BPD 2(0)

1. Salt’s, Keola On The Road Again. Masculine head, lovely round skull, he has dark eyes that are set wide, good width of muzzle, slight tilt to his nose, nicely made front with correct bone, well filled at ribs for age extending well back, good top-line, high set tail carried gaily, moderate rear angulation, he holds his shape on the move, still needs to drops into his body but he has some arrogance to him on the move, good coat, lovely temperament and a positive mover, BBPIS.

2. Gilkes/Finnanger’s Hin Chen’s Obsession (imp NOR). Like 1, just 5 months old, nice proportions, liked his bone and substance, more immature than 1, needs to settle in his top-line, preferred the length of ribbing on 1, this dog has an excellent tail, moderate arched neck, liked his headpiece, has dark eyes, level muzzle, ears set well, good expression, outgoing temperament, two nice puppies, this one is just more immature, he knows how to move and for sure will improve with time.

1. Briggs’ Warathwaite Hear Me Roar. Very smart dog, lovely proportions to him, expressive headpiece with lovely dark eyes set well apart, round skull, I liked his expression to him, defined stop, excellent bone, nicely made front, moderate neck to him, ribs are well developed for age and of good length, still needs to settle in top-line a little, high set tail, moderate rear angulation but he is very collected on the move with some arrogance and swagger to him, nice breed type, covers the ground well on the move, BPD & BPIS.

2. Smith’s Ralphina All About Otto at Snowshoes. Just 6 months, lovely head and expression, excellent dark eyes, correctly balanced muzzle and skull, ears are set well , I liked his shape, low slung in body, ribs of fair length, correct bone for size, he is more immature than 1, on the move holds his top-line, lovely tail to him, needs to strengthen up in his rear but he has good breed type, nice quality, will definitely improve with age.

3. Norton/Trickey’s Rottshihpa’s Magnificent Madness NAF.

Three nice dogs all of different proportions and maturity.

1. Smith’s Freakshow Opulence Above All at Snowshoes (imp ESP). Loved his headpiece, detailed, lovely round dark eye, good expression with a lovely big nose, has some width of muzzle, good bone, nicely made front, correct length of neck, deep chest, ribs well developed for age, he is a little bit soft in top-line at the minute but has a high set tail, good buttocks with low set hocks, he has a jaunty arrogant attitude on the move reaching out, lots to like.

2. Rutter’s Ethelsmead Ripley’s Game. Nicely put together dog, I liked his proportions to him, he has a masculine head, just preferred the eye of 1 but this dog has good width to his muzzle, slightly tilted nose, round skull, large ears, set well, correct bone, ribs of fair length, firm top-line, ideally would like more angulation in his quarters but he is moderate and balanced, steady mover, just preferred the movement and attitude on 1.

1. Brown/Iley’s Hin Chen’s Mount Everest (imp NOR). Very balanced headpiece, good width to his muzzle, slightly tilted nose, round skull with definite stop, dark expressive eyes, correct length of neck, I liked his proportions, low slung, still to develop in rib but ribs are of good length and have some depth to them, good bone, nicely made front with compact feet, firm top-line, correct high set gay tail, well angled rear with good buttocks,on the move he holds his shape, has some arrogance to him,dense quality coat, really liked his type and his balance,RDCC and im sure is a future Ch in the breed.

2. Stevenson’s Shenleyvale Fifty Shades of Orange. Similar stamp to 1, expressive headpiece, like 1 has dark eyes set well apart, level muzzle with slight tilted nose, eyes placed correctly, round skull, high set ears, moderate neck, has depth to his chest, a little more developed in rib than 1, moderate top-line, like 1 has a good tail, just prefer more rear angulation on this dog, tends to shuffle in the rear on the move where where1 scored but he has nice type to him and good balance.

3. Yorke/Keree-Bartolo’s Chanikos Darkest Dreams at Shirkeira.

1. Stevenson’s Shenleyvale Fifty Shades of Orange. Repeat.

2. Yorke/Keree-Bartolo’s Chanikos Darkest Dreams at Shirkeira. 3rd in JD, finer built male, he has a balanced head, dark eyes, quite compact in body, prefer slightly better proportions to him, he has large nose, moderate front assembly, level top-line, lovely tail carriage and set, ideally prefer a better layback of shoulder, he is a positive mover, just preferred the proportions and type of 1.

