Dachshund Wire – I was shocked to find some not-ideal mouths.

VD 1. Ch Royal Pepper's Vice Versa (Imp Fin) (Mrs V Phillips) - This young man was in super condition, which showed well on the move. He had a typical hound head, conical in shape with almond eyes and good furnishings. Pleasing length of neck into appropriate shoulders, ample bone to tight feet well well-sprung ribs reaching well back. Strong muscular loin and a super round rump. He powered around the ring, which earned him BV. 2. Ch Silvae Klansman (Ms C A Norman) - This boy did not have the substance of one. Masculine head with intelligent expression, enough neck into topline with clean loin. He had enough ground clearance to enable him to work, although he could be a little more positive on the move.

MPD 1. Kasalane Pietersite (Mrs K Wills) – This young man was only just 6months old and learning his trade, very raw at the moment and loose on the move. He has ample bone to develop the required muscles. Work in progress.

PD. 1. Atahira Finale (Mrs C Davies) – This young boy caught my eye. He has a good, harsh coat with accompanying furnishings. Excellent length of neck, good shoulders, equal length of upper arm, ribbing reaching well back, sound hind angulation. He reached out and drove from behind, covering the ground with ease. To finish the picture, he had a harsh coat. I thought he was outstanding CC BPD BD 2. Tendrow Down to The Wire (Mrs C Akehurst) – Lovely youngster with lots going for him, excellent bite with a good length of neck and firm topline and muscular loin, ample round rump and good length of tail. 3. Tendrow Will to Succeed (Mrs V Phillips)

JrD 1. Covellyn’s Cecil at Silvae (Imp Che) (Mr D C & Mrs K D McCalmont) – 11 months, his head was masculine with almond eyes, dark and alert, his bite was correct and finished the whole head with well-manicured eyebrows and beard. Length of neck with slight arch running into topline, which was strong and muscular. 2. Tendrow Rubens Hagrid (Mrs V Phillips) – Masculine head with a good expression from intelligent almond eyes. He had a lovely forechest with a strong keel and nicely sprung ribs. These two with change places often as they develop.

YrD 1. Boloria Goodnight Mr Tom JW (Miss R Rowe) – A pleasing youngster at a young age, he will strengthen up on the move. He gave a good overall shape with sufficient forechest and length to ribs. 2. Lallybrook Royale Jester (Mrs M M Mountford) – B/T, who was a very smart dog on the stand. Masculine and well-furnished, his topline was firm with muscular loin. For me, a ta over angulated, making him less positive on the move.

PgD 1. Feldhund Moonlight JW (Mrs A J & Mr A Beagrie) – I liked this boy’s make and shape with a masculine head and intelligent expression, correct bite. Well-filled chest and prominent sternum. Clean underline and suitably angulated hind. He carried his tail well on the move. 2. Knottsrose Olaf (Mrs L Sanders) – Good head and expression, lengthy neck, balanced front and rear angulation. Moved out with reach and drive in profile.

Hind angulation allowed him to drive around the ring RCC 2. Calicoe Just Me (Mrs Apps) – Red boy with not the bone and substance of one. Masculine head with lively expression. Good depth of ribs, although not the chest, I would like more strength in loin. 3. Incordemeo Beetle About (Mrs M M Mountford)

OD 1. Ch Sunsong Dare to Dream (Mrs S Seath) – This young man was the sire of my best dog, and he’s passed on some important attributes. Appealing head and expression, correct mouth, nicely laid shoulders, and good ground clearance. His hindquarters gave good angles with short hocks. 2. PB 1. Silvae Fan The Flames (Mr D C & Mrs K D McCalmont) – this young lady had a super forechest and depth of ribbing. Her shoulders were well laid, and her hindquarters had strength. On the move, she had ample ground clearance and a positive, purposeful reach and drive. 2. Olive Decasa Toma at Valcor (P D & W P Cotterell) – This red wild boar girl was taking time to settle and was unsure of the proceedings. She had a typical hound head and a good length of ears. Ample forechest and length of ribbing. On the move, she was loose and just needed a little time to firm up. Work in progress.

JrB 1. Boloria Oh Darling (Misses R & R Howlett & Rowe) – at 13months this young lady has a bright future ahead. I loved her size and balance. She had a feminine head and correct bite, a super forechest with ample depth of ribbing extending well back, her loin was strong and muscular, and a firm topline. She moved with confidence and a driving stride. 2. Derdledash Skyfall at Dakotadax JW (Miss A Dickinson) – She came up against strong competition today. Feminine head and gentle expression. She could use a tad more length in her neck. A lovely forechest and a clean underline on the move, she did not disappoint with a powerful driving action. 3.
