1. Rocky Succession of Baron at Madifrey (Imp Pol) (Miss A O'day). Nice quality puppy of good size and substance. Masculine head with large dark eyes, good length of muzzle finished squarely with big black nose, strong jaw and long, low set ears. Strong neck, good shoulders, could have a touch more upper arm, super chest and ribbing for age, firm topline and moderately angulated rear. Moved freely holding a good outline but could cover the ground a little better in profile. In super coat and condition. BP and shortlisted in the puppy group.

1. Tarmachan Tre Valli (Mrs F & Mr M Buchanan & Maclaren) Not quite 2 years old and still some maturing to do but presents a nicely balanced outline with good reach of neck, straight front, good length of back with tail set and carried well. Sound front and rear assembly, well ribbed back to strong loin and well muscled rear. Lovely head of correct proportions with domed skull, fine, low set ears, defined stop and large eyes that could be a touch darker but still has a kind, intelligent expression. Moved out well, covering the ground easily, good out and back and maintaining his outline in profile. Handled and presented to an advantage and had no hesitation in awarding him the RCC.

1.  Ch/Ir Ch Claela Infinity and Beyond (Mrs P & Miss C Mcgregor). 4yr old who was made more of himself than the others here, presenting a pleasing outline on the stack and moving more freely. Masculine head with good muzzle, nice ears, fairly dark eyes and intelligent expression. Good size and substance with straight front, strong neck, firm topline and well set and carried tail. Good chest, well ribbed back to strong loin and moderately angulated rear. In good coat, moving well once settled, the best out and back and circling the ring with a free gait.

2. Claela Lets Drink A Toast (Mrs P & Miss C Mcgregor) 2.5yr old son of 1st who was completely distracted by his kennelmate much to his handlers’ dismay! Nevertheless he is strongly made and no denying he’s male with handsome head and quite the mischievous glint in his eye! Soundly made with good depth of chest, good bone, could have more upper arm, well ribbed back with firm topline and strong rear. Wasn’t making the most of himself on the move but went soundly enough holding his outline.

1.Multi Ch Gairside Good Lord JW ShCM ShCEx Cw19 VW (Mr C & Mrs A Makey) I was delighted to see this beautiful veteran enter the ring. A few days shy of his 10th birthday and not the first time I’d met him. I still recall awarding him BP at an open show all those years ago and thinking he was an exciting prospect, I didn’t imagine back then that almost a decade later I’d be awarding him a CC! Super for size, balance and substance with proud head carriage, firm topline and well set and carried tail. Noble head of good proportions with lovely eyes, squarely finished muzzle, defined stop, strong jaw and correctly set long, supple ears. Strong neck into good shoulders, super chest and ribbing, strong loin, straight front and correctly angulated rear. Outmoved the rest of the dog entry with his free, effortless action, good length of stride and accuracy out and back. In superb coat and condition and hiding his years so well. DCC.

2. Ch/Ir Ch Tarmachan Ice Cool VW (Mr R & Mr A R Bailey & Yates). Another veteran who is a credit to his owners, presented in first class condition. Domed head with low set ears, good length of muzzle and big black nose, eyes could be a little darker. Soundly made with nice balance to his outline, not quite as well angulated in front as 1 but has a straight front, firm topline and moderately angulated rear. Moved well but didn’t go with as much purpose as 1.

1. Ch Tarmachan Clootie Dumpling (Mrs F & Mr M Buchanan & Maclaren) An Easy winner of this class and of such obvious quality I presumed she would be my CC winner! Beautiful head and expression with domed skull, correct length of muzzle finished squarely, defined stop and long, low set ears. Strong neck of good length, straight front, well ribbed back with good spring of rib, firm topline, strong rear and good bone. Moved with ease maintaining her outline, accurate out and back with tail carried correctly. RCC.

2. Ir Ch Claela Sweet Afton at Arona (Mrs P & Miss C Mcgregor). 2yr old of pleasing balance and substance. Strong neck, decent shoulders but could have more upperarm, good ribbing and topline, well muscled rear with long tail set and carried well. Head of good proportions with fairly dark eyes, long muzzle, strong jaw, long supple ears and such a friendly expression. Moved freely with some reach and drive but couldn’t match the action of 1.

Veteran Bitch

1. Ch Tarmachan Black Ice Ww18 (Mrs F, Mr M & Miss A Buchanan, Maclaren & O’day). A glorious veteran who I’ve judged in the past and just never seems to age. Lovely for size, balance and condition, well muscled all through, in quality coat and handled to an advantage. Beautiful feminine head of correct proportions, domed skull and long, low set ears, squarely finished muzzle and strong jaw, large dark eyes and intelligent expression. Super neck and shoulders, straight front, good chest and ribbing, firm topline and strong, well constructed rear. Outmoved all of the competition on the day with a super action in profile, covering the ground with good reach and drive, head held proudly and tail carried correctly. BCC. The challenge for BOB between 2 beautiful veterans with a combined age of almost 19years old was quite special but it was the bitch that had the edge on the move taking BOB & BV and later Veteran Group 3.