1. Yorke/Keree-Bartolo’s Chanikos Darkest Dreams at Shirkeira. Repeat.

2. Tod’s Ethelsmead Half A Sixpence at Kengai. Gold and white dog, lovely bone and substance to him, has large masculine head, large round skull, dark eyes to him, wide open nostrils, good bone to him, has some fill in front with pear shaped ribs, moderate neck, prefer a better lay of shoulder, his ribs are of good length and he has an excellent tail, ideally like a little less length to him, he is a steady mover but could have more drive in the rear, prefer more rear angulation to him and still to develop in coat, two different dogs.

Only three in the class, two very similar in type with proportions and style to them.

1. O’Donnell’s Thaisu Trick or Treat at Chiachi. I liked his headpiece, masculine and not overdone, correct eye placement, slightly tilted nose, good proportions of muzzle and skull, ears are set well back, good bone, nicely made front with some forechest, correct slightly arched neck, still to develop in rib but they are of good length, well coupled, excellent tail carriage and set, strong rear angulation to him with low set hocks, good buttocks, on the move he is sound, comes towards you neatly and has a real swagger to him, good size, lots to like, still needs to completely fill out and mature in the body but liked his type.

2. Brown’s Rossvale I Have A Dream JW. Similar proportions to 1, eyes set well apart, just preferred the skull of 1 but this dog has wide dark open nostrils, moderate width of muzzle, nicely made front, good bone, ribs, correct neck set, holds his top-line, low slung in body, good texture to his coat, steady mover, just a little bit wide in front, two nice dogs.

3. Yorke/Keree-Bartolo’s Chanikos Darkest Dreams at Shirkeira.

1. Shulver’s Shidizzle Quartzite Star of Crimsonleash. He is just 6 months old this baby, he is immature and still needs to drop and develop into himself, he has a balanced head, round skull to him, lovely dark eyes, good bone to him, prefer a better lay of shoulder, he is a little bit short in neck, needs to obviously drop into his frame, high set tail, positive mover but for me he needs more rear angulation, a little bit straight in stifle, hasn’t got the width of thigh and loses his top-line a little bit on the move but he is a real baby and I am sure with time he will change and develop.

1. Gardner’s Ethelsmead True Grit. Correctly proportioned dog, right amount of substance to him, defined stop, ears are set well back, level muzzle, he has dark eyes facing forward well set, good bone to him, a little out at elbow, moderate neck, good depth to his chest with ribs that extend well back, ideally like a little firmer top-line, strong rear quarters to him, good buttocks, tail a little flat but on the move he is a sound positive mover, just prefer a slightly firmer top-line but he has good carriage on the move.

Best class of the day so far to judge.

1. Crossley’s Santosha Night Shade. Classic headpiece, lovely dark eyes well placed, wide open nostrils, tilted nose with correct placement, round skull, masculine but not overdone and has some width in his muzzle, low slung, lovely proportions to him, full of breed type, pear shaped ribs, correct bone, could have slightly straighter forelegs but is the right shape, super tail, excellent classic teapot tail, well angled rear, low set hocks, he is in good condition, positive arrogant mover, nice style and carriage to him, DCC, BOS & RBIS.

2. Bowns’ Matsonic Midnight Storm over Bishbow. Slightly smaller male than 1 but he is very balanced and good proportions to him, expressive headpiece, eyes are set wide apart, round skull, could have a little bit more width to his muzzle, good proportions of length of leg to back, excellent firm top-line, high set tail to him, he is a positive mover the way he holds his shape, just a little bit finer than 1 but has type to him with good carriage.

3. Clifford’s Cedarhythe Dark Destiny.

Lovely class to judge, 3 really nice quality dogs, slightly different in type but all nice to go over.

1. Spooner’s Ethelsmead Bak To The Future of Chanikos. Black and white male, really nice to go over, masculine head, round skull, large ears set well, has lovely width of jaw, tilted nose, nostrils could be a little bit more open but he has good bone and substance, low slung, nicely made front with forechest, good bone, ribs extend well back, he is well coupled, excellent tail set and carriage, strong buttocks, I liked his rear, on the move he has real arrogance to him and swagger, liked his type, very sound, covers the ground, quality dog.

