Puppy Dog (1)
1. Riverwood X Had To Be You For Rohanmore
A dog with plenty of elegance and quality about him. Well grown for his ten months and making a very pleasing picture standing. Typical prominent back skull, lovely expression. Well set and carried ears. Long neck. Good return of upper arm and well filled in in front. Firm topline, correctly sloping. Well set tail. I would not want any more angulation behind than this. At this time, he needs to settle quite a lot in movement from all angles. Lovely coat and colour.
Junior Dog (3)
1. Brabrook Golden
An elegant, stylish dog. At seventeen months, he still has some maturing to do. Attractive head with lovely planes and expression. Well set, long ears. Long neck. Correctly loping in his topline to a well set tail. Balanced angulation both ends. Needs to widen in his body, especially in his front part. Lovely coat and colour. Moved light on his feet and kept his balance, but tended to lift his front legs more than necessary.
2. Harelferg Macfarlane for Umfrido
At thirteen months old, this is a very mature dog. Strong and masculine, he scores in soundness over elegance. Strong, masculine head. Medium long neck. Level topline which took something away from his outline. Strong bone. Lovely coat and colour. A sound mover from all angles. I hope he fines down rather than grows on.
3. Allardus of Victorious Pure at Edanveys
Yearling Dog (5)
1. Gwendariff Sky Diver
An outstandingly beautiful dog that totally filled my eye and won this class with plenty in hand. He is already fully mature and has a simply stunning outline. Top class head with an excellent length of muzzle, plenty of chiselling and a very pleasing expression, even if his eyes are not the very darkest. Very pleasing rise of neck, well set. Excellent forechest. Firm topline with some slope to it and a very well set and carried tail, much contributing to a very beautiful all Irish setter outline. Very well angulated behind. Excellent bone. A sound and functional mover from all angles. My notes say “ready to become a champion any day” and indeed he did so today already with the CC & BOB.
2. Brabrook Golden
3. Gwendariff Not On Your Nelly
Graduate Dog (2,1)
1. Harelferg New Tricks for Umfrido
Four year old dog, tall and elegant, but also masculine. Typical skull and length of muzzle. Could do with a stronger underjaw. Well set and carried ears. Long neck. Quite pleasing forechest and return of upper arm. Correctly somewhat sloping topline. Long hindquarters with ample angulation. In a very good coat, beautiful colour. He moved with medium extension in front and could be more stable coming towards me.
Post Graduate Dog (1)
1. Bardonhill Mcintosh at Montgreenan JW
A very attractive dog, well balanced. Masculine without lumber. Typical head with prominent occiput and enough length. Well set ears. Quite long neck. Pleasing forechest. Strong and firm topline with a slight arch of loin and correctly sloping towards his well set tail. Well angulated behind. A no nonsense sound and functional mover. Very good colour.
Limit Dog (5)
1. Quensha Walk Me Home to Danwish
A very striking dog with excellent proportions. Typical, masculine head with prominent occiput and a lovely expression. Very good neck into shoulder, clean outline with some slope to his topline. Very good forechest. Well set tail. Balanced angulation both ends. He moved well from the and from the front, but could improve going away. In a good coat with correct structure.
2. Gwendariff Ucant Touch This JW
Another attractive dog, well balanced and masculine. Strong head, excellent eyes. Medium neck, but not like the winner. Firm topline, well set tail. Balanced angulation both ends. He moved with normal soundness from all angles, if rather proud of his tail.
3. Gwendariff It’s Just A Rumour
Open Dog (3)
1. Riverbrue Cast No Shadow On Haverley
Classical, thoroughbred and elegant dog. Well balanced and proportioned and with a lovely outline, if possibly still not at his very best. Lovely head and expression from his dark, well placed eyes. Long neck, well set. Well angulated both ends. Firm topline, but could do with slightly more slope to it. Well set and carried tail. Balanced angulation both ends. He moved with elegance and grace, at all times keeping his outline, more than reasonable coming and going too. Lovely coat and colour, well handled. ResCC.
2. Sh.Ch.Ir.Sh.Ch.Fin.Ch. Gwendariff Absolutely Marwe’llus
A very sound dog with a lot of drama about him. I would prefer some more length of leg for optimal balance as he appeared somewhat low stationed. Typical masculine head of medium length. Strong neck. Well set. Excellent angulation both ends, ample forechest. Excellent topline and tailset. In a very good coat. Above all, he is a truly outstanding mover from all angles, very sound and with plenty of extension both ends. Especially well handled.
3. Ir.Sh.Ch. Forfarian Mind Yer Manners
Veteran Dog (1)
1. Ir.Sh.Ch.Int.Sh.Ch. Toberbilly I Wish You Luck
A big, strong, masculine dog of very pleasing type and quality. Strong, masculine head, well set and carried ears. Strong neck, well set into shoulders. Ample forechest. Very good topline, well set and carried tail. Balanced hindquarters. In a beautiful coat of excellent quality and structure. He kept his outline on the move, but was slightly favouring a front leg today, if not lame until the challenge, when he had to be excused.
