Thank you to Bournemouth Canine Association for the invitation to Judge this beautiful breed. A special thank you to all the exhibitors for giving me the opportunity to put my hands on your lovely dogs. I know how much work goes into the preparation & I really appreciate the effort. The venue was stunning & the weather was very warm but the atmosphere was very relaxed, thank you all for your generous applause around the ring. Numerically the entry was not that good but thankfully the quality was still there. Thank you to my two stewards who kept everything running smoothly throughout & administered first aid to one of the exhibitors!

Dogs

Minor Puppy (1 )

1. Frampton. Strathmead Tennessee Waltz (ai). Stood alone but a worthy winner, very much a baby but coming together nicely & showing great promise. Loved his overall shape & balance. He has an appealing handsome head, developing well with a kind dark eye & melting expression. Straight in front with small tight feet, good body proportions & he moved steadily.

Puppy (3 )

Foster. Ixia Boys Don’t Cry At Shanoah. Loved this baby, at only 10 months he has a striking outline, is so well put together with good bone & substance. Straight front, clean neck & shoulders, well angulated upper arm with good spring of rib. Gently sloping topline & well angulated hinquarters. A well structured handsome head with plenty of work. Loved the texture & gentle movement in his coat. Such a stylish mover for one so young. Most promising. Best Puppy in Breed.

Richardson. Bluesprings Linda’s Legacy At Forestfire. Another well constructed youngster, pleasing in outline, solid front assembly & his body depth developing well. Pleasing head with a kind dark eye. Sound movement.

Randle. Rionore Bewitching Memory.

Brown. Riverbrue Deadpool. A quality youngster with a striking outline, racy & full of breed type. Such a gorgeous head, beautifully moulded with a kind dark eye, a melting expression & raised brows. His body is developing well, super front construction, a strong muscular neck leading into well laid shoulders, small tight feet, beautifully coated with a firm loin & short strong hocks. He moved well with power & drive from his muscular hindquarters, never losing that topline. Considered him for the RCC, but I feel his best is to come & he has time on his side. Will watch his progress with interest.

Harris. Fairhaven Young Soul For Konakakela (imp Swe) JW. Another quality youngster, well put together & good depth throughout. Different in type to 1 & built on a larger frame. He has a handsome masculine head with a rounded skull, kind dark eye, in super coat & condition & moved well.

Dewar. Gwendariff Bobby Dazzler (IKC). Another super quality youngster, unlucky to meet 1 today. He has an exquisite head, so balanced & beautifully chiselled, a dark eye with a soft affectionate expression. Moderately long muscular neck, deep in chest & brisket, well ribbed with a firm short loin & strong angulated hindquarters Presented in super coat & condition. A stylish mover, covering the ground with ease.

 Harris. Fairhaven Young Soul For Konakakela (imp Swe) JW. Repeat

 Murray. Quensha I Know Him So Well. Smaller in frame than 1 but neverthelessless has good body proportions, moderate length to neck leading into clean shoulders, a gently flowing topline. Handler tends to stack him far too wide at the rear which spoils his rear angulation. Refined masculine head with a kind dark eye. Moved soundly.

Russell. Tiroen Touch Of Magic By Settesoli (imp KCJ) Impressed with his super outline, clean & gently flowing. An appealing beautifully balanced masculine head with plenty of work & a gentle expression from his almond shaped eyes. A slightly arched neck set cleanly into his well laid back shoulders, straight in front with neat feet. Good depth to his chest & tight elbows, ribs carried well back to his firm loin. Super muscle tone & a well developed second thigh. Moved with drive from his strong & powerful rear hindquarters.

Macdonald. Sheldonite It Takes Two Baby. Well built with good strong bone. Pleasing in outline with deep chest & well angulated hindquarters. Masculine head with dark eye.

Post Graduate ( 1)

1. Rorke. Zakhan’s Diamond Jack. JW. He has a pleasing outline with good depth to his body. A masculine head, long & lean with a moderately deep muzzle & oval skull. Muscular arched neck into clean shoulder placement, deep forechest, with a pronounced sternum. Firm gently sloping topline into wide & powerful hindquarters. He moved with drive & purpose.

