My sincere thanks to the Committee of this very well run & friendly Show, my able stewards & the sporting exhibitors for the honour of judging their dogs today. Quite a few of the exhibits could have been a little fitter & have carried less weight, all my main winners impressed for fitness & condition.
Minor Puppy Dog: Entries: 8 Absentees: 0
1st Theondale Hopeful Heart (Mrs D Dobbs): 6 month old confident sort, sound all through, plenty of bone, head still developing, correct ear, length of neck, stands tidy & well front & back, compact, well-padded feet, good shoulder angles & ribbing, short coupled, moderate hind angles, displayed parallel movement for one so young, should finish well. BPD. 2nd Weipowa Shaken Not Stirred to Britmans (Ms J Pearman): Promising, eye-catching 7 month old, pale silver grey coat with a metallic sheen, perfect weight for age, in good body condition, right amount of bone, well-padded feet. Good head & expression in the making, clean neck, balanced angles fore & aft, brisket to elbow, well ribbed, nothing overdone in this youngster, he moved well, just lacked the confidence of 1 in this class. 3rd Sabsky Karlstejn (Mrs D J & Mr J R Kerslake).

1ST Sabsky Karlstejn (Mrs D J & Mr J R Kerslake): Rising 7 months, unsettled & makes his handler work hard, they just needs practice. Viewed from front, good head in the making, correct fore chest & width, elbows snug, front legs parallel, well ribbed back, strong, straight top-line, needs time to cover/muscle up his frame & settle on the move to appreciate his potentially ground covering stride. 2nd Caleydene Otterburn (Mrs B M Lewis): This team are new to showing & learning together, well boned 8 month old puppy, good head in the making, sound in front & rear, well ribbed back & showed a good stride when settled. 3RD Madreliath Magic Man (Mrs C Mutlow).

1st Gunalt The Morning After (Mr G D & Mrs R M Charlish): Just 12 months, shown in fit condition, muscling up & maturing nicely. Moderate young man, tidy & workmanlike all round, kind expression, good width, bone & feet, brisket to elbow, firm, straight top line, well angled fore & aft, moved confidently & well around the ring. 2nd Sabsky Karlstejn (Mrs D J & Mr J R Kerslake).

1ST Weipowa Shaken Not Stirred to Britmans (Ms J Pearman): 2nd in Minor Puppy, relaxed well in this class to sell himself beautifully, always difficult to get the best out of a youngster in the very first class of the day. 2ND Wallaroo Betelgeuse (Mrs A R & Mr G Porter-Manning & Porter) a few days off 9 months, unplaced in Minor Puppy, not complying with his handler at present, hopefully he’ll turn a corner & learn to relax & show himself off, he has good body proportions, width about him & bone, balanced angles fore & aft & hopefully will soon begin to fill his frame.

1st Weipowa Skyfall (Mr S & Mrs N Tamblyn & Dorkins): Fit & well-muscled dog, tight well-padded feet, correct amount of bone, well-proportioned head & expression, tidy when viewed from front, tight elbow, a little more length in upper arm would balance him, well ribbed, level top line, sloping croup, powerful, well-muscled rear assembly, well-let down, sound hock. 2nd Dartview Formula One (Mrs K L Goord): Longer cast than 1, moderate, neat & tidy boy, well within the standard for size, level topline kept on the move, sloping croup, not overdone in any way. 3rd Britmans Auriol (Dr R S & Mrs G L Hillen).

1st Sireva Rambler (ai) (Mr A & Mrs L C Thwaites & Woodward-Thwaites): 2 ½ years old, pale silver coat, well-muscled & fit. Correct amount of bone, masculine head, good length of ear, clean neck into a well laid shoulder, balanced in his angles so he didn’t disappoint on the move, brisket to elbow, well ribbed back to a short loin, powerful rear assembly but not overdone. 2nd Silberliss Bombadier (Mr R & Mrs L & Mr C Osborne-Fardon): Three year old dog, masculine head, deep flews, well set kind eye, clean neck, correct amount of fore chest & balanced angles, brisket to elbow, he covered his ground on a good stride, just needs a little more condition & fitness to finish him off. 3rd Deifstock Deja Vu for Teufel JW (Mrs E Martin).

