Blackpool & DCS Sat 21st June 2025
It was my privilege to accept this judging appointment for my breed of thirty-five years, my first judging appointment was in 1998. I’d like to thank the officers and members of the Blackpool committee who kindly invited me to assess the Vizslas entered under me. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my efficient steward Robert Cross. Most of all the kind Vizsla owners', who entrusted me with their entries.
As breed specialist I find we are losing correct breed type. I've just started an in depth look at my results. The Challis' featured heavily, but that's the type I prefer, for bone and substance, heads and movement, they surpassed others that are winning consistently.
A vizsla’s whole outlook on life should be extrovert, with a love of life and a need to please. This should be reflected in their character in the ring. Temperaments were in the main excellent and exhibits were well groomed.
My winners fulfilled all my expectations.
