CSC Championship Show 05/10/25 – Special Awards classes

CLUMBER SPANIELS D/B (mixed )

I would like to begin by firstly extending a huge thank you to all the exhibitors for their entries into the special awards classes and for giving me the privilege of going over their precious dogs & bitches.  A lovely entry and l had an enjoyable day at a very well organised and friendly show.

My thanks  also to the Officers & Committee members of the CSC for the kind invitation and to my excellent and  efficient steward  on the day ( & Show Manager )  John Newsham  who also  helped invaluably with keeping the outside judges  table paperwork  held down and in check, on a very windy day !.

1. Argents Mrs V Marmalade Pluto Full Of Hope.  A pretty young feminine bitch of just 6 months who is of a lighter breed type. Good front and rear angulation and with neat correct feet, moved well .

1.  Sainsbury Mrs C ,  Elskerwoo Silver Lining . A lovely neat bitch with good head head and muzzle shape . Correct pleasing amber eye colour .Good topline and moved really well.

2.  Sainsbury Mrs C , Elskerwoo Cloudy Skies . Very similar comments to 1 apply (her litter sibling ) just not quite the movement today although she did move well .

3.  Crittenden , Mr C & Mrs S, Malbecmogs Tiger Eyes

1. Tilston Mr D , Maursett Menelaus.  A  handsome dog of good breed type with a correct head and clean eyes of correct pleasing colour. Good topline ,firm muscled body and a nice deep chest.

2.Nicolson & Risk , Mrs J & Mr S  & Miss A Jacquelyn & Nicholson Mr Stuart  , Knockhalon Spooktacular Of Taranstigh ( ATC BA22502501). Another very handsome dog  of correct type , good head planes and with nice correct eye colour , moved well but just not as well as 1 to-day.

3.Sainsburys Mrs C, Wooliebourne Nick Of Time Among Elskerwoo

1.Nickolson & Risk ,  Mrs J & Mr S & Miss A Jacquelyn  & Nicholson Mr Stuart , Clumbus Jolly Jumper Of Taranstigh ( Imp Dnk ).A very  impressive  masculine dog of good proportions and overall type . He showed really well with a good topline and moved soundly and freely with great drive and power.

2.Beskerby Flora Finching JW.  A really classy bitch of great quality, a lovely size and profile , sweetest  of feminine  heads and expression , good eye colour ,good level topline who moved really well too . On the day after considerable deliberation  I felt however the dog just had the edge
