Thank you to Vikki and her team for the invitation to judge at their 75th Anniversary Show. The super hospitality and very efficient stewards made the day run smoothly and the lovely gift will be treasured. Thank you to the exhibitors for their entries and their sportsmanship in accepting my judgements. There were some lovely dogs to go over, having not judged males for seven years, I was really looking forward to this appointment and I was pleased with the overall quality of both line-ups.

Baby Puppy Bitch 4

1st Brown & Hutchings, Winuwuk Firecracker 5 months B/W, loved this baby, head just right for her age, good rise of skull, a clean head with dark eyes and a cheeky expression, nicely balanced throughout, flowing smoothly from her elegant neck over her withers into a correct topline with a spot on tail set, good front and quarters, smart in profile, once settled she moved very well, really enjoyed her day. 2nd Pynegar’s, Berwynfa Dolly Wally Doodle, 5 months B/W, another smart baby, more developed throughout than the winner, her head is a little fleshy for me at this age, she has a good mouth, evident chin, a good front and well developed quarters, a square more cobby body, very well schooled, move and showed well.

1st Huggins’, Boxania Rock And Roll Star For Daervlish, 8 months B/W, a stylish confident puppy with a pleasing clean head, a good mouth and a kind expression he is well angulated throughout, nice bone, short backed, a little loose on the move at present but showed decent drive around the ring, he has a good show temperament, well handled.

1st Huckerby & Dowell’s, Norwilbeck Bellchime Belta, 11 months BW, a medium sized square dog with a super outline, always catching your eye, a most appealing clean head, good mouth, evident chin and super expression. Well off for bone, a good front and well angulated quarters, he just flows, a strong neck, correct topline with a spot on tail set, up on his toes today, moved well, super puppy, BPD, BPIS

2nd Chell’s, Jimbren Elite Legacy At Ludic, 9 months BW, another lovely puppy, taller than the 1st, a clean head, just right for his age with a good mouth, evident chin and large expressive eyes, a straight front, good forechest, well off for bone, super outline, quarters need to develop but he moved with drive and showed his socks off, lost out mainly on maturity.

3rd Mair’s, Macbarra Are You Ready For It At Glenauld

Junior Dog 5 (1)

1st Seeney’s, Maranseen Youbetcha, 17 months BW, this lad caught my eye straight away, he was on his toes throughout, in super condition, real quality, square medium sized with good bone, he demanded my attention, clean in head, masculine with a broad muzzle with good depth, correct lip placement, a good mouth and a melting expression with wide nostrils, a good front and shoulder placement, apparent forechest, tight feet, a clean arched neck, gently sloping strong topline, spot on tail set, strong muscular quarters and strong hocks, he moved with drive keeping his topline throughout, at one with his handler, pleased to award him the Dog CC & RBIS

2nd Brown & Hutchings, Winuwuk Under Your Spell, 17 months RW, an upstanding male, he is rangy but well made with good front angulation, his quarters need to strengthen he has strong bone, tight feet, presents well in profile, head wise it is balanced with a broad muzzle and a good mouth and evident chin and a kind expression, it just needs time to develop, he moved well with good reach and drive.

1st Bee’s, Beeann Big Story, 21 months BW, medium sized square cobby dog, I found his head is a little heavy and a tad short in foreface, saying that he has a kind expression, he looks good in profile, a clean neck, correct topline and tail set, a decent front, nice feet and well angulated quarters, he did what he had to do on the move for his handler holding his topline well but a bit more enthusiasm would help.

2nd, Lafferty’s Jimbren Legacy Lives On Through Tauralord, 9 months BW, a taller rangier puppy, a clean head with a kind expression and a good mouth, bodily he really needs to strengthen throughout, in particular in his topline, good to see him enjoying himself on the move, he did enough to show he has drive and reach but gave his handler a hard time.

