Welsh Kennel Club Whippet Dogs
I want to thank the society for inviting me to judge Whippet dogs which was my third championship show appointment in whippets. I had the best day and I really appreciate all the exhibitors for entering under me. I had to make some very tough decisions on the day and it was very interesting after judging bitches the week before.
Class 427 SBD (4 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 976 LLOYD, Ms J Penwincoed Mr Magoo, pale brindle boy of a nice size. Good head and a pleasing expression with rose shaped ears. Muscular neck into a good lay of shoulder, good fill in front with nice depth of chest. Good arch over line with well bent stifles. Tidy feet, had nice overall balance and moved well from all angles. Won the class on his true movement coming and going.
2nd: 949 GRAHAM, Mrs Fiona Ohoka Tip Top, fawn dog with the most lovely expression, good neck, straight forelegs, neat feet, nice depth of chest with definite tuck up, well let down hocks. Shown in lovely condition.
3rd: 1013 TITT, Mr & Mrs J & S & TITT, Mrs Sadie / Whitesquall Superiore
Class 428 VD (6 Entries) Abs: 0
I loved this class, with such lovely older boys, so full of quality. Thank you for your lovely entries.
1st: 1002 SHEPHERD, Miss S J Ch Citycroft Sundae With Oxana JW Sh.CM ShCEx VW, super fawn and white boy, who I have to say just keeps getting better with age, he really is looking better then ever. He has the most beautiful head and alert expression, good length of neck into well laid shoulders. Slight spring in pasterns, lovely depth of chest, with gentle arch over loin with a good bend in stifle. Loved his overall balance and type, and he moved soundly from all angles. Delighted he went on to BVIB with agreement from my co-judge.
2nd: 898 ALLANSSON, Miss C & MACDONALD, Mr R Jasarat Salted Caramel Of Macalldon JW, fawn and white parti, loved his overall shape. Super head and neck, good lay of shoulder with lovely front construction, good depth of chest, gentle arch of loin, good bend in stifle, well let down hocks. Moved well.
3rd: 995 PRICE, Ms C A Ch Wheelspin Silver Shadow
Class 429 MPD (3 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 935 DOHERTY, Miss J E Silkridge Jingle My Bells, brindle and white boy, pleasing head, rose shaped ears, strong neck, good lay of shoulder, straight forelegs, strong pasterns with slight spring, neat feet. A Well balanced young boy who just needs a little more time to mature who Im sure will have a bright future, moved very soundly. BPD.
2nd: 992 PERKINS, Miss G Zetor Silkridge Figgy Pudding With Zeglynn, litter brother to 1 lots of the same qualities applied, super head and liked his overall shape and type. Well laid shoulders, just felt 1 was a little more together on the day.
Class 430 PD (4 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 996 PRICE, Ms C A Kierpark It's Now Or Never Among Silkdance, pale brindle boy who won the class on his movement today. Nice head and expression, rose shaped ears, long and muscular neck with well laid shoulders, good return of upper arm , slight spring of pastern with neat feet. Very well balanced, with good bend in stifle and well let down hocks. Moved well.
2nd: 978 MALLINSON, Mrs Ellen & MALLINSON, Miss Lucy Edenwhip Oregano,dark brindle, good head, strong neck, straight forelegs with well sprung pasterns. Good depth in chest and fill in front. Gentle arch over loin. Didn’t move as well as 1 today.
3rd: 1012 THOMAS, Mr K J & PRYNNE, Miss S T Swistir Talk Of The Town
Class 431 JD (5 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 958 HOWGATE, Mr M & HULL, Ms Y Palmik Never Too Late JW, fawn dog full of breed type and so well balanced. Such a lovely head and expression, strong neck, well laid shoulders, like his overall front construction, good depth of chest with definite tuck up, gentle arch over loin with well let down hocks. Loved his movement in profile.
2nd: 976 LLOYD, Ms J Penwincoed Mr Magoo, winner of special beginners.
3rd: 996 PRICE, Ms C A Kierpark It's Now Or Never Among Silkdance
Class 432 YD (4 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 999 RODGERS, Mr Gary Wentvalley Pied Piper JW, brindle and white dog of a good size. Good head, nice length of neck with well laid shoulders, straight forelegs with well sprung pasterns. Good depth of chest, liked his overall balance , moved well.
2nd: 1013 TITT, Mr & Mrs J & S & TITT, Mrs Sadie / Whitesquall Superiore, a lovely boy with so many lovely qualities, super head and good front construction, good depth of chest just today he wasn’t on his usual form which unfortunately effected his movement.
3rd: 972 LINDSAY, Ms Vicky Celticmoon Shadow Spell At Silverthyme

2nd: 1007 SPICER, Mrs Dorothy & SPICER, Mr Andrew Jothryn Muchacho brindle boy of a lovely size. Strong neck, good depth of chest and front fill, gentle arch over loin. Neat feet, handled in top condition.
