Irish Terriers

Puppy Dog 1. Saredon Runaway. Eleven month old male. Very promising. Pleasing head of good length and correct breadth. Clean in back skull. Nicely chiselled with very good dark eye. Neat ears of good size. Clean through the neck with well-placed shoulders. Good length of leg and good, neat foot. Well let down for his age. Of sufficient length. Good tail set and moved well. In excellent jacket and lovely harsh leg furnishings. I think this young male will do well. RBD. 2. Newguild Royale. Another smart youngster with promise and a real racy Irish. Pleasing head of decent length without loss of strength. Neat ears although not using so well today. Keen eye. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders. Good front. Needs to strengthen in topline. Super hind quarters which are well muscled at his age. Good coat and well put down.

PG Dog 1. Newguild Royale. Second in Puppy. 2. Apispolb Fleet Street. Nice sized male who scored in his size and overall shape. Good head and eye. To be critical he could have more lift to his ears to complete his expression. Good neck and shoulder. Enough bone and neat feet. Would prefer him a fraction shorter in loin. Good hind quarters. In good jacket. Moved well and was well handled.

Open Dog 1. Montelle Flash Light to Lionwood. I liked this smart dog who appealed with his masculinity, overall size and shape. I have seen him before awarding him a puppy stakes day heat at WKC and a previous RBD. I still like him with maturity. Good head with lovely small dark eye and good ear placement. Pleased through the neck and shoulder and has a very typical front. Correctly sprung rib of decent depth. Strong loin. Good hind quarters and plenty behind the tail. In excellent jacket which was well prepared and of correct texture. Moved well excelling in his front movement. BOB. 2. Rufous Gubbeen of Cleeve. Another of good overall type. Scored over the third placed dog on his overall shape and balance. Well-made throughout but preferred the overall quality of the headpiece and ears on 1. Moved well. 3. Apispolb Solstice Druid

Puppy Bitch 1. iddrua The Temptress. This is a very nice young bitch. I thought her to be quality through. Very attractive head which is feminine but not lacking in any strength and of pleasing overall length. I would like a fraction more lift to her ears and for her to use them a little more. Good front. Nice length of neck and good shoulders. Correct topline and tail set. Not overdone behind. Moved well.

PG Bitch 1. Eata The Great with Brazan. Another I have seen before. Quality bitch who was RBB under me as a puppy. Lighter coloured, she is of good size for a bitch and her overall shape is ideal being not overdone anywhere. Good length of head with correct head proportions she is very much an Irish. Clean back skull with no cheekiness and decent ears which are well set and are of good size. Excels in her front assembly. Good depth of chest. Correct rib. Nice topline. Well angulated behind and in super hard condition. She just lacked a little animation on the move today. 2. Apispolb Standing Stones. Nice for size. Pleasing head although preferred the overall keenness in expression of 1. Good neck and well-placed shoulders. Good bone for a bitch and neat feet. Ok topline although would like a better tail set. Moved ok.

Open Bitch A lovely class in a non-CC appointment headed by two quality yet different bitches. Ch Norakim Tango of Newguild. In no way is this a flashy girl at all. However, on closer inspection she is of such good type. Super feminine head. Good eye and ears. Throughout there is little in her construction that I would change, and she is in the best of jackets. Moved so soundly, is foot perfect. A good old fashioned Irish bitch. Doesn’t always help her handler and a fraction less coat on her neck might help her advantageously. 2. Jpn Ch High-Cross Jp Miu Saredon. Super bitch who has the most exquisite head and expression. I could look at her head all day. Such and keen eye and beautiful ear. Well made throughout with little to fault and in the best of coats and her handler clearly is the master of flat work. Today I felt she was carrying a fraction too much weight and this accentuated that she is a fraction less racy than Tango. Watched her win the CC at the other show later in the day and I concur that she should carry her title. 3. Kenynten Chasing Rainbows at Apispolb
