Many thanks to the committee of The Welsh Kennel Club for inviting me to judge. My excellent ring stewards kept the ring flowing well.

Although the cooling breeze was very welcome on this hot weekend, being in an end ring made its strength at times affect some of the exhibits adversely in their presentation.

6.5 months brown male in full puppy coat. On the limit for size and carrying a bit of weight. Good shaped and proportionate head. Very good type with good angles front and rear. Correct away and towards Moved well around the ring, but for me lacked a little enthusiasm.

2nd: FITTON, Ms Maria Shelayne Riotous Revelry

7 months old sable just under the measure. Another carrying some weight. Very correct head type and lively expression. Quite difficult to assess movement as he needs more ring training. Eventually settled into a well coordinated gait.

1st: PEARCE, Mr G & FRANCIS, Mr D Longsdales Look At Me Now Dog CC

17.5 months black male which really caught my eye in this class. Well up to size. Very good head and expression well set eyes and ears, with lovely clean teeth. Good shoulder and upper arm. Hindquarters very well angled. Moved correct away and towards with a very good far reaching flowing sidegait. Shown in excellent condition.

Happy to award him his first CC.

Nearly 13 months old black male with cute white toe markings. Tall. Another very good head and expression. Slightly longer than 1. Moved correct away and towards and moved well around the ring. Coordinated and with good reach.

4 years black male in very good condition. Very good bone throughout. Typical head with beautifully shaped eyes and correct earset. Lively expression. Moved a little close away and at times toed in towards. Could extend more in his sidegait.

2.5 years old cream parti colour male well up to size. Head was well proportioned, but would prefer a better shaped eye and neater ears. Slightly long in body proportions and carrying a little too much weight. Nevertheless showed a very good balanced silhouette in stance. Shoulder of good lay, but upper arm, though long, could be better angled. Well angled hindquarters. Moved correct away and towards with good sidegait. He showed well and was well handled.

6 years old black male with beautiful masculine head and expression. Well shaped eye. Shown in very good condition. Seemed a little deep in chest to body length. Moved correct away and towards. Moved out well with good sidegait. Preferred the attitude of 1.

16 months correct sized female in very good coat and glowing condition. Pretty feminine head with lovely shaped eye and well set ears. Slightly long body proportions. Very well trained looking a picture in stance. Moved out very well.

3 years old cream female of very correct proportions, with good bone and shown in full coat. Beautiful head of lovely proportions. Dark well shaped eye and good pigment throughout. She did not use her ears well in stance, making them appear wide set. Very good angles front and rear which gave her a floating and far reaching gait around the ring, which was a joy to watch. A bitch with exceptional movement and quality throughout. Her excellent type impressed me.

I had great pleasure in awarding her the CC, which I later was delighted to learn was her third and subsequently BOB.

4 year old black female of very good proportions. Expressive correct head with very dark well shaped eyes and neat ears. Good body proportions with correct angles front and rear. Moved correct away and towards with far reaching sidegait.
