Obviously a disappointing entry numerically but not unexpected considering how far south the show is plus a double club show being held in the midlands the following day. However, I was more than happy with my winners and especially pleased to see the BOB shortlisted in a quality group.

1st: LOCK, Mrs & Mr Km & Dj Chestnutcres Beam Me Up. 19month h/l who appealed for size and balance with long neck into well laid shoulders, good chest and ribbing, strong loin, nicely rounded rear with correct angulation and good width behind. Pleasing head and expression with dark eyes, correctly set ears and well balanced length of muzzle. Moved very well in all directions with good reach and drive, I would imagine he would look even better in profile if he was moved a little quicker. Fabulous skin and condition. I didn’t think I would later hand both the dog and handler their first CC however in the challenge he was easily the best overall for construction, movement and balance and thoroughly deserved to top the male entry. CC, BOS, Best Special beginner.
2nd: WATSON, Dame Joanna Tinkerbell Karamouche Pandamonium. Very sweet 8 month p/p who gave away a lot in maturity here but has plenty of promise. Pleasing in outline with good neck and decent length of body, well set and carried tail, well muscled rear, just a little narrow in front. Lovely head and expression, ears well set but a little soft at the moment. Moved happily but needs to settle in topline. Beautifully presented coat and such a delightful temperament. BPD.

1st: BAKER, Mr Ronnie & BAKER, Mrs Sherin Jassendue Amari. p/p up to size but has good balance to his outline, maybe just a touch short in neck but decent shoulders, good chest and ribbing and well angulated rear. Masculine head with good ears, dark eyes and alert expression. Moved freely.

1st: KEMPSTER, Lady Margaret & REES, Miss Gwenllian Apache Red Horse Draczata At Oolagha (Cze Imp). Elegant p/p who won here on his lovely profile movement with head held high, covering the ground easily and holding his outline firm. Lovely neck, firm topline and well set and carried tail. Sweet face with clean cheeks, dark eyes and alert expression, ears could be better. He looked good circling the ring but could be better out and back, in correct veil coat, handled to an advantage.
2nd: HAMPSON, Mrs J Cefndaidi Emelia. Another p/p in the correct veil coat, bigger than 1 but still with pleasing balance to his outline, a touch more neck would improve it further. Firm topline with tail set and carried well, could stand straighter in front. Pleasing head with good ears, lovely dark eyes and correct length of muzzle. Such a relaxed attitude, perhaps a little too relaxed on the move!
3rd: PANAYIOTIS, Mrs A D Ynchreenoo Masquerade At Annamyha

1st: VAN ZYL, Ms Katie Shumllea Hot Spot Of Brighthound. 5yr h/l who was a little unsettled at first but once he got his mind on the job he made a good account of himself moving more accurately out and back than 2, sound in profile and maintaining his outline well. Typical outline with good neck, slender legs, balanced length of body and well angulated rear. Masculine head of good proportions with good ears, well spaced dark eyes and tapered muzzle, lips could be a finished a little neater. Presented in lovely condition.
2nd: HAMPSON, Mrs J Cefndaidi Emelia.

1st: BAKER, Mr Ronnie Scherzando Taiki. 7yr h/l, big enough but with typical balance to outline, good neck and shoulders, deep chest and good ribbing, firm topline and well angulated rear. Masculine head of good length with correctly set ears, well spaced eyes and well finished muzzle. Moved well out and back but it was his profile movement that really caught my eye. He moved around the ring with a flowing, elegant action, plenty of reach and drive, holding his outline firm. In the challenge his construction and movement won him the RCC. BV.

1st: WALKER, Mr P J Moelmo's Black Velvet Avec Petwalk (Imp Nor) Gorgeous 10 month p/p with a great attitude. Small and feminine with long, graceful neck, level topline, medium length of body, well angulated fore and aft, lovely chest and ribbing for age. Such a pretty face and alert expression, good chiseling, dark eyes and lean muzzle with tight lips. Moved well in all directions, accurate and elegant with good tail carriage. BP.

1st: HAMPSON, Mrs J Zerachiel Air Of Beauty. p/p who unfortunately didn’t seem that happy so wasn’t making the most of herself. Soundly constructed with good front and rear assembly, good length of body, adequate depth of chest, good legs and feet. Pleasant head of good proportions, correctly set ears and dark eyes. Moved with a good length of stride and firm topline but just didn’t settle enough to use her tail.

1st: WALKER, Mr P J Petwalk Naked Attraction (jkc). I was delighted to see this beautiful h/l walk into the ring. Small and so well balanced with graceful neck into super front assembly, broad, deep chest, firm topline, well rounded and correctly angulated rear, slender legs and good feet. Beautiful head with clean cheeks, correct length of muzzle, dark expressive eyes and large, correctly set ears. Lovely skin and furnishings, presented in first class order. Moved as well as her conformation suggested, accurate and effortless with a lovely length of stride, elegant in outline with head held proudly, topline firm and tail carried correctly. She had some competition from the open class winner but ultimately took the BCC and BOB and was shortlisted in strong group later in the day. Certainly deserves to wear her crown.

1st: KIRKWOOD, Mr G Ch Bryelis Star A'traction JW. Another lovely h/l who really was unlucky to meet the limit winner on such good form. Graceful outline with good reach of neck, deep, wide chest, good topline and underline, well angulated fore and aft, high set tail and well muscled rear. Would like her just a fraction shorter in body for ideal balance. Lovely head of good length and correct proportions, lean with good chiseling, well spaced dark eyes and lovely ears. Looks a picture on the move circling the ring with plenty of reach and drive holding her outline even better than she does when standing. A really lovely type and super temperament. RCC.
2nd: KEMPSTER, Lady Margaret & REES, Miss Gwenllian Ch Oolagha Kristol Ayla JW. Ultra feminine p/p with the prettiest head and expression. Lovely size and shape with super veil coat presented beautifully. Long neck, decent shoulders, good chest and ribbing, firm topline and correctly angulated rear. Beautiful head of good length with lean cheeks and muzzle, good chiseling, lovely dark eyes and well set and used ears. Moved well with decent reach and drive maintaining her elegant outline in profile but she couldn’t match the accuracy and ground covering action of 1 on the day. Nevertheless a worthy Champion and easily one of the best in the entry.
