Thank you to the committee of Three Counties Championship Show and to my two lovely stewards who kept things moving along so efficiently. I enjoyed judging this interesting entry and was delighted with the quality and free movement of my top winners. I was disappointed in the soft condition of quite a few exhibits which resulted in less than ideal movement (and cost some otherwise very good dogs higher placings). As always presentation was a mixed bag with some dogs carrying far too much coat and some showing the signs of blades/over scissoring. On the plus side, temperaments were excellent overall with many happy, wagging tails and I only saw one or two slightly dubious bites.

Very Cockery b/w ticked boy with a beautifully chiselled head and sweet expression, strong bone, short sturdy body with big ribs, sound and happy on the move, very well presented. Just preferred the front angulation and topline of 1.

Well-constructed dark b/r, lovely substance overall with strong bone and big ribs, good neck and shoulders and well-muscled quarters which he used well on the move, strode out freely keeping a good topline. Close decision between 1 & 2 but just preferred the more refined head of 1