Graduate Dog 2

1st Kavanagh’s, Marbelton In The Mix, 2 year BW, a larger sized but stylish dog with a lovely clean skull, his eye shape with a lovely alert expression most appealing, super mouth correct lip placement, strong elegant neck, good front and shoulder angulation, tight feet, he moved well, keeping his topline throughout, a little more width of second thigh would complete the picture for me.

2nd Saunby’s, Lynshanes Raising A Riot, 3 year BW, a medium sized cobby dog, square in profile, good bone, his head, balanced with a nice expression, large nostrils but a little fleshy for me, he looked nice in profile but was very hard to assess on the move giving his handler a hard time, pacing throughout.

Post Graduate Dog 3

1st Van Beck’s, Newlaithe Respect JW, 2 year BW, a tall smart well-made dog, a lot to like about his head, stronger but still clean and balanced, dark expressive eyes, square muzzle, good rise of skull, a defined stop and a good mouth. Super outline in profile with a clean neck and a short back with a correctly sloping topline, a good front with evident forechest, he moved well with drive on well angulated quarters, covered the ground with ease.

2nd Johnson & Pynegar, Sashbob Never Would I Ever From Berwynfa, 2 year BW, another well-made stylish dog who catches your eye with his smart outline, just preferred the cleaner head of the first, however he has good rise of skull, balanced muzzle, large nostrils, a good mouth, smaller eyes with a keen expression, strong neck, a correctly sloping topline and good tail set good strong well-made quarters, moved well with drive, a difficult decision.

1st Hare’s, Jimbren The Irishman (AI) 2 year BW, larger in size, he catches your eye as soon as he enters the ring, a stylish dog with an outgoing temperament, a pleasing balanced clean head with a good mouth and evident chin, good rise of skull, a true boxer expression, wide nostrils, good length of neck, a strong slightly sloping topline leading to well-made quarters. Well off for bone with a good front and shoulders, tight catlike feet, he moved with reach and drive, pulled into the last 4, I just thought he lacked a little muscle tone on the day for top honours.

2nd Woods, Arkeney Conquerer, 3 years BW, smart in profile, another lovely head, with a super expressive dark eyes, a clean skull with good rise, a good mouth, evident chin, broad nostrils, from neck smoothly over the withers, his topline, slightly sloping with a good tail set, good lay of shoulders, and decent rear angulation, slightly longer than the 1st, moved well in profile.

1st Mair’s Ch Macbarra Kickin Up A Storm At Glenauld JW, 3 years BW, presents a super picture in profile, fits the bill, medium sized, square with nothing exaggerated, in super condition, his head is clean with good rise, a good mouth, dark expressive eyes, good muzzle proportions. A good front assembly with tight feet, a strong clean neck, correctly sloping topline, good depth of brisket and a clean underline, strong quarters, moved with drive, pleased to award him the RCC, pushed very hard but I could not get past the quality and ring presence of the Junior winner. 2nd McCarthy & Gething, Ch Boxania Romanoff To Jeddhi, 3 years BW, Super quality male, this lad is so balanced both in head and body, his head, clean with correct muzzle to skull ratio, a good mouth, evident chin and the most expressive eyes. Well angulated front and back, correctly sloping topline with a spot on tailset, moved steadily with reach but would prefer more drive.

3rd Woolliss & Flintoft’s, Ch Boxania Roamin’ Around At Rameleon

Veteran Dog 4 (1)

1st Brough & Cairns, Ch Galicar Investigating With Limubox, 7 years BW, strong but balanced throughout, a good front, tight feet, strong correctly sloping topline, spot-on tail set and strong well made quarters, super in outline, he has not gone coarse in any way, moved with drive and reach, completely in tune with his handler.

2nd Johnson & Pynegar’s, Berwynfa Fifty Shadz Freed, 7 years BW, a larger male, well off for bone, good front, evident forechest, up on his toes, strong firm topline which he kept on the move, his head, a good mouth, a true boxer expression, not overdone but it isn’t as clean and well defined as the first. He certainly enjoyed himself.