Edwards. Coppers Get Off My Cloud By Bonhomie (Imp Swe). My notes read…. Wow, Stunning! His outline is truly stunning, he flows so beautifully from the top of his gorgeous head to the tip of his tail. He seemed so relaxed whilst I was going over him even closing his eyes, which made me smile, but when asked to move he perfomed in true Irish style. Superb conformation, combining quality, breed type, substance & Raciness. Such a perfectly balanced handsome head, raised brow & chiselling under those dark affectionate eyes. Clean through the neck & shoulders, super front construction, deep throughout, with a firm loin. Strong muscular hindquarters with short strong hocks resulting in free flowing, powerful & stylish movement. Superbly presented, in excellent coat & condition. Delighted to award him the CC, his 3rd & Best of Breed, wonderful to hear that he was shortlisted in the Group.

Dufrat. Riverbrue Cast No Shadow On Haverley. A proportionate, handsome head with a dark almond shaped eye & soft expression. Impressive front assembly with well laid shoulders & return of upper arm, deep chested with a pronounced sternum. Strong in body & well angulated hindquarters. Moved well with power & drive.

Brown. Sh.Ch. Riverbrue Soldier On. Loved his outline, his body was so balanced, everything in the right place, a worthy Champion. His head was beautifully refined, with a kind dark eye & a melting expression. A muscular, slightly arched neck cleanly leading into sloping shoulders, deep in chest & strong thoughout his body. Strong muscular hindquarters with short strong hocks. He certainly came into his own when asked to move, powering around the ring with a lengthy stride, holding his topline & a lashing tail showing true Setter exuberance. so wonderful to see. RCC

Beresford. Jetsetter Wind Of Dreams. Another beautifully constructed dog with a super outline. Super front assembly, deep chested with plenty of lung room, pronounced sternum & strength to his body with good rear angulation. Handsome head, kind expressive eye. Moved soundly,

Russell. Sh.Ch. Lynwood Hocus Pocus At Settesoli JW. Another worthy Champion I have placed well in the past. At 8 years old, he may have a few more grey hairs now than he did then but he is still stunning & in super condition. He is so beautifully built with a super outline & a gently sloping topline. Good depth throughout with well angulated front & rear. He has retained his gorgeous refined head & affectionate eyes. He moved out well lashing his tail.

Macdonald. Redclyst Maximus. Another 8 year old, looking in super coat but carrying a little too much weight on this occasion. He has a gently sloping topline, clean through his neck & shoulders, deep chest & well angulated. Handsome head with a gentle expression. Moved out well.

Special Beginners Dog/Bitch ( 5 )

Poplawska. Shelindair Sing To The Rainbow At Cheyennesoul. Appealing in both head & body shape. She had a lovely clean outline with good body proportions, well ribbed & presented in fine condition. She moved out well holding her topline. Best Sp Beg.

Fox Kerryfair Heart To Heart. Another sweet headed girl with a kind eye. She was well built, with good front & rear angulation, prefered the topline of 1.

Catling. Teleri Here Comes Summer (ai). At 8 years old & I understand, litter sister to a bitch I have admired so much over the years & given a CC & Reserve CC to. She has very similar qualities, Elegance & Style without any exagerations. Long & lean head, so refined, beautifully expressive eyes. Well bodied, deep in chest, close fitting elbows, well angulated front & rear. shown in super coat & condition & giving away no indiction of her age. She moved out well driving from behind & retaining her topline. Such a difficult decision as both veteran Dog & Bitch were a credit to the breed. Best Veteran.

Mugford. Sh Ch. Lynwood Abracadabra JW. Another stunning 8 year old girl that I have placed well in the past. She still has such substance & style, such depth & strength to her body with super front & rear angulation. Her head now with a sprinkling of grey is so beautifully constructed. She moved with drive & precision.

Elkins. Sh Ch. Twoacres Promise Of Spring With Avacet.

