Breed: Retriever (Golden)

Many thanks to the Officers and Committee for the invitation to judge at this prestigious show. I had a lovely day and the weather held right until after the awarding of the Challenge Certificates. My thanks to the wonderful stewards who kept the ring running well all day. 

Temperament was superb, didn't find one wrong mouth and movement on the whole was good.

Minor Puppy Bitch (8, 2 abs)

Lovely quality class to start the day.

1st Hill & Smith's Magarvey Cocomelon Just 6 months but so balanced, such a classic head with the softest of expressions, lovely dark pigment. Good reach of neck into a correct layback of shoulder, super bone and cat feet, this young lady once she settled was so sound and moved with a level topline and lots of confidence. True on the out and back - could of taken her home.

2nd Poile & Blackboro's Cherrimar Electra 7 months pushed 1 hard, she has a super outline, moved well, pretty head, dark pigment, ample bone and good feet, loved her angulation and overall shape. 

3rd Loach's Mahoneygolds Flower Power with Putjade

Another quality class bodes well for the future of the breed

1st & BPB & BPIB List's Haydengold Latest Gossip JW pale girl of 10 months, super head with again that melting expression, darkest of pigments, she has a balanced outline and stood four square, level top line and tail set which she held on the move. stood on the best of feet with good bone, plenty of heart room, well angulated and moved so well, 

2nd Megarvey Cocomelon

Junior Bitch (9, 1)

Another class where I was spoilt for choice, a super class

1st Del Mar Viffianeillo Marybel Sail To The Moon Loved the shape on this young lady, standing she had a dead level topline and tail coming straight off her back which she held on the move. She again was stood on lovely cat like feet and with ample bone. deep through the chest and with tight elbows, short coupled and the correct height. She had a particularly pleasing head and eye with the darkest of pigments. 

2nd Grindey's Bramstead Lovely Jubbly Another super girl, really didn't help her handler and gave her quite a hard time, another with the classic head and expression, square outline, good depth to chest, stood on good bone with tight feet. Well done for persevering.

3rd Healey's Marsabit Celtic Harp

Yearling Bitch (7, 3)

1st Collis' Tillsun Mistletoe Promises lovely head, eye and expression, good reach of neck into adequate angulation, deep through the chest, short coupled, good turn of stifle and lovely second thigh. She moved extremely well with reach and drive. She was in tip top condition.

2nd Smith's Goldmarker Luminora lovely shape on this bitch, sweet head and expression, super reach of neck into good layback of shoulder, good turn of stifle and well muscled. Level topline and good tail set, moved out well 

3rd Furbank's Kayzaelle Kumbuka Peace

Novice (10, 3)

1st Shearstone Hasta La Vista really liked this young lady just didn't want to play ball in the earlier classes but got her act together in this class. She has a super head, good front, very balanced all through, in this class she moved so well just a shame she threw it away in the previous class.

Graduate Bitch (6, 1)

1st & RCC Smyth's Kadaka Krumpet JW Wow what a girl, balanced, super outline, shown in the best of condition and handled to get the best out of her. Such a pretty head and no doubting she is female, lovely eye and such a gentle expression. She is well angulated front and rear, well off for bone without being overdone, she moves so well with reach and drive covering the ground with ease . Loved her.

2nd Haselden's Overdene Over The Raynebow such a lovely girl, very true golden, everything to like about her, handler tends to stand her wide in front which she isn't another that moved well.

3rd Riley's Jasrolyn Doe Ray Me Among Wylloh JW

Post Graduate Bitch (10, 3)

1st Price's Putjade Pumpkin Spice for Sybiton JW headed a quality class and was nit picking between the first three, so similar remarks apply for all three.  Sweet expressions, good pigment nothing not to like about the heads on all 3. All were balanced, good bone and angulation, super toplines, all moved true and well. These could swap places on another day.

3rd Wood's Strathlon Shirli Valentine

Mid Limit Bitch (8, 1)

1st  Smithie's Haydengold Echo Thru Time To Alfirio Free stood with that lovely happy wagging tail, beautifully balanced girl with a super head and a melting expression, good reach of neck into layback of shoulder, good bone, cat feet, plenty of heart room, spring of rib and good hindquarters. Moved well and handled to advantage. 

2nd Falconer's Soneve Simply Special For Siatham JW pale bitch who doesn't always co-operate with her handler, when she does she has a super outline and is well off for angulation, another who had really good muscle-tone, moved out and back true and covered the ground with ease.

3rd Ellis' Tenfield Sparkling Sunrise JW

Limit Bitch (9, 4)

1st Hill & Smith's Megarvey Deja Vu JW another lovely bitch from this kennel, she is very balanced with a beautiful head and sweet expression, lovely dark eye and super pigment.  She has a good reach of neck into a super shoulder, deep through the chest and good spring of rib. Short-coupled, level topline and well off for angulation. She moved so well showing reach and drive. Pushed hard for top honours.

2nd Chan's Lovissa Hello Dolly of Wemcrest this lass was unlucky to meet 1, again she has balance, angulation and a level topline. Moved really true and again covered the ground with ease. Just preferred the head of 1.

3rd Gayler's Carolake Voulez Vous 

Open Bitch (9, 0)

1st & CC Crookes & Jenkinson's Sh Ch Quakerhall Flare by Pandora this young lady could not be denied top honours on the day, presented and handled to absolute perfection. Beautiful head and such a picture on the stack, loved everything about her. She has such a balanced outline with nothing overdone, super topline, so true on the  and out and back and can really drive on the move, so well muscled. She is a credit to her owner.

2nd Zecchin's Olvinglay Faloria This is another super bitch and another that pushed hard for top honours, balanced, super head and sweet expression, very true on the move. Well off for bone with tight feet, good angulation and a picture when stacked. Shown in the best of conditions and handled to advantage.

3rd Loverock, Waldron Smith & Zubair's Sh Ch Thornywait Starstruck With Lovissa JW

Veteran Bitch (11, 3)

1st Crookes & Jenkinson's Quakerhall Victory Jubilee JW Another super bitch from this kennel, balanced, shown free stood, moved well. She has a such a lovely expression and a beautiful head to go with the expression, good dentition, ample bone and angulation, well muscled and moved well.

2nd Pounds-Longhurst's Rosgar Dolly O'Dare Among Mossburn VW super girl, lovely head, sweet expression, good reach of neck, super angulation. Moved well. 

3rd Frankland-Mace, Mace & Frankland's Purbarn A Breeze Down River 

Special Beginners Bitch (6, 1)

1st Smith's Rocamoka Funky Business feminine head, melting expression. ample angulation, good bone, level topline held on the move, stood on decent feet moved well. Beautifully presented.

2nd Overdene Over The Raynebow

3rd Ball's Shearstone Live In The Dream At Fivelms 

BOB and BPIB went to the males on the referees decision.
