Puppy Dog (1)

1. Diheath Cracker

A very attractive puppy indeed. Well proportioned and well constructed, typically low to ground and very mature for his age. Typical head with very good length and almost parallel planes. Healthy eyes. Long, well folded ears. Well developed in his forechest for his age. Standing he is a little high behind at this time, but evens out on the move. Moderate angulation behind. Very good socks. Looked very good on the move when moved at a rather slow speed, excellent drive behind. Best Puppy.

Junior Dog (2)

1. Reveros Power of Love

Simply outstanding dog, I like just about everything about him. He is strong and masculine, still has plenty of quality about him. Head with excellent length, parallel head planes, well set ears. Excellent expression. Long and strong neck. Well angulated both ends. Already with a very full body with parallel body planes. Well set and carried tail. Strong and healthy legs and feet. Very good socks. He moved as well as you can possibly hope for from every angle. A star. CC & BOB.

2. Beckshounds Kelly’s Hero

Another attractive dog, masculine without lumber and quite well proportioned, but without the wow factor of the winner. Long head with quality, a bit more roman nose than I prefer. Long enough ears. Strong neck, good layback of upper arm. Straight topline, not quite the tailset of the winner. Balanced angulation behind. Another positive mover from all angles.

Post Graduate Dog (3)

1. Dizandra Carpe Noctem

A dog with excellent proportions youngster, typically low to ground without exaggeration. He has a very attractive outline. Typical head with healthy enough eyes. Very good lipline. Strong back. Moderate angulation both ends. Excellent topline and tailset. Very good socks. Ears could be slightly better folded. Could gain some more weight to complete the impression as seen from above, but he looked very good from the side. A no nonsense well balanced mover, carrying himself well.

2. Clanwillow Fire And Ice

Quite a young dog with a very attractive silhouette, but still needs to body up to complete the picture. Could be more parallel in his head planes, lovely eyes and expression. Good ears. Well set neck, very good forechest. Firm topline, well set tail. A very sound mover from all angles. These two could change places on another day.

3. Diheath Chekov JW

Limit Dog (2)

1. Clanwillow Centenary Hero

Seven year old dog, masculine and with pleasing proportions. Refined head. He could open his eyes more, but they are sound. Well set, well folded ears. Would prefer some more strength of muzzle. Moderate neck and front angulation. Deep chest, acceptable topline, good tailset. Pleasing socks. Moved acceptably from all angles when he decided he wanted to do it.

2. Nelgus Golden Nugget

A much more instantly attractive dog, very typey and with an aura about him, but sadly he did not perform at all today and kept his tail constantly down and did not meet or great me with the expected happy go lucky temperament of the breed. Attractive head. Rather flat ears. Very good front. Long, and crested neck. Very good topline, strong, well angulated hindquarters and an apple bum. Used his legs well on the move, but with this tail carriage had to pay the price today.

Open Dog (6)

1. Armadio Against The Wind

Strong, masculine dog with a very pleasing outline. He has good length of head, reasonably parallel planes and a good occiput, I would not want a stronger skull. Strong neck, well set. Good forechest. Firm topline, well angulated behind with good socks. Well set and carried tail. He could be cleaner over his shoulders as they tend to be rather heavy. Moved well from the side and reasonably well coming and going.

2. Longmynd Cedric Smartson By Brompt

Black dog with a very strong topline and a good mover from all angles. He needs more stop to accommodate parallel head planes. Open and healthy eyes. Pleasing neck with a nape. Exceptionally good topline. The tail is well set if rather thin. Moderate, but balanced angulation behind. Light and easy and well balanced on the move.

3. Clanwillow The Emerald King

Veteran Dog (3)

1. Ch. Nelgus Thyme Bomb JW ShCEx

At nine years old, this is an unusually athletic dog with plenty of quality about him. Masculine head with ideal width and reasonably parallel planes. Excellent expression from very healthy eyes. OK ears. Strong neck. Well angulated both ends. Firm and straight topline, well set tail. Very good socks. I appreciate his parallel body planes, and especially how he keeps up on the move, with excellent carriage of head and tail contributing to a very stylish overall appearance and using his legs really well, especially from the side and from behind. ResCC and Best Veteran.

2. Diheath Really Cosmic At Kejana

Strong, masculine dog, very substantial. I would not want any more than this. Very good skull, excellent expression even if he has a special pigmentation of his iris. Roman nose. Excellent ears, very well folded. Strong and long neck. Rich forechest. Deep and capacious body. Firm topline, well angulated behind. Very good socks. Moved well, but not as well as the winner.

