I would like to thank all the exhibitors for bringing their dogs and for accepting my decisions so sportingly. This was my first time judging the breed at Championship level, and I was truly blessed to have had such a lovely entry. It was a real privilege to go over so many quality Cavaliers, and I thoroughly enjoyed the day. My thanks also go to my capable steward, Linda Hall, who kept the ring running smoothly throughout the day and ensured everything flowed effortlessly.

I was looking for a true toy spaniel - full of elegance, charm, and the most delightful temperament. I was pleased to find many exhibits who embodied these qualities, and I was particularly delighted with the depth of quality in my final line-up. Dentition was good across the board, and presentation was of a consistently high standard. I was especially happy that all of my final top award winners truly reflected this key part of the breed standard: "Gay, friendly, affectionate and absolutely fearless sporting spaniel with no tendency to nervousness." Thank you once again for making it such an enjoyable and memorable day.