Minor Puppy ( 3)

Crocker & Frost. Riverbrue Kinky Boots. At 7 months, very much a baby but so well put together & showing such promise. Loved her shape & balance, straight front, neat feet, good reach to her neck, fitting cleanly into her well laid shoulders. Flowing topline with super front & rear angulation. Such a sweet feminine head developing well with a dark eye & soft expression, moved beautifully with such confidence.

Brown. Seowns Honey. Such a pretty head with a gentle expression, good coat texture but very much a baby & needs time & body to complete the picture. A little erratic on the move.

 Peters. Buesprings Love Of My Life For Shirlilah. A lovely class of super babies but 1 stood out for me. She is so well put together, balanced & proportionate. At almost 11 months she has such depth & strength to her body with good bone. A super front assembly, clean neck leading into well laid shoulders, good return of upperarm, neat feet & well sprung ribs. She has a feminine head, a kind dark eye & a mischievous expression. A little bum high at the moment but this will drop down as she matures. Moved soundly, with drive & confidence. Best Puppy Bitch

 Roberts, Polmenor Pandora. A little finer in build than 1 but beautifully constructed with a super outline & a gently flowing topline. She has the sweetest of heads with a kind dark eye & a gentle expression. She moved really well with precision.

Nicholls. Riverbrue Storm. She stood alone in this class but she really appealed to me. Plenty of work in her beautiful head, oval skull, with a good finish to foreface. A kind dark eye & a melting expression. Her body is developing well, straight in front with strong pasterns & neat feet. Well angulated rear quarters with short strong hocks. She has a super racy outline & I feel the best is to come as she fills her frame, will watch her progress with interest. Sound & positive movement.

 Mugford. Kedalita Abfab For Lynwood JW. A beautifully constructed smart bitch with nothing exaggerated about her. Built on a slightly smaller frame but so balanced & proportionate with a racy outline. A pretty head, balanced with oval skull & kind dark eyes. Her body shows strength throughout with excellent muscle tone, enabling her to move with power & drive around the ring & super tail action.

 Cox. Tiroen The Sky’s The Limit. Loved her head, plenty of chiselling under the eyes with a kind expressive eye & a low earset. She is well balanced with a super outline, clean neck & shoulders. Moved well.

She moved with a purpose using her short strong hocks.

 Roberts. Polmennor Castaspell JW. She has a super outline with a good length of neck & well placed shoulders. Such depth & strength in her body with good front & rear angulations. A beautiful head, so feminine with the kindest expression. She was a little sluggish on the move & I felt her coat needed a little more control.

This was definitely the strongest bitch class of the day with so many quality bitches competing for that all important 1st place.

Humphreys. Riverbrue Ophelia Bongos At Henaleas. She caught my eye as she entered the ring & I was not disappointed when I went over her. Beautifully constructed, so balanced, everything just fitted & flowed. Her head was just gorgeous, so feminine with dark soulful eyes & a melting expression. Her slightly arched muscular neck fitted smoothly into her well laid shoulders, super front assembly & small well padded feet. She had strength & depth to her body & a gently flowing topline. Nice finish to her croup with good tailset & wide powerful hindquarters. Her personality came through when she moved with such style & enthusiasm, her tail carried correctly & lashing from side to side. Immaculately presented & in the best of coats, today she had that extra sparkle to win the Bitch CC

Boutell & Burbridge. Ixia Snow Vixen. Another super bitch with a striking outline, unlucky to meet 1 today in such good form. She has an appealing feminine head, well put together with a kind dark eye. She is well built with good overall balance & substance. Straight front, well ribbed, firm loin & strong hindquarters that took her around the ring with ease. Loved her enthusiasm, strong powerful movement & lashing tail. Res CC

Her head was beautifully moulded, good finish to foreface with oval skull & the kindest expression. She had a super front assembly, so clean through the neck & shoulders, good depth to chest & length in her body with a firm topline. Nicely angulated with wide muscular thighs. She moved with drive & purpose.
