Breed: Ibizan Hound
Ibizan Hound A Breed that really appeals for the elegance they have; I appreciated those that entered and waited so long for their classes. Puppy Dog (2) 1. Carter’s L-Wynd Where The Shadow Ends (Imp Usa) red/white refined and elegant young man, lean back skull, large ears, erect & pointed, almond shaped eyes of good colour, muzzle of equal length, good jaw with scissor bite, straight front & very good flattish ribcage of the right depth, nicely arched toes, good length to second thigh, has a nice action moving around, tends to hold his tail a little gaily at times BD 2. Vescan’s Peacemaker Apache Baltas Vejas (Imp Ltu) chestnut/white, another lovely male & impressive in balanced outline, elegant & masculinity combined, super head & ear set, length to his arched neck, needs to tighten in his front action but in profile has a definite eye-catching movement which does extend well with that slight hover desired, well handled & with luck should have a bright future. Res.BD Junior Dog (1) 1. Carter’s L-Wynd Where The Shadow Ends (Imp Usa) – see above class Open Dog (1) 1. Carter’s Ch Nevaeh's Radical Dude (Imp Usa) lovely type red/white, has a super balance to his head, good expression, straight front, ribs good & depth just right, is nicely toned & quarters were good, just wish he didn’t drop those ears so much, moved out well. Veteran Bitch (1) 1. Carter’s Ch Afilador Room On The Broom ShCM ShCEx VW super red/white displaying well the breed type & required standard; at 9 years old absolutely excelled on the move, was a credit to her owner. Best Veteran Open Bitch (2) 1. Vescan’s Gorgona De Entresaltos (Imp Esp) completely new to me nearly all white with a hint of red, most lovely lean balanced head, eye & expression, large erect ears that enhanced the line of her neck, erect and straight front, good arched toes, lovely coupling, nice ribcage & well defined waist, strong loin, good strong quarters with just a hint of angulation, well set low tail of good length held nicely on the move; excelled with her super gait she was sound & had the desired far reaching stride with slight hover, a lovely exhibit well handled. BB & BOB 2. Nicholls Sunset Breeze (Imp Esp) wire-haired white with red patches, she had an elegant head of good balance, ears were slightly smaller than preferred, straight front, flat ribs, the right depth but for me her loin was just a bit too thin, her croup had a gentle slight slope & low set tail, quarters just slightly angled, hocks were straight but could have been firmer, her movement was sound enough but to me she didn’t have the athleticism required of this breed.
