My thanks to the committee for the invitation & their hospitality, to my efficient ring stewards Sharon & Ann but most importantly to the exhibitors for allowing me the pleasure of judging their dogs. Front movement, feet & toplines were often disappointing.

MPD (1,0)

1ST Winrow’s Whiskyagogo Big Smile at Jayneze Well grown pup 8 months old, smartly marked. Square in outline, tends to spoil his topline when stacked. Head is almost square with width & depth to muzzle, dark eyes, ears well placed & need to strengthen. Straight front, feet could be tighter, chest developing well. Tail is low set, moderate rear angulation. He needs time to come together on the move.

 PD (2,0)

1ST McCallum & Laing’s Burlesk Varlove Billy Whizz Bang NAF 10 months old & still has plenty of maturing to do. Not classically marked and pigment could be better. He has a pleasing head shape with dark eyes & well placed & used ears. Chest still developing. Enough neck, straight in front to small feet & level topline to low set tail. Moderate rear angulation. He needs to tighten in movement which I am sure will come with maturity. BPD

2ND Rodaway’s Demorace Atmospheric More mature than 1st & balanced in outline. Very well presented in brindle coat. Attractive head & expression, round dark eyes, ears well used, level topline, tail low set, chest developing. Straight front with strong pasterns. Moderate hind angulation. A shade close in rear movement today.

JD (2,0)

1ST Mair’s Ever Single Verlaine The Poet at Glenauld Smaller type brindle with a balanced outline. Attractive masculine expression from dark eyes & well set ears, abrupt stop, muzzle has depth & width. Well angulated front & rear, deep chest, short back with strong topline, low set tail. Well muscled hindquarters with enough width of thigh. Neat feet. Moved well holding his topline.

2ND Wildman & Davis’ Canmoy's Boston Coco Pops at Wildax Rowendale (Imp Fin) Well grown, shown in muscular condition, plenty of bone & all male. Flat skull with ears set on corners & well used, wide muzzle, eyes are dark. Appealing masculine expression. Arched neck. straight in front, shoulders well laid, level topline to low set tail, strong rear quarters. At one with his handler, I preferred the front movement of 1st

 PGD (2,0)

1ST Bundy’s Dalenamag King of Clubs Mature in body at 2 years old with attractive markings, he has a shapely outline. Square head with dark eyes, well set ears that he uses & abrupt stop. Muzzle has both depth & width with dark pigment. Straight front with level topline & low set tail. He moved out well although front action could be stronger.

2ND Sambrook’s Ringablok King of Stars This boy has plenty of bone & is all male, presented in brindle coat with correct markings. Square head with depth & width to muzzle, ears are well set & used, I would prefer them a touch smaller. Front was straight, neat feet, topline let him down. Tail low set. Movement could improve all round.

LD (4,2)

1ST Harkin’s Kiarzo Side by Side JW Masculine head with dark eyes, flat skull & ears set correctly, abrupt stop, deep & wide muzzle giving a typical expression. Arched neck to straight front with tight feet, deep chest, level topline to curved rump. Rearquarters are moderately angulated with enough width of thigh. Presented in lovely coat & condition. Not settled at all today , did enough to win the class.

2ND Rostron-Parker’s Rosparquier's Late Edition This dog also has an appealing masculine head, I preferred the eye of 1st. Straight front, well laid shoulders, topline could be stronger, low set tail. Enough rear angulation. Moved at one with his handler, not as positive in front as winner.

OD (6,0)

1ST Quick & Carta’s Multi Ch Primo Cavaliere Goffredo at Havance (Imp Ita) Smaller type & very balanced, well marked, he appeals for type. Head is square with abrupt brow & flat on top, wide & deep muzzle. Dark round eyes, small well set & used ears, typical expression. Slight arch to neck, straight front although pasterns could be a touch firmer, deep chest, short level back with curve to rump & low set tail. Enough cut up. Moderate rear angulation & well muscled, at times he overstretches when stacked. Out moved the competition today to win DCC & BOB. Delighted that he was shortlisted in the group.