1st Huckerby & Dowell’s, Norwilbeck Bellchime Corka, 8 months BW, smart and eye catching in profile, a square outline with good bone and tight feet, flows well from her neck to tail set, neat underline, clean balanced head, blocky muzzle with a good mouth and good rise of skull, dark expressive eyes, well-made quarters, moved well with drive and energy, loved her outgoing attitude

2nd McCarthy & Gething’s, Boxania Don’t Blame Me at Jeddhi, 8 months BW, another smart eye catching puppy, square and stronger in body than the first but still feminine, flows from her neck smoothly over her withers and down a strong slightly sloping topline, spot on tail set, well made quarters with strong hocks, her head, balanced and clean, nor overdone in any way, an appealing soft expression, expertly handled, moved well. A difficult decision

3rd Johnson’s, Sashbob Miss’d Meana

1st McDonald’s, Yeteb Little Miss Splendid, 10 months BW, this puppy may not be as showy at first glance but the more I looked the more I liked, a super clean head, a good mouth, good muzzle to skull ratio, large nostrils, dark eyes with a true boxer expression. Bodily she has a good front, tight feet, flows from her arched neck smoothly down to her correct tail set. Well made quarters with decent angulation, strong hocks, she moved well. BPB

2nd Brough & Cairns, Jimbren Lasting Legacy With Limubox, 9 months BW, a stylish puppy with a good front, well made quarters, super neck, appealing outline just slightly longer in loin than the first, dark eyes that shout boxer, wide nostrils, good muzzle, evident chin, will be interesting to see how her head develops, moved and showed well.

1st McCarthy and Gething’s, Lorrosa My Heads Been Turned To Jeddhi, 13 months BW, eye catching bitch in super condition, square in profile, good shoulder angulation, flows from her elegant neck smoothly over her withers and correctly sloping topline, right up on her toes good quarters strong hocks and good movement keeping her topline throughout, her head is clean, good rise of scull, dark eyes, super expression. A very bright future.

2nd Brown & Hutchings, Winuwuk Ghostly Affair, 18 months BW, lovely appealing clean head with super dark eyes, good muzzle to skull ratio, evident chin and big nostrils, good front angulation, her strong neck flows nicely over her withers, correctly sloping topline, she moved with drive and enthusiasm.

3rd Parker & Martin’s, Olleyville Odelia

Yearling Bitch 5 (1)

1st Drinkwater’s, Sulez Smashedit, 19 months BW, square and elegant in outline, not exaggerated in any way, just my type, what you see is what you get, clean very well balanced head, well-padded muzzle, good rise of skull with a good mouth and evident chin, the most expressive eyes complete the picture. Good front angulation with evident forechest, her super neck which flows smoothly over her withers down her slightly sloping topline together with a sharp underline, she has good bone and tight feet, well made strong quarters, she moved well both around and when going out and back, a super show girl fully deserved Bitch CC and BIS.

2nd Woods, Arkeney Enigma, 23 months BW, a larger sized stronger bitch but she maintains her femininity, appealing clean head, balanced with a lovely expression, a good mouth and evident chin and large nostrils. A good lay of shoulder, well off for bone throughout, correct quarters strong hocks, used well on the move, showed well.

3rd McCarthy & Gething’s, Jeddhi Ring Of Fire

Novice Bitch 2

1st Littlewood & Bowler’s, Airwaves Over Newlaithe, 1 year BW, a nice type of bitch, very excited, made her handler work hard but she presents a square outline with good reach of neck which flows smoothly down to a slightly sloping topline, good front angulation, decent bone, well angulated quarters, developing nicely, a clean head, nice dark eyes a good mouth and evident chin, just needs to settle to get the best out of her stacked, she moved well.

2nd Brough’s, Limubox Mango Tango, 13 months RW, a cobby well balanced bitch with an appealing head, clean with good rise of skull, dark expressive eyes and a good mouth, a strong arched neck flows smoothly over her withers down a slightly sloping topline to a good tail set and well angulated hammy quarters, moved well.