2. Yorke/Keree-Bartolo’s Middletune Blazon Saddles JW. Gold dog, nice to go over, again has a nicely made forechest, ribs and front, firm top-line, high set tail, preferred the carriage of tail on 1 but this dog still has type to him, lovely dark eyes, well set, slightly longer in foreface than 1, round skull, he has a good size to him, again positive mover, places his feet well on the move, 2 nice dogs.

1. Yorke/Keree-Bartolo’s Ch. Middletune Flame of Gold. Gold bitch, lovely headpiece and also full of character, behaving like a youngster, expressive head, eyes are set well apart, has a slight tilt to her nose, ears are set well back, lovely forechest and depth of chest, nicely made front, she has a good neck, nicely proportioned body and legs, excellent top-line, super tail set and correct carriage, I liked her type, positive on the move, moderate rear angulation, nice for size and very typical on the move, sound from all angles, BVB & BVIS.

2. Francis’ Elzu Ebony and Ivory. 7 year old black and white bitch, large eyes, could be a little bit darker, moderate stop, level muzzle, she has feminine frame to him with moderate bone, ideally like more fill to her ribcage, good top-line, little soft in top-line, moderate rear angulation, not in full coat, steady mover, just doesn’t have the freedom of movement as 1, prefer more strength in the rear.

1. Smith’s Snowshoes Black Bettie. Black bitch, full of character, lots to like about her, detailed feminine head, lovely dark eyes, round skull, her ears are set high and well back, I liked her proportions, she is low slung already with the correct amount of bone but still feminine, ribs of fair length, still has to drop in her rear, has an excellent tail, she places her front well on the move, still to strengthen in her rear a little but is full of type, excellent temperament and good condition for age, nice type.

2. Smith’s Snowshoes Lady Penelope. Gold and white bitch, good substance to her, round skull, lovely dark eyes that are set well apart, wide open nostrils, good proportion of muzzle to skull, nicely made front, moderate neck, again has good development of ribs for age, moderate rear angulation, good buttocks, carries her tail well, a little bit more mature than 1, just preferred the type of 1 but two nice bitches.

3. Crossley’s Wharfeview With Bells On at Santosha.

1. Beer’s Miracey Miss Holly Berry. Gold and white bitch, feminine head, lovely expression, I liked her lovely dark expressive eyes, wide open nostrils, ears are set well back but her frame is low slung, nicely made front to her, moderate neck, good ribs for her age, could have a little bit more width in rear quarters and her tail a little bit flat but she is sound and has good balance and proportions to her, will improve with time.

2. Herring/Baker’s Matsha Macaroon for Quingshui. Slightly taller bitch than 1, round skull, has good width of muzzle, shows a little white of eye, taller framed bitch than 1 but has good bone, ribs of fair length, excellent high set tail, she is a positive mover, she uses her rear well with good drive, just slightly bigger framed bitch and more up on leg, in time will drop and fill out, nice bitch, just different type to 1.

3. Thornton’s Norboo Palmer Violet.

1. O’Donnell’s Santosha Senorita at Chiachi. Quality bitch, lovely balance and proportions to her, detailed exquisite headpiece, eyes are well set, slight tilt to her nose, round skull, prominent stop, ears are set high, lovely expression, real arrogant look to her, well made front, good proportions, pear shaped ribs, low slung body, excellent top-line, tail set, on the move she is very sound and well put together with good construction front and back and she uses herself on the move, has real swagger to her, lovely type, in excellent condition, RBCC, will watch this girls career with interest as im sure she has a bright future, pushed hard for the top spot.

2. Gilkes/Finnanger’s Hin Chen’s My Juliette JW (imp NOR). Like 1 has a nice feminine detailed headpiece, has some width to her muzzle, eyes set well apart, moderate stop to her, feminine expression, moderate neck, good bone for her frame, again level top-line, excellent tail, just preferred the front assembly on 1 but this bitch is moderate in her angles and collected on the move, just preferred the drive in the rear of 1 but a nice bitch.

3. Wood’s Densown Fanta Fizz to Ralphina.

1. Thornton’s Norboo Palmer Violet. 3rd in PB. She has dark eyes set well apart, wide open nostrils, I liked her skull, she has some good width of jaw, prefer more fill in front, moderate neck, low slung body shape, ideally like a firmer top-line to her, she has high set tail, moderate rear quarters but on the move would like a stronger rear action.


