STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER BITCHES

I wish to thank Northern Counties SBT club for their kind invitation to Judge their Championship show and the warm welcome I received. Special thanks to my very efficient ring stewards Tash and Justin who kept the ring running smoothly and to the exhibitors who brought some super bitches for me to go over which made some of the decisions very difficult, I really had to nitpick to separate some exhibits which bodes well for the future. A special mention to open bitch wow what a class the best I’ve ever judged so much quality on display well done to breeders & owners if I never judge again that class will stay with me forever such a joy.

General observation since I last judged teeth have vastly improved, I found no converging canines, good bites a plenty, and no breathing issues, Movement on the whole good although the ground wasn’t exactly lending itself to this and as it was the fourth day lots of bait scattered about causing some distraction and naughtiness in some exhibits, we’ve all been there. Lack of rib still persists and there were some very plain headed bitches with no Stafford expression even amongst the most substantial. Some bitches lost out on high awards due to condition either too stripped down for me or overweight I know it is difficult as seasons & maternity duties can play havoc with showing them in the best condition however, it does spoil overall balance, and the standard was so high is all my classes.

1st Fords BULLRICH KNOCK IT OFF AT JAMNLOZ (IMP DEU)

 R/W 7mnth caught my eye as she came into the ring, very much a raw baby she has beautiful head shape with dark eyes and super expression a good length to her muzzle and open nostrils, she has enough width to her front a level topline nice angulation front and back and her rib is developing nicely she moved okay once settled, one I will watch with interest should have a bright future good luck with her BPB & RBPIS on Referee Decision

2nd Boulton and Hayton’s DUSKLIGHT WHO’S THAT GIRL

Wht/Rd Pied 9mths another very typy nice puppy she has lovely head shape giving an appealing expression a good length to her muzzle open nostrils and dark eyes, she has good angulation to her front and back and her rib is developing nicely her topline is level and was held on the move she moved and handled well a close decision just preferred the expression & balance on 1st today

1st Owen’s TAGSTANE AMBER WHISKEY

Br 10mths has strength in head with good width to muzzle open nostrils and has a nice dark eye, she has good width to her front and is well boned and showing good muscle development, her fore chest and rib are developing nicely she has good shoulder angulation she was powerful on the move handled very well another that should do well good luck with her

2nd Pett’s ARKENSTAFF SHES THE ONE

Blk/Br feminine head shape with nice dark eyes and neat ears, her nostrils are open, and she has tight lips she has enough width to front, and her fore chest is developing nicely she has good angulation to her shoulders and a level topline she moved out well for her handler preferred the strength of bone on 1st

1st Banner’s GEORDIESTAFF HADAWAY PET

Brindle took my eye as she entered the ring and wasn’t disappointed when going over her, she has a beautiful head shape nice length of muzzle with strength, neat ears and open nostrils. She has width on front and her fore chest and rib are developing nicely, she has good angulation front and back and very well balanced she moved out well for her handler good luck with her RCC

2nd Willet’s HAMASONS HEARTS ON FIRE

Wht & Rd pied nice head shape with dark eyes she has a good length to muzzle and open nostrils good width to her front and plenty of bone her fore chest and rib are developing nicely she is well muscled and shown in fit condition moved out well for handler

Blk/Br Super head and expression nice dark eye neat ears good width to muzzle and has decent width to her front she is short coupled has a strong backend with a good bend of stifle she was shown in fit hard condition from my notes balanced and handled well

2nd Montalant & Aissa’s BRAVE SPIRIT CITRUS FRESH (ATC BB19213 Fra)

Rd/Wht Nice head shape with good length to her muzzle she has open nostrils, and a lovely expression, she has a straight front with decent width a level topline and good rear angulation she was shown and handed well interested learn after the show she goes back to some of my dogs

Blk/Br nice head shape good expression and has dark eyes she has enough width to front a good depth of brisket she has good rib & fore chest and good angulation back and front shown in good fit condition she is balanced and moves and handles very well

2nd Maude’s STORMNOIR’S MYSTERIOUS

Blk/Br nice head shape with a good length of muzzle super expression and dark eyes she has enough width to front a good depth of brisket, good rib and has good angulation back and front she was shown in good fit condition moved and handled well preferred the shorter coupling on 1st

3rd Ford’s ROSSOBULL DIAMOND DIVA AT JAMNLOZ

Blk/Br standard size she has a pleasing head shape with a good length of muzzle open nostrils and has nice width to her front she is short coupled with good rib nice bend of stifle and is balanced she moves well and was shown in super condition

2nd Funnell & Wiggin’s POWERPACK HELGA HUFFLEPUFF

Blk/Br another very nice bitch many of the attributes of 1st she has a pleasing head shape dark eyes with an appealing expression she has good width to her muzzle she has a nice straight front and good depth of brisket, moved out well for handler, just preferred the shorter coupling on 1st

Blk/br one I have admired from the ringside for a while and she didn’t disappoint she has a lovely head with a dark eye giving a super expression her nostrils are open, and she has good width to her muzzle she has a nice straight front plenty of rib and good angulation to her front and back she is short coupled and handled expertly

2nd Harkins & Jones’s KAMARISTAFF ROYAL DUCHESS

Blk/Br top sized she has a nice head shape a nice dark eye which gives an appealing expression, she has good width to her front is short coupled and has good amount of rib her topline is level and was shown in good fit condition unlucky to meet 1st today moved and handled well

Blk/Br Nice head shape of good portions giving a super expression she has a straight front with good width and a nice amount of rib she is short coupled balanced and was shown in fit condition with good muscle definition she moved well around the ring and was handled expertly

2nd Owen’s TAGSTANE TERRORS CLASP

Another super brindle she has a lovely head and expression and good width to her muzzle her front is straight with good width; she has nice amount of rib a level topline a good bend of stifle and she moved with drive was handled expertly unlucky to meet 1st today

1st Gallagher’s CH ALSHANCORN SAYS WHO JW

 A Super bitch who fits the standard well, lovely head with the neat ears and dark eyes, giving her a super expression she has great strength for her size, has a level topline and a strong rear end she stood four square, she’s compact and has lovely angulation back and front finished off with a good tail set, she’s beautifully balanced and moves well I had no hesitation awarding her the BCC I wish she was mine

2nd Hammond’s CH HAMMYSTAFF HOT LOVE

Another quality bitch stronger all round than my 1st she oozes breed type has a super head shape dark eyes she has good width to her front nice rib and a powerful rear end which she used to drive herself on the move a worthy champion loved her wicked expression and naughtiness

1st CH STORMFIRE CRACK THE CODE

R/W pied a bitch one I’ve always liked and judged before when younger she hasn’t lost any sparkle she has a good head shape with the darkest of eye, is clean lipped has a straight front and a level topline, she is short coupled and balanced, she has a strong backend which she used on the move finished off with a good tail set RBVIS on referee decision

2nd ALBERMARBULL MOULIN ROUGE AT DUSKLIGHT

What a beautiful old lady thirteen and half years young she won her well-deserved place on movement from my notes moves like a train she still has a beautiful expression with lovely dark eyes she has a level topline and shows a good level of fitness for her age she was expertly handled thank you for bringing her.
