Thank you to the Scottish Kennel Club for inviting me to judge at this well organised show. I had a thoroughly enjoyable day, thank you to the exhibitors for their entries and also a big thank you to ‘Joan’ my wonderful steward who kept everything running smoothly and efficiently.

1ST - Dalreavoch I’m On Fire (D R & L R Simpson), Promising Orange boy, masculine head and melting expression, lean neck into well laid shoulders, built on clean lines, strong bone and well bodied. Sound driving movement using his tail to advantage, keeping a level topline. Shown in good coat and condition. Pleased to award him BP, I will watch his future with interest.
2ND - Bournehouse Dare to Dream (Mr A M & Mrs L D Carr) Flashy Tri, not as mature as 1 on the day, lots to like about him. Elegant in outline. Pleasing head, with kind expression, correct eye shape and colour. Well angulated quarters, which he used to advantage on the move. Beautifully presented.
3RD - Latjeata Jack's The Lad (Mrs L A Beasley)

1ST - Ravensett Illusionist of Settavista (Miss R & Ms K Stead), Youngster I have judged before, he is maturing nicely. Oval skull, kind expression, well set ears, sweeping neck into well placed shoulders, level topline, deep ribs, short coupled. Correct angulation fore and aft. Moved well once settled. Shown in good quality coat and hard condition, pleased to award him BSB.

1ST - Ennydloc Yorkshire Liaison to Rowanmyle (Ms M A Vallance),Really liked, this young blue dog, well balanced throughout, masculine head with a mischievous expression, correct set ears, good length of neck into well placed shoulders, deep in body, short coupled, good spring of ribs. Moved soundly with good reach and drive.
2ND - Moorbrook Mogul of March (Mrs M A Snook), Dark blue, maturing into a lovely dog. Handsome head with masculine expression, kind eyes. Clean neck and shoulders, straight front, well bodied, strong hindquarters, level topline, which he held on the move, shown in hard muscular condition.
3RD - Kanietter Sea Shanty (Mrs T J & Mrs M Thomas & Sharples)

1ST- Mariglen Just George (Mrs B K Seaman), Eye catching, light blue, close decision between 1&2, Masculine head, with soft melting expression, correct amount of stop, elegant over his neck and shoulders, correct body proportions, strong front and hindquarters, good width of thigh. Beautifully presented, in good coat and hard condition, moved with style and drive to win the RCC.
2ND - Wansleydale Beguiled of Loonbrae (W Johnston),Another lovely boy. Mature Tri, unfortunately not in the best of coat today. Old fashioned type of head, classical expression, dark eyes, low set ears, strong well muscled neck into correctly placed shoulders, excellent angulation front and rear. Good chest and spring of ribs. Moved well using his correctly set tail to advantage.

1ST - Sh Ch/ir Sh Ch Bushbane Celtic Rant (Mrs M Mckiernan) My notes just say Wow ! Stunning Orange boy, who I have admired from the ring side, and I wasn’t disappointed to go over him. Beautifully head, with the darkest eyes, and a kind melting expression, excellent reach of neck, ribs well sprung, short coupled, strong level topline, well muscled throughout. He was a joy to watch on the move; he powers round the ring with reach and drive. Shown in tip top condition and handled to perfection. Thrilled to award him the Dog CC and BOB.
2ND - Sh Ch Dalreavoch Northern Legend (D R & L R Simpson), Another lovely dog, well balanced head with masculine expression, well defined stop, long arched neck, level topline, deep body proportions, well sprung ribs. Good angulation fore and aft. Strong ground covering movement, holding his head high and using his tail to advantage.
3RD - Rowanmyle Was A Skellum ShCEx (Ms M A Vallance)

Promising orange, pretty head and dark eye, ultra feminine throughout, balanced in outline, well set neck and level topline. Correct angulation, deep body, good spring of rib, well off for bone, tight neat feet. Moved with drive, shown in first class condition.
2ND- Rowanmyle of Prudent Lore (Ms M A Vallance), another lovely baby, not as mature as 1, pretty head, kind eye, well set ears, arched neck, level topline, good bone, correct tail set. Sound happy movement.

1ST - Oshowa Love to Dream (Mr P & Mrs N Welburn), Sisters what a pair of crackers, what a show girl, this lovely young lady is. Ultra feminine throughout, pretty head, good length of neck, deep in body, moved well, driving from the rear, with a lashing tail and that look at me attitude.
2ND - Oshowa Just A Dream (Mr P & Mrs N Welburn), Another beautiful youngster not as mature as her sister at the moment, similar remarks apply, beautiful head, kind expression. Well angulated fore and aft. Sound happy movement.

1ST - Oshowa Dream Come True (Mr P & Mrs N Welburn), My Star of the day, another I have admired from the ring side. Elegant and so well balanced throughout. Prettiest of heads, with good proportions, melting expression, with expressive eyes, strong neck, with good reach into well placed shoulders. Correct front assembly. Deep in brisket and short coupled. Strong quarters, which she used on the move. Moved with style, with lashing tail action. Shown in beautiful coat and condition. I am sure her title isn’t far away.
2ND - Bournehouse Eternal Flame for Meadowfoot JW (Mr D & Mrs A Paton) Another stunning youngster, close decision between 1& 2. Feminine headed, dark eye and soft expression, good reach of neck, leading into well angulated shoulder, good spring of rib and short coupled. Movement sound, driving from her correctly angulated rear. Shown in hard muscular condition. RCC, another who’s title can’t be far away.
3RD 7043 - Mariglen My Heart Will Go On with Monaysbridge JW (Mr R & Mrs J, Mrs J Hutchinson & Dennis)

1ST - Kanietter Sabonette JW (Mrs M Sharples), 2 year old blue. Won this class on her substance and elegance. Good reach of neck into well placed shoulders, good depth of chest and well sprung ribs. Well turned quarters and short hocks. Moved with strong driving action. Shown in first class condition, with good quality silky coat.
2ND - Wansleydale Mayflower at Latjeata (Mrs L A Beasley) Another lovely blue, very elegant, pretty head and pleasing expression, dark eye and well defined stop, built on clean elegant flowing lines, moved well, but not as positive as 1.
3RD - Mariglen Villanelle (Mrs B K Seaman)

1ST - Quensha's Strawberry Swing (Mrs Hj Kemp-Taylor), Pretty Tri, shown in beautiful condition, pretty head and kind expression, presents a lovely outline when stood, correct front angulation, good body proportions and rear angulation, unfortunately when challenging for best special beginner, just lacked enthusiasm on the move.