3rd: 996 PRICE, Ms C A Kierpark It's Now Or Never Among Silkdance
Class 434 GD (3 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 980 MIDDLETON, Mr Stuart John & GILHOOLY, Mr Liam Stormida Neon Tiger, brindle and white parti boy of good size and type. Lovely head and expression, rose shaped ears,straight forelegs with well sprung pasterns, good depth of chest with a definite tuck up.Good bend in stifle, moved well from all angles.
2nd: 1000 BOOKER, Mrs Bridget T Longmire Bring Me Sunshine, dark brindle, good head and strong neck. Well balanced front and rear, liked his overall size and outline. Moved well.
3rd: 903 ARKELL, Mrs Yvonne Marie Fantastic Fred At Slingket
Class 435 PGD (4 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 899 ALLANSSON, Miss C & MACDONALD, Mr R Zoraden Simply The Zest Of Macalldon JW, fawn and white boy of super type. He won this class with ease, super head and expression, strong neck with a good lay of shoulder. A really fabulous front construction with lovely return of upper arm, strong pasterns with slight spring. Good depth and tuck up, well bent stifle, well let down hocks into such tidy feet. Moved so soundly from all angles, really liked this boy who was shown in top condition. Considered for top honours today.
2nd: 965 LAWRENCE C & WOODWARD E BRYNTREIA HIGH MAINTENCANCE, fawn and white of a good size and breed type. Lovely head, strong neck into well laid shoulders, good front, lovely depth of chest with a definite tuck up, gentle arch of loin and moved soundly. Would prefer a little more length.
3rd: 989 PERKINS, Miss G Zetor Zeglynn Hello You
Class 436 MdLD (4 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 923 BOWSHER, Mrs Diana Lolani Ride A Wild Trail JW, brindle boy of a good size. Super head and expression, good eye and ear with strong neck. Well laid shoulders with good return of upper arm.Strong well sprung pasterns, good front fill and depth of chest with good tuck up. Good bend in stifles and neat feet. Moved very well today especially coming and going,.
2nd: 991 PERKINS, Miss G Zetor Silkridge Rapture With Zeglynn, dark brindle and white good head, very strong neck, good lay of shoulders, liked his overall length and curves. Would just prefer more return of upper arm. Moved soundly.
3rd: 902 ARKELL, Mrs Yvonne Marie Hijacked Of Suriya At Slingket
Class 437 LD (8 Entries) Abs: 1
A top quality class, full of some gorgeous boys.
1st: 1014 TURNBULL, Mrs V Ticks The Boxes At Turnstone, brindle boy of super type. He has the most gorgeous head and alert expression, lovely strong neck with well laid shoulders, straight forelegs and strong pasterns with good spring. Well filled front, good depth with super tuck up, gentle arch over loin with well let down hocks and tidy feet. Moved so soundly from all directions and a dog you have to go over to really appreciate. Considered for top awards today.
2nd: 982 MORLAND, Miss Alayna Zoraden Master Baker JW, fawn and white parti boy, lovely type. Very curvy boy presenting the most balanced front and rear. Good head, strong neck into a well constructed front, nice depth of chest, well bent stifles and well let down hocks. Moved well.
3rd: 924 BRODIE, Miss Zoe Louise Sarah & OWEN, Miss Ebony Wolfscastle Crown Jules, had to mention another boy I really liked and could have won the class on a different day.
Class 438 OD (6 Entries) Abs: 0
A really super open dog class with my top 4 all being dogs I had judge previously all winning a class. I loved them all.
1st: 1031 YACOBY WRIGHT, Mrs Lynn Ch Cobyco Catch Your Eye, a fawn boy of such lovely type and the star of the day. The last time I judged I awarded him BPD and today he really didn’t disappoint. The most lovely head and expression with good eye and ear, strong and long neck into very well laid shoulders, such perfect front construction, good return of upper arm, well sprung pasterns, well filled front. Good depth of chest with a definite tuck up, lovely arch over loin, good bend in stifle with well let down hocks. He was shown in the most super condition and I could honestly watch him move all day, he is foot perfect coming and going and in profile he just effortlessly moves around the ring. I could easily take him home with me. Delighted to award him the DCC and pleased to see him go BOB on the referees decision.
2nd: 1020 WHEELER, Mr Rob Ch Ranveli Diki Diki, another who I have admired for a while of a different type to 1. Brindle boy who oozes quality, such a lovely outline with everything where it should be. Super head and strong neck, good lay of shoulder fantastic front with rear to match. Just so balanced and one who could have won this class on another day. Today he didn’t move as well as I know he can however I still couldn’t deny him the RCC.
3rd: 927 BYRON, Miss Emilie Jasarat Gucci
