Scottish Kennel Club

Breed: Spaniel (Clumber)

SKC – 15th of May 2025 – CLUMBER SPANIEL

I would like to congratulate the hardworking committee of the Scottish Kennel Club for such an expertly run and organized show. I really enjoyed my assignment and judging the Gundog breeds in the UK is the greatest of honour for an overseas judge. It was a sheer pleasure going over many beautiful dogs and I was delighted with my winners. A big thank goes to the exhibitors for entering their lovely dogs under me and sportingly accepting my decisions. My two ring stewards did a great job during the day and kept me going.

I was highly concerned as a young male went and for my hand and when I went over him and my hand was scratched. He was subsequently reported to the committee for further action at the RKC as one should. This is something that is never accepted in any breed and certainly not in a Gundog.
