Bath Canine Society

Breed: Bloodhound
JD 2(0) Two raw youngsters. 1. Prior’s Houndseeker Falcon (AI). Has good length and proportions to him, lean skull, good eyes, ears low set, could be a fraction longer, moderate bone, compact feet, prominent occiput, a little bit divergent on his head planes, moderate neck, level top-line, not overdone in skin, has depth to his chest, just needs to fill out and settle. 2. Westron’s Farlap Kaleb. Taller more masculine dog, strong in skull, moderate stop, square muzzle, good pigmentation, ears low set, strong bone, prefer a better lay of shoulder and more depth of chest, moderate rear with low set hocks, drops off in croup a little compared to 1, again needs time to drop and develop. LD 2(0) 1. Clark’s Farlap Keepsake. Lovely balance, excellent proportions, clean skull, excellent eyes with square deep muzzle, low set ears, good forechest, strong bone, could have a little more spring of rib, firm top-line, strong tail, well angled rear, lovely elastic gait on the move, very sound, holds his shape, lots to like and full of breed type. I think this dog is very exciting and with maturity to fill him out more in the middle he could be a multi CC winner and should feature in group competition going forward, DCC & BOB. 2. Prior’s Houndseeker Dauntless JW. Stronger dog than 1, a little overdone in the head for me, has square deep muzzle, little wide in back skull, lovely long low set ears, excellent bone, well sprung ribs, good width in second thigh, hocks could be a little stronger, good tail, powerful mover, just a stronger dog than 1. OD 3(1) Two lovely quality dogs. 1. Howie/Emrys-Jones’ Ch. Marksbury Malfoy. Super head, lean skull, has strength and depth to his muzzle without being too much, excellent bone, defined occiput, good length of neck, well made front with nice forechest, strong feet, excellent top-line with correct tail set of good length, nice width in thigh, good ribbing, elastic gait on the move, holds his front together, nice type, RDCC. 2. Priestley’s Marksbury Railway of Quikotic. Another nice quality dog, low set ears, lovely eye, has depth to his muzzle, level head planes, defined occiput, strong neck, excellent bone, ribs of fair length, strong tail of good length, moderate rear, steady mover in profile, a little out at elbow, nice type, good quality hound. SpB 1(0) 1. Bates’ Marksbury Rockerfella at Karames. Well proportioned dog, defined occiput, good eyes, ears excellent length and well set, deep muzzle, could have a little more strength of underjaw and a little heavy in lip, strong neck, good bone and feet, prefer a slightly longer ribcage, moderate rear angulation, once he settles he has a stride to him, could have a little better tail set, just needs time and could have more spring, BSpB. PGB 2(0) 1. Taylor’s Graceminster Rhyme (AI). Not totally comfortable with herself but liked her shape, feminine head, level head planes, lovely eye, prominent occiput, long neck, good length of body, could have a little more bone and would prefer thicker tail but I liked her proportions, has an elastic gait to her, moderate but not overdone and has good parts to her. 2. Hayden/Clark’s Farlap Krumble. Lovely dark eyes, like 1 has level head planes, would prefer a little more neck, good bone, moderate length, excellent rear quarters with width of second thigh and low set hocks, stronger tail but drops off in croup, not as fluid in profile as 1 on the move, two different type bitches. LB 1(0) 1. Rowland’s Castledee One In A Million. Dark eyes, not overdone in skull, could have a little more strength of underjaw, level head planes, ears of good length, excellent forechest and depth of chest, ribs well developed, neck of fair length, ideally she could be a fraction more longer cast in body, strong thick tail, moderate rear quarters, hocks could be a little stronger, compact feet, steady mover, just not totally settled. OB 2(0) Two nice bitches but different in type. 1. Miller/Avery/Emrys-Jones’ Marksbury Regina at Millvery. Very balanced, lovely head, eye and expression, lean skull, has a square muzzle, ears well placed, excellent forechest, strong bone, ribs well developed, muscled broad loin, clean neck, well angled rear, tail set could be a little higher but on the move has a real elastic gait to her, lovely type, BCC. 2. Clark/Hayden’s Ch. Farlap Qui Martha (AI). Slightly taller framed bitch, level head planes, super length of ear nicely folded, lean skull, moderate stop, preferred the forechest on 1 and elbow, ribs of good length, has broad loin, excellent rear quarters, strong tail, low set hocks, like 1 carries herself well in profile, just preferred the front of 1, RBCC.