3. Sedonia’s Ambassador of Akura

Special Beginners Dog or Bitch (3,1)

1. Diheath Pyjama At Karames

A dog with correct width of head, could have more parallel planes and better folded ears. Strong neck. Moderate angulation both ends. Firm topline, well set tail. Moved around with balance. Very good socks. Very good coat. Happy temperament.

2. Houndsbay Vito Andolini

Masculine dog with good length of head, but could do with some less width of skull, his head is rather large compared to his body. Lovely eyes and expression. Normal neck and forechest. Short brisket, giving him too much tuck-up. Tends to roach his topline quite a bit on the stack. Well set tail. Very good coat, well handled. A happy mover from all angles.

Puppy Bitch (4)

1. Amazing White A Story With A Tail At Armadio

Nearly twelve months old and much more mature than the others in the class. Well proportioned and with excellent substance. Head of good length and parallel planes. Reasonable eyes. Very good ear set. Strong neck with a nape. Excellent forechest. At this time a little high behind in her balance when standing , but balances out on the move. Excellent underline, parallel. Very good socks, I appreciate her amount of skin. A balanced, functional mover.

2. Clanwillow Kiss The Girl

There is lots to like about this bitch. She has a refined, feminine head with excellent expression and good ears set, well folded. Long neck. Enough angulation both ends. She is long in her body, covering plenty of ground, needs drop a bit behind. Well set tail. Light on her feet on the move, but somewhat inconsistent in her carriage.

3. Lockolea Sweet Like Honey

Junior Bitch (2)

1. Bromp Bigbutt Beryl Brown

A typey bitch with very pleasing proportions and an attractive head and expression. Well set ears, long enough. Strong and crested neck. Well angulated in front and with matching angulation behind. Firm topline, excellent parallel body shape. Well set tail. She carried her tail when she wanted to, but the weather was extremely hot, and she could let it go.

2. Clanwillow All That Jazz

Twelve months old, feminine bitch, if quite large and at this stage appearing a bit leggy. Long head with parallel planes and a very attractive expression. Long neck, well set, firm topline. Pleasing tailset. Moderate angulation behind. She moved OK from all angles and well balanced on the move. I like her a lot, but she was a very inconsistent performer today.

Post Graduate Bitch (3)

1. Harvidene Cuckoo In The Nest

Tricolour bitch, instantly attractive, she has drama about her. Very well proportioned in her body, covering very good ground. Attractive head with prominent occiput, parallel planes and a lovely expression. Crested neck. Well angulated both ends. Firm topline, well set tail. Could do with better socks. A no nonsense mover with enough carriage.

2. Zukecoda Lady Sybil Vimes

Another attractive bitch, feminine and a very good mover with excellent carriage. Pleasing head without quite the length of the winner. Clear eyes. Well set ears, just enough folded. Moderate, balanced angulation both ends. Firm topline, well set tail. She looked her best in movement as she carried herself very well and had excellent forward motion in both ends.

3. Woferlow Storm Princess Into Akura

Limit Bitch (3)

1. Nelgus Crunchy Nut At Brackenacre

Very feminine bitch, elegant and with just enough substance for my taste. She has a long head with parallel planes and a healthy eye. Well set ears, well folded. Moderate neck and moderate, but balanced angulation both ends. Firm topline. Good tailset. When concentrating on the task and getting some help from her handler, she moved well with good extension both ends and a pleasing carriage, at other times not.

2. Armadio Wind Of Change JW

Strong bitch with excellent substance. She has a strong head with good length, healthy eyes. Well set ears. Strong neck. Excellent forechest. Strong bone. Parallel body planes, well set tail. Excellent skin and socks. A bit cumbersome on the move, I would like her lighter on her feet.

3. Switherland Gabriella At Stookewood

Open Bitch (6,1)

1. Ch. Lauralee A Kind Of Magic

Bitch of excellent type and quality, all Basset Hound. She is very well proportioned and well constructed. Lovely head with excellent length, width and parallel planes. Long neck, well set. Firm topline, well set tail. Well angulated in both ends. Excellent skin and socks. She is a balanced mover, but does not always carry her head as well as I would have liked to, but sometimes she showed that she could do with. I admired the cleanliness of her outline and indeed her breed type. CC.

2. Ch. Mellow Molly V Grunsven At Braemoray

Another feminine bitch with an attractive head, excellent skull, lovely expression. Strong neck. A little wrinkled over her withers. Balanced angulation both ends. Pleasing tailset. Not quite the topline of the winner. She moved quite well from all angles, sound and synchronized. ResCC.

3. Ch. Devonhound Who’s That Girl JW ShCEx