Graduate Bitch 5 (2)

1st Payne’s, Birleyvale Burning Heart (AI) 2yr 3 months BW, a larger bitch who presents a pleasing sharp outline, a good front and well-made quarters, a lovely arched neck, super topline and underline, spot on tail set. Her head is clean, balanced and not overdone at all, good rise of skull broad muzzle, wide nostrils, kind dark eyes, ears set wide, she moved well with drive and reach, well handled.

2nd Johnson’s, Ini Mini Myni Mo at Berwynfa, 23 months BW, eye catching, nice in profile, well balanced, a good front, cat like feet and a good depth of brisket, well defined quarters, used well on the move, her head is appealing although a little stronger, with a good mouth, evident chin and large nostrils, dark expressive eyes a fraction on the small side coupled with her higher ear set took away a little from my ideal.

1st Turner’s, Kevanor African Summer At Sonshoby, 2 years 9 months BW, a smart looking bitch, on her toes throughout, when settled she displayed a sharp balanced outline, with her strong elegant neck she flows smoothly over her withers down a slightly sloping topline, a good front, lacking a little forechest but displays a smart underline, well angulated developed quarters and strong hocks, her head is clean, good muzzle to skull ratio, evident chin, she moved well and displayed energy and enthusiasm throughout.

2nd Huggins, Willow Belle Star For Daervlish, 1 year 11months BW, a very smart compact bitch with a good front and a strong but elegant neck, her quarters, strong but slightly over angulated, she has a pretty head, balanced throughout, she has lovely dark eyes but she wasn’t interested today, gave her handler a difficult time when stacked although she moved well.

3rd Winter’s Arkeney Bourbon At Jayal

1st Drinkwater’s, Sulez Teaser, 2yr 8 months BW, taller elegant bitch, a good lay of shoulder and length of upper arm, strong topline and a good spring of rib, hammy quarters, her head is balanced and clean throughout, good mouth and lip placement and evident chin, the darkest eyes with a true boxer expression, settled down to move well but was spooked at first as someone collapsed their cage right next to where she was stacked in the ring.

2nd Lock’s, Romanico Bacctu Clarricks JW, 2yr 7 month BW, a slightly larger sized well-muscled bitch, eye catching in profile , a good neck, slightly sloping topline, good front angulation, well-made quarters which she used to drive her on the move, head is balanced, a good mouth, evident chin and a good rise of skull, a shade heavier than 1st but still appealing.

3rd Brooks & Tooby’s Penelope Bow By Jinnybrux

1st Banks, Ch Sunhawk Norwatch Talulah, 4years BW, this bitch was the best puppy the last time I judged, I liked her very much then and still appreciate her quality, square and so well boned, with a good front, evident forechest, correct depth of brisket, a good reach of neck, strong correctly sloping topline. Her head is clean so well balanced, super muzzle, a lovely soft expression a good mouth and lip placement, moved well with reach and drive, helped by strong hocks and well angulated quarters, well handled, a close decision for the Res CC.

2nd Hare’s Ch Jimbren Queen Of Tarts, 2yrs 3months BW, the most eye-catching, she has a super outline, good front and rear angulation, she uses her neck well and has a super topline which she maintains on the move, her head is clean, not overdone at all, she has a good mouth and evident chin a square blocky muzzle, good rise of skull and dark eyes, she moved well with drive and purpose, a lovely bitch, just for me, on the day she was lacking tone and was a little soft to the touch.

1st McDonalds, Ch Yeteb Little Miss Muffett, 7 year 8 month BW, she is a little heavier than the last time I judged her but many of my previous comments still apply, she has good front and rear angulation, uses her neck to advantage, correct topline which she keeps on the move, her head is not overdone at all, she has a good mouth, good rise of skull and expressive eyes, she moved well but did make her handler work for it.

2nd Van Beck’s, Newlaithe Pureco, 7 years BW, this bitch was out for a good time, made it hard work for her handler, lovely to see in veteran, square and balanced in profile, stands over a good front, a strong neck flowing smoothly into a slightly sloping topline to a spot on tail set, good quarters, dark expressive eyes in a balanced head full of character, moved well.