Minor Puppy Bitch (2,1)
1. Gwendariff Greta Garbo
A well proportioned, very feminine bitch. She has come quite a long way for her six months old. Well chiselled head with the most beautiful eyes and expression. Wel set ears. Medium neck. Very good layback of upper arm. Firm topline, slightly sloping, well set tail. She has more angulation behind than she can handle at this moment on the move, but when she gets that right, she has excellent potential. Excellent colour, coat under development. Best Puppy
Junior Bitch (1)
1. Clannrua Fiarua JrCh.
A very feminine bitch, scoring in elegance. Feminine head of medium length, lovely expression, typical brows. Moderate neck and front angulation. Still needs to develop in forechest at seventeen months old. Firm topline, well set tail. Balanced angulation behind. She needs to settle in movement both ends, but moved light on her feet and with elegance and style.
Yearling Bitch (3)
1. Sh.Ch. Gwendariff Skys The Limit
A strong and very mature bitch for her young age, yet feminine. Lovely head and expression. Long and well set ears. Long neck, very well set into excellent shoulders. Very good forechest and return of upper arm. Strong topline, typically slightly sloping. Long, well angulated hindquarters, well set tail. She does not need any more body than she already has, and could do with slightly less weight than she has today. A truly sound and functional mover from all angles. A bitch of exceptional quality and type. CC
2. Gwendariff Skyfall
A very elegant bitch, very eye-catching, feminine and racy. She has a lovely head with excellent occiput and a particularly wonderful head profile. Long and well set ears. Long neck, if not the neck set nor shoulders of the winner. Excellent topline, slightly sloping into a well set tail. Well angulated in the rear. She moved light on her feet and with plenty of energy, but I would like some more extension in the front.
3. Clannrua Fiarua Jun.Ch.
Graduate Bitch (2)
Two attractive bitches, not much between them.
1. Forfarian Fancy Me
An elegant bitch, well up on her legs. She has a very typical head and expression. Long neck, if not the perfect neck-set. Enough forechest. Excellent topline and tailset. Correctly angulated behind. In a very good coat of good structure. She was parallel in her movement coming and going, keept her attractive outline very well on the move, and moved out reasonably well.
2. Gwendariff Rhianna JW
Another attractive bitch with an attractive outline. Typical head with length and chiselling. Medium long neck, quite well set. Very good forechest. Firm topline, slightly sloping into a well set and carried tail. Well angulated behind. Not as accurate coming and going as the winner and tended to sidetrack quite a bit, but moved out better from the side. Lovely coat structure and deepest of colours.
Limit Bitch (2)
1. Clonageera Dancing Queen Ir.Jun.Ch.
A bitch of excellent type and quality, she filled my eye standing. Well chiselled head with the darkest of yes, if on the stronger side. Long and strong neck, well set into shoulders. Firm topline, slightly sloping into a good tailset. Balanced angulation behind. Deep chest with just the right volume. Very good coat quality. She did not move as well as she looked standing, needs to stabilize both ends, but kept her outline well on the move. Lovely coat and colour
2. Forfarian Tickles Yer Fancy
Another attractive bitch, feminine and racy. Her head fits her very well. Long neck. Balanced angulation both ends. In a good coat and lovely colour. Firm topline, good tailset. She moved parallel coming and going, but slightly favoured a leg and became somewhat bum high on the move.
Open bitch (3)
1. Gwendariff Dazzling Diva JW
Bitch of excellent type and outline, very feminine and well constructed, if with just enough length of leg. Excellent head with lovely expression and typical brows. Medium long neck, well set into shoulders. Lovely forechest. Firm topline. Well set tail. She retained her balance on the move and moved with plenty of energy, quite sound coming and going as well.
2. Ir.Sh.Ch. Int.Sh.Ch. Rohanmore Along Came Polly Jch.
A tall bitch with plenty of legance. Feminie despite her size. Typical head with prominent oacciput. Excelen ears. Long neck. I would like more orecehst anda betet layback of uppe arm. Very good topline sloping wasy towards her tail. Well angulated behind. She retained her aalbance on the move and moved with pride and light on her feet, better in front movement than her standing picture would suggsest. Lovely coat quality.
3. Ir.Sh.Ch. Ladysdale Maud Gonne to Shilvodan Jch.
Veteran Bitch (1)
1. Sh.Ch.Ir.Sh.Ch. Corranroo Just One Kiss with Riversett JW
Eight year old bitch very attractive in her outline and balance. Well up on legs and with matching body length. Feminine head, if skull somewhat on the stronger side and could do with some more chiselling. Well set neck of good length. Moderate, balanced angulation both ends. Strong and firm topline sightly falling away to her well set tail. She kept her balance very well on the move and moved out moderately well if much in sync, could be more stable as seen from behind. In excellent condition for her years. Lovely coat and colour. ResCC.