1st Sh Ch Gunalt The Hangover JW (Miss E Charlish): a quality well-made dog all through, good quality of bone. Well in the standard for size, front view provides you with a well proportioned head & ear, correct amount of fore chest, correct width & straight perpendicular legs & feet, which are firm, compact & well padded. Profile view shows well laid shoulders, snug elbows, ample well sprung ribbing. Firm, level top line & correct underline, firm loin & powerful hindquarters, he displayed a smooth ground covering parallel gait with good reach & drive. He put in a performance full of enthusiasm in his class standing well but seemed to relax & lose a bit of interest in the challenge. RDCC. 2nd Aschfahl Kepanye JW (Mrs C A Carpenter): Good headed dog, all male without being coarse, level planes, deepflew, good set & length of ear, clean neck, good width & straight front, snug elbows, correct bone & deep padded feet, ample well sprung ribbing, powerful loin, slightly sloping croup, good width of pelvis & well-proportioned hindquarters, level top line held on the move, ground covering & coordinated, fit & carrying just the right amount of weight, just needs a little more time to absolutely finish. 3rd Sh Ch Rivertone Retrograde (Mr L Phillips).

1st Sh Ch Weipowa Double O’seven JW (Miss C Hill): This dog was presented in fit, hard condition, the picture of power & strength, he didn’t put a foot wrong in the Challenge which made him difficult to ignore. All male without being coarse, lovely metallic sheen to his pale, silver grey coat, masculine head, honest & precise front, good fore-chest, correct amount of bone & tight, well- padded feet. Clean neck into well laid shoulders, snug elbow, well sprung ribbing extending well back into his short firm loin, slightly sloping croup into powerful rear assembly with excellent length of second thigh. Level top line kept on the move, smooth, precise & parallel footfall. DCC. BOB. 2nd Sh Ch Kalimor Hudson (Miss D Kerr): Nothing overdone in this well-proportioned male worthy of his title, balanced all round, level top line, correctly proportioned head, deep flews, kind eye & level planes, correct ear, clean, arched neck into his a well laid shoulder, front view shows correct width, fore chest & sound straight legs, ending in good feet. Angles of shoulder are reflected in rear, so was smooth & coordinated on the move, brisket to elbow & well ribbed back, excellent hindquarter with correct length of second thigh. Couldn’t match the fitness & finish of 1 today.

1st Ir Sh Ch Silverkelvin Jupiter over Magdala VW Cw22 (Mr A & Mrs P Mcmahon): Pale silver grey 8 year old dog in good fit condition, young in outlook & full of energy on the move. Honestly made, correct head & ear profile, good length of neck, tidy front & rear assembly, correct brisket & ribbing, balanced angles fore & aft enabling a smooth stride. 2nd Braefell Goshawk JW (Mrs C Mutlow): 8 year old male with lovely head & expression, sound fore & aft, good colour, well boned & good ribbing, strong top line, moved soundly but not as animated as 1.

1st Silberliss Bombadier (Mr R & Mrs L & Mr C Osborne-Fardon): BSB. 2nd Chilternway Coriandrum (Miss K M & Mr T N Lord & Broomfield): 7 month old puppy bitch, well-schooled & neatly made all through, head breaking, good length of neck, satisfactory width, ribbed well back & level top line, balanced in her angles fore & aft, movement coming along nicely, should finish well. 3rd Sabsky Karlstejn (Mrs D J & Mr J R Kerslake).

1st Harelferg Happy Hour (Mr G D & Mrs R M Charlish): a few days over 6 months & very raw, Everything in the right place, lovely length to height, ribbing & top line deep padded feet, covered her ground on the move when settled, well-schooled & enjoying her day out. 2nd Theondale High Hopes (Mrs T A Hostler): Well boned promising 6 month old, head & ear still developing , stands true on tight, deep padded feet with good width all through, well ribbed back, correct loin, lovely level top line, angles balanced, a good stride when settled, she made her handler work hard. 3rd Weipowa License to Thrill (Dr R S & Mrs G L Hillen).

1st Rivertone Wicked for Sharnphilly (Mrs S & Mrs S Dyer & Oddie): Quality eye catching pale silver grey 9 month old, handled & presented well in excellent condition, carrying just the right amount of weight & muscle for age, sound from any angle, stands honest & true, good width in front, following through & over pelvis, tight, deep padded feet, shoulder well laid, correct ribbing & depth, into firm loin, moved as expected covering her ground well. BPB. 2nd Rivertone Athena over Silbermeer (Miss L Jefferies): Darker in colour, head still developing, well made with good width, depth & angles, a lot of the points apply but stands behind her sister in maturity, muscle & condition, everything there to grow into. 3rd Chilternway Coriandrum (Miss K M & Mr T N Lord & Broomfield).

