Darlington Dog Show Society Ltd

Breed: Sloughi

Darlington Dog Show Society held at Ripon Racecourse. Friday 12th September 2025

Always lovely camping at this show and so much on offer to everyone, Dog walks around the course, along the canal paths. Also, Ripon is a lovely town with lots of history and traditional markets in the square. The weather was kind to us, and the ground was good to firm. Finishing the day, we had some beautiful sunsets.

PG (3) – 1. Al'karim Origen Charm at Longhedge (Imp Svk) (Mr M & Mr R B Atkinson & Godfrey), this boy was elegant and square with fine skin and an air of reserved aloofness. His masculine head was long and refined, with a flat skull that was fairly broad. His large oval eyes gave an expression of dignity and slightly haughty look. His shoulder blades were long with a flat bone and long straight legs finishing with a spring, at pasterns and oval feet. His chest had some breadth with a good sternum, his ribs finished above his elbows, and took-up was defined and clean. His moderately angled hind legs were powerful and balanced with his fore legs. He was free and sound on the move. BD BoB 2. Atiqah Origen Charm of Thiefside (Imp Svk) (Mrs K Clark), Ultra feminine bitch quiet and reserved, expressive eyes with the blackest of pigmentation, almost looked painted, her neck was strong, of moderate length, she is so well balanced both standing and moving. Her ribs had sufficient spring to them, and her took-up was clean; she has strength yet flexible. Without effort, her gait was free, her head carriage was one of elegance and dignity. BB. 3. Al Sadik Origen Charm Glencathra (Imp Svk). I later found these 3 were littermates.

OD. (2) 1. Xandu Khan Esch Schams (Woodgate, Boggia, De-Souza) A mature boy 7yrs + Light sand colour. His head was long and refined with a flat skull and pronounced occiput. His neck had sufficient length and carried his head at a good height on the move; his chest and sternum was ample with depth to his ribs to just above his elbows. His took-up was not as defined. He moved out on strong oval feet freely. RBD 2. Gwasila Nuri Al Baida at Longhedge (Imp Deu) (Mr M & Mr R B Atkinson & Godfrey), I felt this boy was maybe a little taller than long, making him not quite square. His forelegs tended to curve inwards, although his chest was sufficiently filled, his ribs had a slight spring to them, and a better took-up.

OB (2-1) 1. Ir Ch Aabidah De Polvo Magico Cw24 Cjw24 (Imp) (Carter) I have done this young lady well before, and she still pleases me greatly. She is so feminine and full of naughtiness, or should that be haughtiness. She gives a lovely, balanced outline of elegance and dignity. Her oval-shaped eyes with the blackest of pigmentation and black lips. Her flat skull is almost equal to the length of her muzzle and strong elegant neck into her shoulders, she has long flat boned legs nicely filled chest with depth to just above her elbows and defined took-up. She has ample width to her pin bones and her tail follows her spine. She moved out with an even and effortless gait with no exaggerations. A close call RB
