436 ALDERSON, Mrs S Stormacre Tiny Dancer With Meggamooch JW. A quality male displaying the characteristic Sussex head, with a soft yet intelligent expression, tight eye, and well-set ears framing the skull correctly. He presents an arched neck flowing smoothly into a firm, level topline, giving a picture of balance and strength. Forelegs are well boned and straight, with good feet and a deep chest providing the substance required for the breed. Hindquarters are strong with well-let-down hocks, enabling typical Sussex movement—steady, true, and with the distinctive rolling gait. A worthy winner of Limit Dog and delighted to award him Reserve Best of Breed.

1st: 2435 ALDERSON, Mrs S Meggamooch Winterfell. Bitch of nine and a half years, typical of the breed and displaying all the essential characteristics. She has a good head with a soft, intelligent expression and a tight eye, contributing to her classic Sussex look. Well-boned with straight legs and strong, correctly shaped feet, she moved with purpose and made good use of her tail, completing the picture of a sound and balanced exhibit. A worthy winner of Reserve Best of Breed, and it was a pleasure to learn she is the dam of my Best Bitch—an excellent testament to her quality and contribution to the breed.

2nd: 2446 PENNEMAN, Mrs N & WAKEFIELD, Mrs V I Ned Bel Sh Ch / Lux Ch Int Sh Ch Eald Village. At eight years old, this bitch presents a sound example of the breed, though the head of the first-place exhibit was preferred for overall type and expression. She shows good leg bone, though feet could be tighter, and her rear movement was not as strong or precise as the winner’s. Nevertheless, she remains a quality representative of the breed and a worthy placement.

Class 1157 JB (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 2448 WYTON, Mrs Hazel M Willowswalk Miss Sunshine Over Belbroughton. A young bitch who is still developing, with a head that requires further maturity to achieve the desired breed type. She shows a pleasing depth of chest for her age and carries a strong, firm back, giving a good outline. Feet are not her strongest feature, lacking the tightness required, but her well-let-down hocks provide strength and promise for improved movement as she matures.

Class 1158 PGB (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 2447 WAKEFIELD, Mr Christopher Bernard & WAKEFIELD, MRS Una Des Terres De Beaulieu Avec Norriss (Imp) Fra. A quality bitch with a good, clean eye and a pleasing head, displaying the typical expression of the breed. She moved well around the ring, using her tail to advantage and maintaining a balanced outline. Would prefer a little more substance to complete the picture, but overall a sound and attractive exhibit.

2nd: 2443 MCGEACHIE, Mrs Patricia Ann & MCGEACHIE, MR Brian Malbecmogs Lady Of The Lake At Klanhallion. Heavier in head than the winner, which slightly detracts from overall balance. Front is a little wide, though she carries herself well and moves with purpose. Tail carriage tends to be a little high, but she remains a sound exhibit with several pleasing qualities.

Class 1159 LB (2 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 2445 MOWBRAY, Mrs Sue Crumbledor Bella Lestrange. A bitch of good breed type, presenting a pleasing overall picture. Ears are correctly set and she carries a nicely arched neck, adding elegance to her outline. Slightly heavier around the shoulders than ideal, yet she remains well-balanced with well-boned legs, adequate feet, and good depth to chest and body. Movement was steady and true, demonstrating her sound construction.

Class 1160 OB (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 2435 ALDERSON, Mrs S Meggamooch Winterfell. A beautiful bitch who exemplifies Sussex Spaniel type, presenting a balanced outline and a calm, composed ring presence. Her head is classic, with a soft expression and correctly shaped eyes, framed by well-set ears. Neck is nicely arched, flowing into a strong back and well-coupled body with good depth of chest. Bone is strong without coarseness, and feet are correct, completing a picture of soundness. She moved with purpose and typical rolling gait, maintaining her topline throughout and using her tail to advantage. A worthy winner. Best Bitch.

2nd: 2444 MOWBRAY, Mrs Sue Sh Ch Gainsmill Lilly Luna Potter At Crumbledor. A quality bitch sharing many of the virtues of the winner, though the head of the first was preferred for overall balance and expression. She displays good feet, a well-presented coat of correct texture, and a well-set tail carried to advantage. A sound and typical exhibit, worthy of her placing.
