Manchester Dog Show Society

Breed: Pharaoh Hound

One common problem I’ve found across multiple classes today was that of incorrect toplines. Some of the exhibits carried roached toplines which was evident especially on the move, something that needs to be addressed in this breed here. My appreciation goes to the stewards for their assistance, and for all the exhibitors for their entry.

1st: Peiponen’s Bazinga One For All And All For Me. Stunning boy which took my eye the second he stepped in the ring. Fabulous well-proportioned and well chiselled head with good length to skull, which he carried gracefully, correct eye and ear set, super neck and shoulders. Loved his depth of chest considering he is only 8 months old, excellent front and feet. Correct topline which he keeps on the move, strong loin and excellent hindquarters. His fluid movement, fore, aft and in profile with ground covering stride was a joy to watch. Expertly presented in fabulous condition. Presenting a beautifully balanced outline, this boy was a pleasure to go over. Would certainly love to follow this boy as he matures, this is indeed top-drawer stuff which represents this noble breed to a T. I am sure this boy will get his title in the UK very soon. Litter brother to previous class winner. No hesitation to award him the BPB, CC and Best of Breed.

2nd: Nichols’ Ch Zecharia Meet The Avenger. Presented in good condition, good head, slightly arched and muscular neck that carried its head gracefully, liked his front and back ends, correct chest and spring of rib, correctly angulated and muscled hindquarters, good movement fore and aft, simply preferred head properties and topline of the winner.