2ND Keenan’s Ch Chelmbull Return of The Mac at Nerros A very attractive dog, beautifully marked & presented, looks a picture stacked. So masculine in head, with correct muzzle proportions & abrupt stop. Dark eyes & well used ears. Arched neck, well laid shoulders. Tight feet. Level topline to low set tail, correct rear angulations with wide enough thigh. Not quite the movement of 1st RCC

3RD Bennett’s Ch Wildax Liverpool Lad at Boxbos

VD (1,0)

1ST Harrison & Stoner’s Ch Eairycor Celtic Manxspirit One I have judged previously, still in lovely condition at 8 years old & a credit to his owner. Balanced square outline with level topline & curved rump to low set tail. Appealing head & expression with dark eyes that could be a touch rounder, so attentive to handler, his ears are used at all times. Moves well, he could be stronger in front. He is the ultimate showman & I was pleased to award him BV

 MPB (3,0)

1ST Owen’s Canmoy's Boston April Fool with Sirfon NAF TAF Smaller type brindle with appealing square outline. As yet very immature in head & I would prefer more width to muzzle. Ears are well set & used, dark eyes. Arched neck, shoulders are laid back, straight front, pasterns need to strengthen, tidy feet. Chest developing well. Level topline to low set tail. Moved with purpose for one so young. Pleased to award her BP, she was shortlisted in the Puppy Group.

2ND Rankin & Hickin Wildax Liver Bird Another promising puppy not quite as mature as 1st nor as square in outline. Head is square, eyes dark enough, ears correctly set on flat skull. Slight arch to neck, level topline with slight curve to tail, front could improve, neat feet. Well angulated rearquarters. Not quite as collected on the move as 1st.

3RD Perry’s Wildax Voodoo Queen

PB (7,0)

1ST Batey’s Bronheim Maiden Issue Smart brindle, well marked. Square head with feminine expression, dark round eyes. Deep, wide muzzle with enough stop. Flat skull with ears correctly set. Arched neck to well laid shoulders, tends to turn front feet out, level topline & tail low set. Rearquarters are muscled & she has width of thigh. Shapely outline when stacked, touch unsettled in front action.

2ND Rodaway’s Demorace Born Free Attractive brindle 10 months old & mature for her age. Square outline. Her head is appealing with dark eyes & well set ears, muzzle is deep & wide. Moderate neck, correctly angulated front & rear, level topline. Feet could be better. I would prefer more width of thigh. Sound on the move.

3RD Gill & Hamlin’s Demorace Belle Starr at Simberfour

JB (3,1)

1ST Wildman & Davis’ Wildax Rowendale Krispy Kreme Ultra smart square bitch, well marked & presented in lovely condition. Head is square with a feminine expression from her dark eyes & well placed ears, deep & wide muzzle. Deep stop. Enough neck into well laid shoulders, deep chest, level topline rounding off to tail. Muscled rearquarters with enough width of thigh. Let her down by her front action today.

2ND Collin & Spenser’s Wildax Sophistication Another youngster with appealing head & expression, muzzle has depth & width, dark eyes & correct ears. Front is straight, feet could be tighter, longer cast than 1st, I would prefer less rear angulation. Rear has width of thigh & is well muscled. Topline is level to low set tail. An easy mover, needs to tighten in front.

PGB (2,1)

1ST Cox’s Durobrivae Bumble Bea 17 months old & still has some maturing to do. Head is feminine & square with a wide, deep muzzle, dark eyes & she uses her well set ears. Moderate angulation front & rear, pasterns could be stronger. Neat feet. Enough neck, level topline, slightly long in loin, low set tail. Moved easily but without enthusiasm.

LB (6,1)

1st Batey’s Vickvally Leela James at Bronheim Appeals for type & balanced outline. Feminine expression, head is square with depth & width to muzzle. Round eyes are dark, ears set on corner of skull & well used. I would prefer slightly more neck. Shoulders are laid back, elbows tight, topline level, curved rump to low set tail. Thighs are wide & well muscled. Presented in excellent condition, easy mover, she could tighten in front action.

2ND Bamford’s Windust Shining Light Square in outline & well presented. She has a feminine expression, round eyes that show a little white, broad & deep muzzle. Ears could be a touch smaller, they are correctly placed on her flat skull & well used. moderately angulated front & rear, she has width of thigh & muscled hindquarters. Straight front with strong pasterns. Moved out well.

Enough neck, level topline with slight curve to low set tail. Moderate angulation front & rear, strong pasterns, small feet. Not quite as compact in outline as 1st.
