Gundog Breeds Association Of Scotland
Gundog Breeds Association Of Scotland 15th November 2025 Retriever (Labrador) Males First of all I want to give my heartfelt gratitude to the committee of the Gundog Breeds Association Of Scotland for inviting me for judging Retriever Labrador Males. It was a well run show with a great atmosphere. Thank you to all exhibitors for entering your lovely dogs under me. It is always an honour and I enjoyed your dogs to the fullest. Congratulations to everyone in the cards and thank you for respecting my placing’s. It was lovely to meet my co- judge Caron Morton who judged Retriever Labrador Females and an absolute pleasure to judge together Best Of Breed, Best Puppy, Best Veteran & Best Special Beginners. It felt lovely and comfortable as we went for the same type and agreed easily on all decisions. I hope everybody came home safely and sound with your lovely dogs. Warm regards and I hope we will meet again in the future. Hans Stigt The Netherlands Class 287 MPD (6 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: 819 POWELL, Miss K Seatallan English Oak. A 6 month old lovely chap in front of me and the first thing I saw was balance, a beautiful outline and a lovely head with the correct length of muzzle. He is a real eye catcher with the right proportions. For his 6 months he is well developed but nothing overdone. Endearing head, nice dark eye with biddable expression. Strong muzzle with good dentition. He has a good clean neck and a lovely strong topline standing and on the move. Correct bone and well developed in body and ribcage. Nice compact and strong feet. Well angulated front and rear. Excellent movement for his age on the slippery floor. Correct black coat texture, has enough otter tail showing the sweetest temperament. I am sure he will develop beautifully in the future. After judging I found out that he was competing against his lovely little sister for best puppy. She showed the same excellent promise as he did, and after some deliberation, splitting hairs with my co-judge we rewarded him with Best Puppy. We wish those two all the best and they have a bright future ahead of them. 2nd: 756 EVANS, Miss Emily & MCKEE, Mr Chris Eastdew Rewrite The Stars With Eminala. Another super puppy. This 6 months old yellow lad was showing his socks off. I was immensely impressed by him, his balance and presence. Masculine head, nice proportions, medium sized eyes with good colour and a lovely expression. Also nothing overdone in this lovely yellow. Correct bite and ear set with a strong muzzle. Excellent reach of neck, which was clean and he had a nice level topline. Good forechest with the correct amount of bone and neat feet. Nicely balanced in front and rear angulations, which provided him with good movement for his age with correct ground coverage. Well developed in ribcage and strong loins, tail well set on. He showed a lovely temperament and his coat was of correct texture with a good otter tail. I foresee a wonderful future for him. Today a second but I am pretty sure many firsts will follow in the future. 3rd: 743 DRUGGAN, Miss K Dylsonleigh Oberon Over Balladoole Class 288 PD (3 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: 728 LUOMANEN, Mrs Kirsi Tweedledum Date Down Under. Clean neck, strong and of good length, excellent shoulders, level strong topline, beautiful barrel shaped ribs, correct bone, super feet, compact and strong. Such a kind dog, showing a sweet temperament, confident and pleasing. Full of admiration and with no doubt in my mind I rewarded him a well deserved Dog CC.
