Eastern Counties Rottweiler Club Open Show 3rd August 2025

Thank you to the 0fficials and Committee of the ECRC for their kind invitation to judge at this Rottweiler Club that holds many personal memories.

Thanks also go to my Ring Stewards & all the Exhibitors that entered their dogs.

All entrants had exceptional temperaments.

DOGS

Veteran Dog

1. Velcheva-Bozhkova Apocalypto Ambassador Just 8 years old and starting to show his years. Pleasing head with dark eye and good ear set. Body proportions good with nice feet and correct tail carriage. Moved well for age.

Minor Puppy Dog 

1.Moss Chantavory,'s Wonder Boy A well grown boy of 8mths, there's no doubting this boy's masculinity. Excellent head with dark eye of correct shape Ears of good shape and size carried well. Strong neck into a level backline . Good underline and good angles . Standing on good feet.Slight wave to coat. Excellent tail carried correctly on the move.

Puppy Dog

1 Denver-Smith Javladare Mr Bombastic. Happy Birthday 12 months today. Happy boy with lots to like . Excellent masculine head of correct proportions. Dark eye giving kind calm expression. Ears if good size and shape carried well. Correct bite but would prefer darker pigmentation. He is well balanced in body with ample bone. Correct proportions.

Moved and presented well. BPIS

2. Fell Taneven Dutch 9 months old male presenting a very clean outline. Masculine head of good breed type with correct ear and ear. Good bite. Good body proportions with moderate angles. Sabre tail. Moved soundly but unsettled.

Yearling Dog 

1. Kitchenside Deltarot Din Djarin JW Honest dog of 20 mths with excellent breed type.

Masculine head of correct proportions . Eye & Ear of correct size and shape. Calm expression. Strong neck into level topline. Fore chest developing well. Ample bone. Moved out well.

2. Smith Jaegerot Mr Marvellous Another nice boy. 21 mths. A smaller type than winner with many breed attributes. Breed specific head Good bite but pigmentation could be better. Compact body shape that is very clean over withers. Moved well.

1. Courtney -Bourne Jhava Black Magic Over Whisperdown. Substantial male of 2 years giving an overall impression of strength and power. Masculine head with broad skull .Eye of good colour and shape Well carried ears. Good bite . Conformation excellent in profile. Body ratio excellent Standing on tight feet.

Limit Dog

1. Moss Chantavory 's One and Only 3 yr old mature male with much to like . Masculine head with good width of skull and correct muzzle Dark almond eye and well placed ears of correct size. Scissor bite with correct mouth pigmentation. Substantial boy with ample bone. Strong neck into level backline and good tail set. Overall proportions present a well balanced profile. Moved well covering ground with ease. BIS

2. Abell Nageem Cukier Another dog of excellent breed type possessing many fabulous attributes. Strong masculine head with correct dark eye giving a calm expression. Strong neck free from throatiness into a well proportioned body with moderate angles. Correct tail. Moved well . Unfortunate to meet the winner today .

Open Dog

1. Cartwright Steigan Rupaul Charles., I have seen the 5 year old male from ringside and to be fair thought he was not my preference. I was so wrong. He is a smaller type of male and has matured into a male of excellent breed type. Excellent head properties with rich mahogany markings . The darkest eye and close fitting ears. Well balanced in profile with ample bone in relation to size. Dominated this class with his free flowing movement showing reach and drive.

2, Egerton & Sutcliffe Bereyda The Real Defender JW Completely different type to the winner. A substantial male with a strong head. Good in profile standing on good feet . Moved well. Preferred the cleaner picture presented by winner

3. Trevett Von Kassel Maverick Sarkay.

Veteran Bitch 

1. Gibbard & Watts CH Jezeve Back to Black JW Young lady of nine and half years. In excellent body condition. Strong yet feminine head with correct eye/ear. Lovely expression.

Excellent bone . Ample fore chest with pleasing body proportions. Correct tail carried well.. Moved steadily with purpose 

2. Harwood Wolfbass Mumma Cita at Kimian

Seven and half year old Feminine head with broad skull Dark eye giving calm expression. Ears of correct size slightly high set. Strong neck into a slightly upright shoulder restricting her reach and drive on the move.

Body ratio correct Standing on good feet . Moved soundly.

3. Velcheva-Bozhkova Arka VonTishevita 

Minor Puppy Bitch

1. Jackson & Rogerson Taneven Delta Well grown female of 8 and half months . Lovely feminine head of excellent breed type. Darkest of eyes giving a tranquil gaze. Well placed ears of correct size and shape. Excellent dentition. Strong neck into a level backline , good croup and tail carriage. Moved soundly.

2. Velcheva-Bozhkova Rominjay's Million Reasons at Apocalypto Only just 6mths and her first time in the Show ring. As expected she needs time to come together but there is much promise. Feminine head with pleasing expression. Good eye of correct size and shape . Well placed ears but a tad heavy at the moment.but I am sure this will rectify as her head matures. Correct dentition.Good body proportions with an excellent front and moderate angles. Movement very loose as such a baby.

Puppy Bitch

1. Jackson & Rogerson Taneven Dixie. Litter sister to MPB winner. Similar comments apply. She is of excellent breed type. In the challenge for Best Puppy bitch she was my winner as I saw more reach and drive as she moved around the ring. A very promising litter and the breeders should be very pleased with the outcome of this mating.

Junior Bitch

1. Brereton & McDonald's Xeli Von Bel Mondo Via Heidivan Portnadoran 14 months feminine girl with eyes of correct size and shape giving the sweetest expression. Correct dentition with dark mouth pigmentation. Strong neck flowing into level backline. Would prefer more width of thigh but she is still very young so will hopefully develop as she matures. Moved soundly.

2. Hopgood Saintlythans Hapi 15 mths old bitch of larger build. She has many pleasing qualities but preferred the proportions of the winner.. Excellent breed type with feminine head . Good eye and ear set. Ample bone. Standing on good feet. Moved well.

Yearling Bitch

1.Eyre Chantavorys Cupid Female of 22 months who is maturing nicely. Head of good breed type showing strength and femininity. Dark eye of correct size and shape. Well placed ears. Mouth correct. Good front with well developed forechest. Overall proportions pleasing.Standing on good feet. Would prefer a less tight tail. Moved well over rough ground.

Post Graduate 

1. Gibbard & Watts Jezeve Hot Tottie 2 year old quality bitch with good breed type. Attractive head of correct proportions retaining femininity Dark eye. Well placed ears. Good dentition .Firm top-line and good underline giving a pleasing outline in profile. Correct tail-set. Her first place was secured by her effortless movement.

2. Borne Starrosa Dance with Me at Trevearl

Almost 3 yrs female with plenty of substance yet retaining her femininity, Strong head with broad skull and dark, eyes. Correct dentition Ears well-set of correct size and shape. Good fore-chest, Strong neck leading into level topline Ample depth of chest and spring of rib. . Angulation moderate. Standing on good feet. Moved soundly.

 Mature powerful, compact bitch of 3 years. On first impression she presents a picture of lovely clean lines. Strong head with broad skull but retains femininity Eyes dark but slightly round. Nicely placed ears of correct size and shape. Correct bite. Strong neck, clean over the shoulders leading into a level backline. Body ratios correct giving well balanced profile. Good tight feet. Sabre tail. Moved out well. Best Bitch.

Different type of bitch but with lots to like. Unfortunate to meet the winner today. Excellent head of good breed type with dark eye and well placed ears. Well proportioned with good reach of neck. Firm topline and good underline giving pleasing profile on the stand. Tight feet. Moved well.
