The Welsh Kennel Club Championship Show 14th August 2025 Jack Russell Terrier A heartfelt thank you to all exhibitors for entering their lovely Jacki’s under me. It was the first of a wonderful four-day show with a great atmosphere and friendly people. Thank you to my experienced and helpful stewards. What would us judges do without them? Much respect and appreciation. Thank you! I had a lovely entry with high quality dogs, which I found had excellent fronts and correct coats. A few tails were curled too much over the back. Excellent movers and lots of great terrier temperaments. I enjoyed it a lot! Veteran Dog (2,0) 1st 1402 Thornley & Smith’s Locheil Stop Right There. Strong, active and lively 7 year old who deserved his first place because of his balance and general appearance, which I really liked. Very nice head with keen expression, dark eyes, and strong muzzle, a bit long but still correct, scissor bite. Correct in forechest and ribcage, easily spanned. Lovely rough coat, correct size and substance. Covered the ground really well with good drive. I loved his real terrier confident temperament. Best Veteran Dog. 2nd 1379 Jenkin’s Twinan Bear Foot On The Beach. Nice veteran dog with a very sweet temperament. Ticked a lot of boxes but could show a bit more real terrier temperament. Nice head, muzzle strong with good scissor bite. Lovely dark eye, almond shaped. Very nice earset, well-carried, nice pigmentation. Level topline, easy to span his correct ribcage. Enough angulation front and rear, which gave him enough ground cover. Excellent rough coat, neat feet, correct tail. Puppy Dog (2,0) 1st 1382 Jones’ Laserna Captain Crash. A 7 months super puppy dog of the highest quality. Such an active, lively little terrier showing a great character. Beautiful head and strong muzzle. Nicely balanced in head and body. Keen expression, nice pigmentation, and correct bite. Nice earset. For his age, excellent forechest, neck and topline. Straight forelegs, very neat feet. Nice rough coat, lovely tailset and carriage. His movement was everything you could wish for. He is definitely going to do well in the future! Super temperament. 2nd 1404 Thornley & Smith’s Tiltser Take It To The Limit. Very nice young boy with excellent type. Correct head with dark eye and good pigmentation. Very sweet temperament. Could show a little more confidence. He has a nice forechest, good spring of ribs. Needs a bit more time to develop a tat more hind angulation. Nice bone and strong round feet. Moves well, topline will improve with age and he has a lovely and very typical rough coat. Junior Dog (3,0) 1st 1374 Horwood’s Pentatty Baga Chipz. A beautiful junior dog with great potential. Full of type and character. He impressed me a lot going around the ring and in front of me. A fraction higher on the leg but very balanced and compact. A very smart mover with unrestricted, well coordinated movement. I loved his head, correct size and strong muzzle, scissor bite. Keen expression, nice dark eye, beautiful ears. Neck and topline strong and level. Well developed in ribcage, which was easy to span. Nice bone and feet. Excellent rough coat. Well angulated. For perfection his tail could be a bit straighter but with such good overall excellent quality he deserved to be rewarded reserve best dog!

2nd 1391 Fricker’s Moorbell Moon And Stars Over Calavey (Imp It). Another lovely youngster who was nice and masculine. Correct in size and proportions with a nice rough coat. Active dog with wonderful overall balance in angulations. Nice forechest, easy to span, correct developed ribcage. Very nice terrier head with a strong muzzle, good bite, keen expression. Excellent rough coated dog, well proportioned in head and body. Lovely flat skull, good stop, correct muzzle and scissor bite. I like his dark eye and sweet expression. Nice pigmentation and correct ears. Good strong neck and level topline. Easy to span. Correct in forechest. Enough angulations. Elbows could be a fraction closer to the body. Moves with enough drive, could do with a bit more spirit. Lovely dog. 2nd 1373 Harris’ Kulawand Wicked Womble. Lovely terrier with super temperament and presence. His expression is fantastic, so keen and expressive. His muzzle could be a bit stronger but he has a nice pigmentation, dark eye, almond shape and lovely very typical earset. Correct neck and level from topline. Easy to span. Correct visible forechest. Nice bone and good feet. Front legs could be a bit straighter which you could see also in his front movement. Correct scissor bite. He could do with a bit stronger muzzle. Lovely strong neck and firm topline. Enough forechest and bone. Lovely strong round feet. Correct ribs, well spannable body. He needs a fraction more hind angulation and with that said a bit more drive from behind on the move. Lovely rough texture coat. 3rd 1401 Thornley & Smith’s Fast Love With Locheil Shcex. He just made my day! 2nd 1381 Jones’ Kaszavolgyi – Furge Milton Laserna Shcex. Also another stunning terrier with a fantastic balance and outline. I was very impressed with this young man. Sturdily built, lots of quality and a great keen expression, focused on his handler. Well proportioned in head and body. Visible forechest, easy to span, correct ribcage, level topline and lovely tailset. Correct bone, elbows close to body, excellent coat and well

Muzzle strong enough for her age with correct bite. Good stop, flat skull, lovely ears and well carried. Good visible forechest and good shoulder, easy to span. Excellent size. Strong in muzzle, correct bite. Keen expression. Has a good eye colour and shape. Nice earset. Correct and well defined stop and very nice pigmentation. Easy to span. I would have liked to see the elbows a bit closer to the ribcage and a bit more hind angulation. Enough developed in ribcage, ribs well sprung. Firm and level topline. Tail carriage on the move could be better. Nice rough coat, lovely white colour with good markings. Moved very freely.

PGB (2,1) 1st 1378 Jenkin’s Blazingjacks Cameron At Surarka. 3 years old lovely feminine bitch, full of type with a very sweet head. Muzzle could be a bit stronger. Correct bite and nice expression. Shows a real terrier presence. Has a good balance with good bone and feet. In a bit “rich” condition at the moment, which you could also see during movement. Correct rough coat and nice tail. Enough angulations. Losing weight would do her good. LB (2,1) 1st 1397 Tate & Nagrecha’s Jaeva Don’t Dilly Dally With Chandlimore. Wow! Super quality bitch. This 20 months old feminine bitch stole my heart. Extremely balanced, lovely bone on her with a beautiful, beautiful rough coat, nicely white with nice markings in head. An expression to die for. Everything you want in a Jack Russell Terrier. Dark eye with an expression, so lovely. The best head of the day for sure. Correct neck and topline. Super well balanced, easy to span, correct in ribcage. No dog is perfect but she comes close, a perfect tail and attitude. Loved, loved, loved her! Smart mover and well deserved Best Bitch. OB (3,2) 1st 1384 Lane’s Kulawand Wicked Waffle. 3 years old feminine terrier with a correct balance and good size and proportions. Nice flat skull, correct stop. Muzzle could be a bit stronger in my opinion. Has a good scissor bite. Lovely expression from a good dark eye. Super neckline, strong but feminine.
