YORKSHIRE COLLIE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW

Many thanks to the committee for asking me to judge at their show. I had a really enjoyable day and I would like to thank all the exhibitors for bringing me a great selection of exhibits.

SMOOTH COLLIES – BABY PUPPY D/B (3,1) Two lovely babies who I’m sure are going to swap places many times. 1 Russell’s KOCZKODAN IN MY HEART. 5 mths s/w b. Lovely feminine girl enjoying her day. Dark well set eyes and ears well placed and correctly tipped. Good underjaw and dentition. Needs more fill of foreface. Good strong neck in to level topline. Long tail well carried and great bend of stifle. Preferred front of this girl. 2 Jerrett’s COLDELEE BUSY BEIN FABULOUS. 5 mths s/w b. Another feminine girl and probably the more settled of the two. Felt she was a bit straighter in front. Good head qualities, nice dark eye and ear set giving sweet expression. Strong neck and level topline. Good bend of stifle and strong mover.

VD/B (2,1) 1 Russell’s KOCZKODAN MIDNIGHT SUN. 7 yrs s/w b. Very feminine, like the overall package but would like more of her. Good underjaw, lovely dark eye, foreface well filled and well placed ears, if a touch light. Sweet expression. Good depth of chest, moderate neck and well laid back shoulder. Good rear angulations and powerful rear movement. Would prefer better front reach. BVIB., RBVIS.

PD/B (3,2) 1 Lusty’s MANORDEIFI HIJACKED BY BLAMORDER. 8mths s/w d. Masculine young man with good head planes and underjaw. Beautiful dark eyes and well set and tipped ears. Slightly straight in front but good deep chest, well held topline and nice long tail. Good rear angulations and well let down hocks giving powerful rear movement. BPIB. RBPIS.

JD/B (2,2)

LD/B (1,0). 1 LIZONI THE DRIFTER. 2.5yrs tri d. This boy is all male. Good head with well moulded foreface, flat skull, good underjaw, well set and used ears, correct obliquely set eyes but would prefer them a touch darker. Good front and rear angulations. Good bone, length of back and tail carried well. Nice bend of stifle and short hocks. Good tight feet. Jet black coat. Very sound mover and covers the ground with ease.

OD (3,1) 1 Howard & Fort’s SHULUNE IMPERIAL INKHEART WITH CASATENTOLA. 22 mths b/m d. Masculine lad with balanced overall shape. Well blunted, wedge shaped head with good underjaw. Well set ears and kind expression, dark eyes but a bit fuller than I prefer. Well laid back shoulder and good upper arm giving good front reach. Well sprung ribs. Neat feet. Well arched muscular neck in to level topline. Well angulated rear with good bend of stifle and strong rear thrust. Very alert to handler. Felt that 2 had the better shoulder but preferred the flowing movement of this boy. BD/RBOB. 2 LIZONI THE DRIFTER. As LD/B.

OB (1,0) Jerrett’s COLDELEE ETERNAL SUNSHINE JW. 3 yrs s/w b. This girl oozes femininity. Nice overall proportions but to be critical I’d like a bit more of her. Good head planes with lovely dark, well placed eyes. Clean, well filled foreface. Well set and tipped ears and used to her advantage. Well laid shoulder and good front. Markings give her the impression of having a shorter neck but it is correct and nicely arched. Level topline, strong loin. Well let down hocks and neat, well padded feet. Good front and well muscled hind quarters. Covers the ground with ease. Very pleasing to look at. A quality bitch.
