Manchester Championship Show – January 2025 – Dachshunds (Miniature Wire-Haired)
Thank you, exhibitors, for a lovely entry. I found that bitches are particularly better in depth of quality then dogs today. My thanks also for the stewards for their assistance.
MPD (6 Entries) Abs: 2
1st: Kirkwood-Emery’s Helydon Xtra Xpecial. Stood out in this class. Well-balanced dog having good head proportions, with correct front and feet, good depth of chest for age, nice topline, short loin, well angulated hind quarters, moved very well.
2nd: Magri’s Gilcoru Luigi Rozamie. Not quite the back end of winner, lovely head, good neck & front, correct front, good topline, good coat texture.
3rd: Price’s Collidach Thomas Tank
Res: Mills’ Hillersland Stroller At Oniasid
VHC: Rose’s Gilcoru Gino At Ridanflight Naf Taf
PD (6 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: Mills-Jones’ Bimini Moonrise At Carlita, A handsome youngster having good head with the correct proportions, nice front and feet, good chest, short loin, liked his topline and hindquarters, good ground clearance. Moved well. (BPD).
2nd: Sieminski’s Dallandor Burdock. Nice head proportions with good eye shape & colour, good neck, well constructed back end. Preferred front and loins on winner.
3rd: Whitehouse’s Gralinn Back In Your Arms

JD (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: Kay’s Kaytian The Suncaller. Good head, correct muzzle length, liked his chest and rib, unfortunately did not hold his topline on the move, would have preferred a harsher coat. Good hind assembly and movement.
PGD (2 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: Mullen’s Rozelle Fools Gold, well balanced dog with correct ground clearance, lovely head and muzzle proportions, excellent topline, good mover.
2nd: Corner’s Carcorn Raphael's Racer. Nicely shaped, well balanced, needs more confidence in the ring. Moved well.
LD (4 Entries) Abs: 1.
1st: Beach & Partridge’s Cardaxians Bambam Baby – 2 yr old boy who stood out in his class, compact and workmanlike, shown in excellent muscle tone and coat. Pleasing masculine head, correct eye shape and colour, good ear placement, lovely expression. Good neck & shoulders and excellent topline, correct front & feet with good bone, deep chest with well developed breastbone, well sprung rib, strong & muscular loin. Super rear construction which produced drive on his excellent, free flowing movement. (CC, BOB).
2nd: Rose’s, Ridanflight Remo, well-balanced, good forehand with decent bone. Ribs extending well back. Firm, strong topline, well constructed back-end, moved well.
3rd: Kirkwood’s Beetlejuice Vitoraz At Helydon (Cze Imp).
OD (3 Entries) Abs: 0.
1st: Rose & Blackburn’s Ch Stargang Pot Of Gold At Ridanflight (ai) – Very smart dog, well balanced with a good developed forechest, attractive masculine head and lovely eye & expression, good body and topline, good sound movement. Has some quality and style. Attractive, masculine head, strong jaw. Well-developed forechest, good body and ribbing. Well-muscled, nicely rounded rump and this gave him some drive on the move. Very smart in outline with his good head carriage and deportment. Pleasing head and expression, good forehand with decent bone. Ribs extend well back. Firm, strong topline - (RCC)
2nd: Corominas’ Ch Almarxils Diego For Ruichango JW - Very smart in outline with his good head carriage and deportment. Pleasing head and expression, good forehand with decent bone. Ribs extend well back. Very close call, winner had the edge on shape and topline.
3rd: Gilkes’ Dereheath Shaken Not Stired At Birichino.
VD (2 Entries) Abs: 1.
1st: Mills-Jones’ Ch Carlita Sunrise JW 7 yr old, liked everything about him, just would have preferred more arch on the toes. Presented in good condition, very good mover. Best Veteran in breed.
SBD (1 Entries) Abs: 0.
1st: Sieminski’s Dallandor Burdock. Good specimen, decent head and expression, correct front, lost his topline a bit on the move. (Best Special Beginner).

