Bath Utility Group

My thanks to the officers and committee for their invitation to judge the Utility Group at their show. As usual the ground was in perfect order, surely there is no better outdoor venue in the UK. The day ran smoothly, and the group started on time.

I though that this was quite a good group with plenty of choice for me and a very pleasing shortlist which included:

Boston Terrier, Multi Ch Primo Cavaliere Goffredo at Havance (Imp Ita) Multi Jch (Mrs S & Mr P & Ms L Quick & Quick & Carta)

Square in his proportions and he moved v well. Has a well proportioned head with super eye and expression. Well laid shoulder and sufficient hind angulation.

Dalmatian, Ch Dvojica Evangelista at Joubello JW (Mrs J Hopkin). Strong and still feminine.Lookes like she could do her job. Excels in profile movement.

Eurasier, Kaydanmy Fuel to The Fire (Miss K & Miss M Parkinson & Dunhill-Hall). Really good young d who is such a good mover. Lovely temperament. Liked his proportions. I v good coat.

French Bulldog, Al Capone of The Royal Fijw-24 (Mrs M Persson), ideal proportions. Really liked his head and a lovely expression. Moved so v well and no sign of any breathing issues.

My winner was the Min Schnauzer, 573 - Ch Glockens Let It Be JW, Breed: Miniature Schnauzer (Miss W J & Mrs L Bell & Burns)

Thought he was so very good in breed type. Perfect outline with a hard and sloping topline. Big ribs, forechest. Well made front and rear and so a v good mover. All topped with a wonderful jacket.

Runner up, and v close it was , was the T Spaniel, Ch Xaramae Image (Imp Fin), Breed: Tibetan Spaniel (Mr A & Mr L Moran & Prouve). I think his proportions are excellent, just enough leg, not too long and carrying plenty of coat. He is such a good mover and is so v full of attitude.

3rd was the lovely Bulldog, Fat Puppys Top Racer, Breed: Bulldog (Mr J & Mrs A Rey & Ribas). Such a good outline, entirely typical on the moved. Food size head and a wonderful expression.

4th was the Kooikerhondje, Ch Valleyrise Illustration, Breed: Kooikerhondje (Miss C Johnson0 just felt a very correct example of this breed. Excellent proportions, good head. Moved so v well and in excellent coat.
