Blackpool & District Canine Society

Breed: Eukanuba Puppy Stakes

Blackpool & District Canine Society Championship Show

20-22 June 2025

Eukanuba Puppy Stakes

Day 1:

Dog:

1: Olijah Going in Deep, Breed: French Bulldog (Miss O Timms), Had given him the RCC earlier in the day and he continued to impress me. He is the correct shape for the breed with a good topline and good for size. His head and expression are a delight, and he moved out soundly on the move to take this class.

2 Huffish Black Hero TAF NAF, Breed: Poodle (Standard) (Mrs J Wells), Good for size and presented beautifully. He has a masculine head and the desired expression. Long neck into good topline having the desired hollow behind the wither. Fabulous tail and carriage. Light on his feet, he moved out soundly.

3: Lumillion Crazy in Love, Breed: Miniature Schnauzer (Mr S & Mr A Lowton-Humphries)

Bitch:

1: Kiss Kiss Du Chateau Noblesse at Ellemich (Imp Deu), Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (Mrs M & Miss T Chapman & Ireland). Gave this wonderful girl the RCC at her first show earlier in the year and I fell in love with her then. In fact today, I fell in love with her just that little bit more. She is an absolute delight. Her head shape is classical, and her expression can not but make you smile. Wonderful topline and beautifully carried tail. On the table there is very little to change, except that she needs to finish her coat change, but it is on the move that you simply cannot ignore her. She has wonderful carriage, an ease of stride and is sound out and back. She has the most assured future, and we will be hearing so much more about her. Best on the day

2: Sharpuggles Hold On Tight, Breed: Shar Pei (Mrs S Grimshaw). I was very impressed with this young lady as she has all the breed attributes and is already all of a piece. Her eyes were excellent, and she has neat ears. Good skin, not overly done in anyway. Sound and stylish on the move.

3: Nikisan Chill Your Beans, Breed: Miniature Schnauzer (Mrs Graham)

Day 2:

Dog:

1: Eastriding Royal Gold, Breed: Spaniel (English Springer) (Mrs K Jenkinson), Very decent for type and size and he put his feet in the right place on the move. Looks good in profile with the correct swing in front. Just needs to finish in head and middle piece and he’ll be away.

2: Winterwell The Card Player (ai), Breed: German Shorthaired Pointer (Ms G Samria). Super for type, size and condition. This young male scored in head and expression. Strong neck into firm topline. Excellent forehand and has good static balance. He was just a tad untidy going away today.

3: Blunderhall Jackson, Breed: Beagle (Ms S Hardisty)

Bitch:

1: Rivertone Wicked for Sharnphilly, Breed: Weimaraner (Mrs S & Mrs S Dyer & Oddie), 6 months’ old and at her very first show I was told. Well you would not have guessed as she came in and performed like a seasoned campaigner. Another who impressed me so much. Her movement was impeccable with the most wonderful side gait and precision on the out and back. Her head is yet to finish but her expression is superb. Her outline is breathtaking, and she is completely balanced. Add to this the most wonderful colour and you are on to a winner. Another who will have the most exciting future ahead of her and she will very soon be hitting the high spots. Best of the day

2: Flatcharm Regina Phalange, Breed: Retriever (Flat Coated) (Miss K L Holland), charming young lady with the typical Flat Coat outlook on life. Delightful head and expression, good for size and balanced in outline. She never stopped using her tail and she put on a super show.

3: Winterwell Monet’s Magic of Fayemm (ai), Breed: German Shorthaired Pointer (Mr E & Mrs L Lockett)

Day 3:

Dog:

1: Jojavik Assassin’s Code, Breed: Dobermann (Mrs J A & Miss V L & Mr R J Ingram & Ingram & Lack). Ultra smart and upstanding this boy is all male but in no way coarse. His outline stacked is super, strong neck, decent forehand and firm in topline. He is handled beautifully to get the very best out of him and he puts his feet in the right place on the out and back. Cannot be ignored in profile where he keeps his topline and has an eye-catching action.

2: Bareve Rocket Man, Breed: Australian Terrier (Mr T D Harrison). Another ultra smart young man whose head and expression are textbook. On the tip of his toes at all times. He was presented to perfection and had a wonderful coat texture. He is super for size and really catches the eye in profile. Liked him enormously.

3: Philoma The Professional, Breed: Giant Schnauzer (Miss G Willetts)

Bitch:

Without doubt the best class over the 3 days, chock full of beautiful puppies, some didn’t even make the shortlist.

1: Burneze Maid to Measure, Breed: West Highland White Terrier (Miss M Burns). Simply beautiful, in walked this precocious young lady and demanded to know who was coming second to her. Her outline took my breath away and, on the table, she is a delight. She has a totally balanced head with the most delightful expression coming from the darkest of eyes. Strongly built all through being deep in chest and ribs with no sign of any weakness. Perfect topline with correctly set and jauntily carried tail. On the move she was precise on the out and back and kept her outline perfectly in profile. Add to this the most wonderful coat texture presented masterfully. Could not get past her today and, again, this is not the last we have heard of her, and she is another who has the most exciting future ahead of her. Best of the day and Best Overall All 3 days.

2: Chandlimore Rainbow over Jaeva, Breed: Jack Russell Terrier (Mr A & Mrs K Nagrecha & Tate), another absolutely delightful puppy and the old adage that she was unlucky to meet 1 today could not be truer. Perfect for size and spanned easily. She has a delightful expression, soundly built and beautifully presented. Moved out with such style and charisma.

3: Optimus Juliette, Breed: Bullmastiff (Mr P J & Mrs D Myers)
