Breed: Australian Cattle Dog

Australian Cattle Dog, Welsh K.C. 2025

Junior Dog (3,1)

1. Austmans Uh Oh

A well balanced dog with an attractive outline. Pleasing skull, but his muzzle is too short for my preference. Pleasing expression. Good rise of neck with a nape, excellent topline. Moderate, but balanced angulation both ends. A very well balanced and open mover form the side, stable in front. ResCC.

2. Guardalavaca Da Capo

At this stage, this is a masculine, if somewhat leggy dog. Good skull, very good stop, but he does not need to grow any stronger in his head. Well placed ears. Pleasing rise of neck. Quite good forechest. Strong topline. Cold do with some more angulation behind and did not stride out as well as the winner.

Post Graduate Dogs (2)

1. Guardalavaca Daiquiri

A well balanced dog, and he has come far for his twelve months old, still needs to become somewhat more compact with maturity. Very typical head and expression, very good ears, correctly placed. Strong neck, very well set. Balanced angulation both ends. Firm topline. Strong thighs. He moved very well from the side, coordinated and balanced. Excellent coat. Well handled. CC & BOB.

2. Quinntaz Hagstrom

Strong, masculine dog, two year old. He has a strong, masculine head with a strong skull. Could do with some more neck and a better layback of upper arm. Rather wide in front. Strong topline, well angulated behind. Not the side movement of the winner, using more steps, but kept his balance well.

Open Dog (2,1)

1. Ch. Austmans Bush Trucker

At two years old, this is a masculine dog, but his body and bone does not quite match his head which is typically strong and masculine. Strong neck. Could do with better angulation in front and more fill of forechest. Strong topline, compact in his proportions. Moderate angulation behind. Moved with energy.

Junior bitch (1)

1. Guardalavaca Da Capo

Red speckled bitch. Feminine, compact, not big. Very good skull, short muzzle, excellent ears. Strong neck. Moderate, balanced angulation both ends. Deep and capacious chest. Firm topline. In the main a sound, functional mover.

Limit Bitch (1)

1. Koumalablu Jett Star at Bryndingo

A well balanced attractive bitch. She has a typical head without exaggeration. Very good ears. Strong neck, well set. Good strong topline, could be somewhat more compact. Moderate angulation behind. A pleasing coat. She is very happy and playful. Moved light on her feet, keeping her balance. CC

Open Bitch (5,2)

1. Ch. Austmans Despicable Me

A strong bitch, still feminine, very much of the type I prefer. Typical skull, well set and carried ears. Lovely expression. Strong neck. Medium angulation in the front. Could put more weight on her front feet standing. Ample angulation behind. Very good coat and colour. When she finally relaxed, she moved very well from all angles, but did not quite hold her topline on the move. ResCC.

2. Ch. Austmans Barb Dwyer With Shardlow JW

A well balanced bitch, but I would prefer somewhat more of her, including bone. Typical head and ears. Very good neck. Pleasing topline. Moderate, balanced angulation both ends. Quite a good mover from all angles.

3. Windwarrior’s Viva Kawaii of Guardalavaca