1st: Kirkwood-Emery’s Helydon Xceptional Xaya, 7-month-old of beautiful type, gorgeous feminine head of good properties with correct eye and sweet expression, good front, chest & brisket for age, compact, well balanced body, excellent rear angulation, moved well. (BP)
2nd: O'Connell’s Almarxils Flamenco Dancer At Llennocor Taf Naf. Well balanced, correct head proportions and expression, good ground clearance, winner had the edge on topline, moved well.
3rd: Flowers’& Smith’s Bingobongo's Honey Ryder.
Res: Rose’s Merryline Martha With Rosencrantz.

1st: Hutching’s Collidach Delta Storm - A handsome youngster with good length of head, dark eyes, strong jaw, correct ground clearance. Good forehand and topline, ribs extend well back to short loin, moved well.
2nd: O'Connell’s Almarxils Flamenco Dancer At Llennocor Taf Naf.
3rd: Flowers’ & Smith’s Bingobongo's Honey Ryder

1st: Mullen’s Rozelle Old Flame, lovely head proportions, good eye of correct size and shape, good mouth. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders. Decent in front with nice feet, well angulated rear – good coat texture! Moved sound and with drive.
2nd: Mills-Jones’ Carlita Jellie Baby – lovely type with a balanced body, correct head and front. Good topline, well ribbed. Moved out well behind.
3rd: Kilroy’s Rozelle Rosalie At Janacop
Res: Marston Teal’s Lordscairnie Peaceful. Love

PGB (8 Entries) Abs: 2.
1st: McDermott’s Bardot's Brigitte *** (Swed Imp), Pleasing head and expression. Well ribbed back into a short loin and well-made rear. Super harsh coat and texture. Won on front construction and movement, moved with purpose.
2nd: Flowers’ & Smith’s Bingobongo's Alpinista – feminine head and expression, good neck and front, presented in good coat, short loin, well angulated quarters, moved well.
3rd: Kilroy’s Do Smarties At Janacop.
Res: Kirkwood’s Helydon Vexy Vixen JW.

1st: Kirkwood-Emery’s Helydon Tartan Talula Jw, very smart bitch with a pretty feminine head, good neck & shoulders, lovely padded feet, well muscled & ribbed, correct topline and short loin, strong, muscular back end which produced propulsion in her very sound movement, clear winner in this class.
2nd: Mullen’s Rozelle Kamira's Year – of good type with correct body proportions, attractive head with dark eye giving a keen expression, strong, muscular hindquarters. Sound on the move.
3rd: Marston Teal’s Lordscairnie Love To Dazzle
Res: Tattersall’s Ridanflight Rosabella With Alanea

OB (7 Entries) Abs: 1.
Very good class with some very lovely specimen here, little to separate the first 3.
1st: Whitehouse’s Ir Ch Gralinn Sunshine Dancer CJW22 CW23. Gorgeous feminine shown in a harsh dense jacket. Head of good length with a strong jaw and a keen expression. Excellent forehand, lovely bone and feet. Strong breastbone and good length of sternum. Well balanced body with ribs extend well back. Well set and carried tail. Excelled on the move with good hind action and pleasing head carriage. (CC)
2nd: Kirkwood-Emery’s Helydon Nifty Nairn JW – another excellent bitch, presented in good muscle tone and coat, lovely feet with arched toes, excellent neck & shoulders, well ribbed and having a correct topline and strongly made hindquarters. Moved with drive. (Res.CC)

1st: Flowers’ Bingobongo's Babette, 7 yr old shown in good muscle tone and coat condition, Kind, femminine expression, clean neck and good shoulders, well boned with nicely padded feet. Well ribbed with a strong loin and nicely rounded hindquarters. Moved well with good drive from the rear.
SBB (5 Entries) Abs: 1.
1st: Rose’s Merryline Martha With Rosencrantz – decent bitch which stood out in this class, good head, good topline and tail set, moved well.
2nd: Sieminski’s Dajean Surely A Vision, preferred topline and ground clearance of winner.
3rd: Ruse’s Flossfields All About Olive