1st Gunalt Conversation with Allenie (Mr P, Mr G T & Mrs A Bott, Allen & Morgan); Good quality bitch of lovely proportions & flowing lines, standing over a lot of ground, , good pigment, colour & size, presented in tip top condition, well set head on clean arched neck flowing to a well laid shoulder, correct ribbing, good underline, strong in loin helping provide a straight top line, balanced angles fore & aft aiding good ground coverage on the move with excellent reach & drive, sympathetically handled to produce her best. BCC. BOS. 2nd Akwamar Back Street Girl (Mrs S & Mr C Moll): When relaxed, stands well naturally presenting a well-proportioned frame, feminine head, good width about her overall, still maturing in body, rib & muscling, moved well.

Two months separating these young pups, maturity won through. 1st Rivertone Defying Gravity (Mr L Phillips): Workmanlike 9 month old with correct amount of bone, good head in the making, correct ear, clean, flowing neck into level top line, tidy shoulder assembly, not overdone in fore chest, correct depth of brisket & ribbing, strong loin, nicely proportioned hindquarters with good second thigh, sound on the move. 2nd Chilternway Coriandrum (Miss K M & Mr T N Lord & Broomfield).
Post Graduate Bitch: Entries: 5 Absentees: 1
Mixed class at different stages, all the girls still need time to mature & rightly so. 1st Longlox Celestial Star at Falconwoodz JW (Miss V Hays): 2 year old longhair, lovely length to height ratio, level top line & in fit bodily condition, displaying a pale correct coat, correct amount of bone, stands on tidy feet, good head, expression, fold of ear, correct shoulder angles & reflected in the rear, giving her an smooth ground covering stride. Well ribbed back, good width overall, level top line & slightly sloping croup. 2nd Vansant Vixen (Mr J Kelly): This 20 month old bitch still needing time to finish, not overdone in any way, feminine head & expression, tidy neck into well laid shoulder, good width, tight feet, correct brisket & ribbing, moderate hindquarters, level top line held on the move. 3rd Theondale Margot JW (Mrs T A Hostler).

1st Weipowa Ida JW (Miss C Hill): Nothing overdone, well-muscled & workmanlike 3 year old, fit condition, pale silver grey with a metallic sheen, feminine & tidy all through. Feminine head, good flew & fore face, correct width in body, bone & deep padded tight feet. Well angled fore & aft, good footfall, kept her level top line on the move. RBCC. 2nd Rivertone Aurora over Silbermeer (Miss L Jefferies): 2 year old, needs time to fully mature & fill out, kind expression, honest front, good feet, elegant neck into a well laid shoulder, adequate ribbing & loin, kept her top line on the move.

1st Rivertone Inevitable at Joneva (Mr J & Mr P M Evans & Pavey): Quality 2 year old, needs a bit more time to finish the picture & fill, put forward in fit condition, pale silver coat with metallic sheen. Feminine head & expression, well-proportioned with level planes & correct ear, arched neck into well angled shoulder, proportions & angles reflected in the rear, producing an effortless, ground covering gait, tidy front & feet, good width of pelvis & nothing overdone behind. 2nd Kalimor Summa Love JW (Mrs D Dobbs): Built on more workmanlike lines, a fully mature quality bitch, soundly made all through, displaying a level top line, good width & honest, true front, well boned & tidy feet. Shoulder is well laid & angled, well sprung ribs extending back to a short firm loin, slightly sloping croup, balanced hindquarter with no excesses, moved on a sound, ground covering stride. 3rd Sabsky Svratka JW (S Pilatova).

1st Sh Ch Kalimor Daisy JW (Mrs T A Hostler): Stood alone, a worthy champion, very nicely put together & in proportion, everything fits & flows, classic feminine head with folded ear, kind expression, clean neck, correct bone for size, good pasterns & feet. Shoulder well laid & angled, which are reflected in rear, well sprung ribbing, balanced hindquarter, moved freely on a coordinated & ground covering stride, in the Challenge she decided she’d done enough & didn’t sell herself in the line-up.

1st Tatze Bewitched by Thrihyrne (Miss S Anderton): Longhair of 9 years, still very sound & well coated, correct feminine head & expression, folded ear, good width all through, well off for bone, well laid shoulder, angles balanced fore & aft enabling a coordinated & ground-covering stride, going with a happy attitude. Well ribbed, displaying level topline & correct underline. BV.
2nd Sabsky Sasanka (S Pilatova): workmanlike 7 year old, carrying her age well, fit & free moving, lovely head profile, arched neck, well angled fore & aft, kept her top line on the move.
