I would like to thank the committee of Blackpool for inviting me to judge at this very successful show, I had good entries in the breeds I was judging and two of my Best of Breeds where well placed in their respective groups The Newfoundland being first in the working group and the Norwich Terrier placing second in the Terrier Group. I wish I had got the name of my steward because after many years of showing, judging and stewarding myself, I have no hesitation in saying that she is the best steward I have ever come across and she saved my life on the day!

1. Mrs C Fosters Fostebrie Black Thunder.

A 10 month black showing excellent breed type, being substantial throughout, strong in head and muzzle, dark eyes, correct bite, neck well set on, well angulated in his front and rear quarters, deep chest and ribs carried well back, he moved with drive and purpose, a very promising young dog, and pleased to ward him, Best Puppy in Breed.

2. Mrs & Mrs T Westcott-Smith & Smith’s Urban legend Dilorini At Rozimba (IMP POL).

A 6 month old fawn, lively and full of quality, I am sure he will go on and develop into a formidable dog, not as mature as the first placed puppy but I am sure he has a very bright future ahead. Lovely head and a strong muzzle, correct bite, long strong neck, well laid shoulders and a deep chest. Level back and nicely angulated rear quarters, he moved with a powerful stride and was sound and true.

OD(1)

1st. Mrs N Rual Keogh’s CH Gilcoru Wolfblass D’brie.
