South Wales Kennel Association  General Championship show

Thursday 9th October 2025

Thank You for a wonderful Championship Show

I have only ever exhibited at Builth before, but I genuinely enjoyed the setup, location, and the convenience of being able to walk into town.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the officers and committee for inviting me to judge at your championship show—this being my first time judging at this level.

My appreciation also goes to my stewards for their time and excellent assistance throughout the days.

It was a real pleasure to judge Manchester Terrier, Parson Russell Terrier, Bedlington Terrier, and Smooth Collies.

Thank you all for your entries and for the good nature shown in accepting my decisions on the day. From the feedback received, you all found it as enjoyable as I did judging your wonderful dogs.

Parson Russell Terrier

Class 507 Junior Dog (4 entries / 2 absent)

1st Mitchell, Miss RL, Foxfur Espionage for Rodzina

At just over 14 moths old this dog showed his socks off today and challenged well for the BD, well balanced and without any exaggeration, easy spannable, good pelt and moved out and around the ring with drive. Can only see him becoming a champion soon, one to keep an eye on.

Awarded RBD

2nd Dixon & Aspell, Mrs R & Mrs R, Abysmal on a Mission for Scapegrace

A 17 month old that is a nice looking dog, good wedge head shape with a dark eye, expression not as keen as 1st place today, covered the ground well without exaggeration.

Class 508 Post Graduate Dog (1 entry / 1 absent)

Class 509 Open Dog (4 entries / 3 absent)

1st Baker, Mr M & Mrs J, Ch Tusiquevales Kudos with Pacolito JW (Imp ITA)

This 16 month old stood alone today but stood out for me, in harmony with his exhibitor giving an air of masculinity and authority in the ring. Good strong wedge shape, keen dark eye, ears in nicely set and in proportion. Fore and hind quarters balanced with good angulation, moved free striding with straight action around the ring. Represented the breed well in the group later.

Awarded BD & BoB

Class 510 Junior Bitch (4 entries / 2 absent)

1st Rimmer, Mrs K, Foxfur Bewitched by Kylini

Just under a year old, stepping into the junior class looked completely at home. Correct nice wedge headset, dark almond shaped eye, easy spannable with good pelt. Angulation fore and hind balanced allowing good drive around the ring

Awarded BPiB

2nd Dixon & Aspell, Mrs R & Mrs R, Scapegrace Ginny

A bitch coming to the end of her junior classes, another with a well balanced overall structure, stood well on the table, with nice wedge headset and keen eye. Moved well around the ring, just not with as much drive as my 1st place today

Class 511 Post Graduate Bitch (1 entry / 0 absent)

1st Dixon & Aspell, Mrs R & Mrs R, Scapegrace Faenor

2.5 years old well proportioned bitch standing alone today, good outline and good pelt, another with an easy span. Presented well and moved with good stride length around the ring.

Class 512 Open Bitch (3 entries / 0 absent)

1st Baker, Mr M & Mrs J, Ch Deglacobs Rebecca Riot by Pacolito

Stood out in this lovely class, a 2.5 year old showing all the attributes you want to see in the breed, nice wedge head, dark eye, V shaped ears, on a feminine outline. Pelt on good condition and well balanced angulations. Moved freely and covered the ground with drive

Awarded BB

2nd Jones, Miss S, Chadbrook Enhance the Dance

A maturing bitch but not showing her age, dark eyes and keen expression, good pelt and just a little larger to span than the 1st, moved well around the ring with balanced angulations. Can see her doing well in the veteran classes next year

Awarded RBB

3rd Dixon & Aspell, Mrs R & Mrs R, Scapegrace Buffy
