Many thanks to the committee of The Welsh Kennel Club for inviting me to judge. My excellent ring stewards kept the ring flowing well.

Although the cooling breeze was very welcome on this hot weekend, being in an end ring made its strength at times affect some of the exhibits adversely in their presentation.

13 months old orange sable male of correct size shown in very good coat and condition. Ears could be a little neater and better placed. Lovely dark eyes but could be better shaped. Good head proportions. Stands correct front and rear. Took a little patience to get him moving, but did cover the ground well.

2 years old paler brown male with a slightly light eye. Good body proportions. Slightly steep shoulder and upper arm with good hind angles. Moved correct away and towards. In sidegait moved from the elbow.

2 year old cream with lovely proportioned head and well set ears. Good pigment and lively expression. Correct size. Well proportioned in body. Shown in full coat and glowing condition. Very good lay of shoulder with long upper arm which could be a shade better angled. Moved well away and towards with excellent powerful far reaching coordinated sidegait. Well handled.

I was pleased to award him the Dog CC and BOB and was delighted to see that he gained 3rd place in the group.

8 year old brown female of good pigment and correct size. Well proportioned feminine head with sweet expression. Slightly stretched body proportions. Rather steep shoulder and upper arm. Moved correct away and towards. Her sidegait was fluid and well coordinated, but could show better reach.

1st: BECK, Miss Tina Rosco's Breeze BPIB

10 month old cream sable bitch losing her coat and at that ‘raw’ stage in life. Head could be more typical. A bit unsettled on the table and at times rather overawed. Matched angles front and rear, with good proportions. Was leaning into the lead when moving away, but movement was parallel. Began to settle more when moving towards. Happily moved around the ring showing a coordinated sidegait. Would benefit from more ring training.

13 months rich cream female of correct size. Shown in good coat. Would prefer a more typical head shape. Very good pigment and ear placement. Needs to come up on her pasterns a touch. Showed good angles front and rear. Moved slightly close away and correct towards with good reaching sidegait.

18 months old cream sable female of correct size. Carrying a little too much weight Well proportioned head, but ears could be higher set and used more to her advantage. Good body proportions and angles. Was a little reserved on the table. Moved correct away and towards, and once going, moved out well.

2nd: MOON, Ms L Hollirox Wishing On A Star

2 years old grey sable female. Large girl. Very correct head but ears could be better placed and a little neater. Lovely pigment. Good shoulder but slightly steep upper arm. On the move, set off initially high stepping, but settled into a good flowing sidegait.

2 years old black female of correct size. Medium bone. Shown in very good coat and glowing condition. Initially appeared to be deep however hands on showed her to have correct body proportions. Good head and expression, with lovely pigment. Moved correct away and towards, with lovely flowing sidegait. Pushed hard for CC.

2nd: PEARCE, Mr G & FRANCIS, Mr D Longsdale's Whole Again

18 months old feminine girl of correct size. Very correct wedge shaped head with lovely expression. Occasionally ears could be more expressive. Slightly upright shoulder and upper arm with very correct hindquarters. Lifted from the elbow in sidegait.

3 years old brown female small, but of correct size. Good bone for size and shown in very good coat and condition. Would prefer a more typical head shape. Well set ears which she used well. Lovely expression. Excellent body proportions with very good angles front and rear. Moved out well away and towards with very good flowing and far reaching sidegait. Very well handled.

2nd: PEARCE, Mr G & FRANCIS, Mr D Ch Longsdale's No More The Fool

3.5 years cream, tall female of super lively character. Shown in very good coat and condition. Would prefer a cleaner eye. Good body proportions. Steep in shoulder and upper arm. Appeared to toe in slightly away and towards. In side gait lifted from the elbow.