2. Shulver’s Crimsonleash Ruby Star. Black and white bitch, taller framed than 1, large eyes, prefer them set further apart and could have a bit more width of muzzle, preferred the bone of 1, moderate angles front and back, her ribs extend well back but could could have more spring to them, level back,high set tail which she carries well, low set hocks, steady mover, just preferred the type of 1.

1. Brown’s Rossvale’s Got The Look JW. Gold and white bitch, typey bitch, not totally finished in her coat but she has a lovely well made front, good lay of shoulder, neat elbows,I really liked her head, eyes are set nicely wide apart, good expression, wide open nostrils, good ears set well, lovely shape to her, good low slung body shape to her, firm top-line, ribs are well developed, she has a high set tail, what I like is she has good buttocks, something behind the tail, low set hocks, nice angulation to her rear, typical Shih Tzu steady movement, will improve with time.   

2. Spencer Down’s Chanikos Harper Seven at Evieshu JW. Black and white bitch, slightly taller framed bitch, a little bit narrower in body than 1, large expressive eyes, defined stop, has some width to her muzzle, good neck, straight forelegs, preferred the shoulder placement of 1, this bitch also has a good top-line, excellent tail set and carriage, she uses her rear well on the move but she is a little close but she is positive on the move, good coat and condition, has good attributes, just preferred the type of 1.

1. Wiles’ Middletune Chantilly Lace. Smaller framed bitch but she has good balance to her, she has large expressive eyes, has some width to her muzzle, moderate stop, ears are set well, lovely forechest, ribs of fair length and she has a good top-line, she is a little wide in her front and ideally like a little bit more neck to her, high set tail, she has a balanced rear, I would like something behind her tail, more buttocks, she is a steady mover, in profile she holds her shape, just a little wide coming towards you, good condition, nice type. 

2. Swift/Trickey’s Chanikos Poket Full O’Dreams for Shanjora. Eyes are set well apart, shows a little white of eye, open nostrils, level muzzle, of good proportions, prefer better bite, low slung, like 1 has a moderate neck, prefer a firmer top-line to her, she has moderate angles front and back, high set tail, just preferred the ribbing and movement of 1, would prefer a little more reach in front.

Gold and white bitch, outgoing lady, lovely dark eyes, wide open nostrils, ears are set high, ideally could have a little more dome to her skull but she has a nice expression, I like her shape and proportions, she is low slung, has some chest, good ribbing, clean neck and backline with an excellent tail, nicely made front, correct amount of bone, deep chest, prefer a little bit more angulation to her, she is a positive mover, ideally just like her to use her rear a bit more, she has good qualities to her.

1. Galliford/Keree-Bartolo’s Sassyshi Cake By The Ocean with Shirkeira JW. Nice bitch to go over, large expressive eyes set well, excellent width of muzzle, open nostrils, she has a nicely made front with some forechest, neat elbows, good length of neck, ribs extend well back with excellent top-line and a high set tail, could have a little bit more behind her tail, moderate rear angulation but she holds her shape on the move, steady mover with good tail carriage.

2. Scott’s Honeyshuchun Sand Goddess. Nicely headed bitch, like 1 has good width of muzzle, lovely open nostrils, slight tilt to her nose, dark expressive eyes, ears are set well, low slung body with good bone, has some fill in front, ideally like a slightly firmer top-line to her, correct high set tail, good buttocks, she is a positive mover on the go round, nice proportions to her, just preferred the top-line on 1.

Three quality bitches, so much to like about all of them.

1. Crossley’s Ch. Santosha Silhouette. She has a classic headpiece, I love her shape, her balance, her type, her proportions, expressive head, lovely wide open nostrils, slightly tilted nose, correct eye placement, feminine all through, low slung body, ribs of good length, has some chest to her, fantastic tail set and carriage, so typical of the breed, on the move she places her feet well, really uses her rear and she holds her shape, lovely type, excellent condition, i have previously judged her as a youngster and now fully mature she really is a super example of the breed.BCC & BIS.

2. Yorke/Keree-Bartolo’s Ch. Middletune Modesty Blaise JW. Nicely made bitch to go over, has a feminine head, again has good proportions of muzzle to skull, slightly rounded head, eyes are dark, moderate forechest to her with a nicely made front, good neck, holds her top-line well, again high set tail, has something behind her tail, low set hocks, steady mover, winner just uses her rear a bit better on the move but nice typy bitch.

3. Brown’s Ch. Rossvale Finnish Model.
