Rhodesian Ridgebacks Belfast 2025

Puppy Dog (1)

1. Bikquest Helios Sunreacher

At nine months old, this dog will need a lot of time to grow into his adult balance. At this time he is rather leggy and high behind. Typical masculine head with a good skull and pleasing head profile. Well set and carried ears of proper size. OK neck. Rather upright in his upper arm and needs to develop a lot in forechest. Very moderately angulated behind. Symmetrical ridge of good length. Excellent coat. Not very balanced on the move at this time.

Junior Dog (2)

1. Mission Wild Wind of Luanda at Affrhoda

A stunningly beautiful dog, so well balanced and proportioned. Just outstanding! Masculine and strong, still with plenty of quality. Typical head with correct head proportions. Good ears. Strong and crested neck. Excellent topline with a slight arch over his loin. Well angulated both ends. Lovely coat and colour. Symmetrical ridge with good length. But sadly he needs to be much more brave in his temperament, but friendly enough and let me touch him after repeated attempts. Then he also moved well. A sure champion if his temperament will allow it.

2. Carlincox Knock Ya Socks Off

Masculine dog, well developed for his age. Another with an attractive head and expression if slightly roman nosed. Strong neck, well set into shoulders. Well angulated in front. At this time, he is giving away in topline, especially on the move. Balanced angulation behind. Very good coat and colour. Symmetrical ridge. Very good temperament. Not the balance in movement of the winner.

Limit Dog (3)

1. Priorpark’s Par The Course JW

A well balanced and well constructed dog of very pleasing type and quality, but I would prefer more of all of him for an almost two year old dog. Typical, well balanced head, fitting his body well. Excellent and most typical expression from his ark and well shaped eyes. Strong neck, well set. Balanced angulation both ends. Excellent coat. A very sound mover from all angles. Long and symmetrical ridge.

2. Kijuvu’s Khafre

Masculine dog, three years old. He has a strong masculine head with more lips than he needs. Strong neck, well set into shoulder. Not the layback of upper arm of the winner. Deep and capacious chest. Long and symmetrical ridge. Balanced angulation behind. Moved with pleasing coordination, if not quite stable in his front action, tending to turn his front feet out.

Open Dog (7)

1. Ch.Ir.Ch.Int.Ch. Rottridge I Am Wrath

An impressively balanced male. He has excellent proportions and combines strength and substance with quality and elegance to an optimal degree. being masculine without lumber. Excellent skull, well set ears on the larger side. Could do with some more fill under his eyes and expression not his best feature. Strong and crested neck, ell set. Excellent topline. Moderate, very balanced angulation both ends. Long and symmetrical ridge. Excellent coat and colour. He is a sound and functional mover from all angles, keeping his balance and outline, especially when the handler goes the extra mile and makes sure that he is happy. CC & BOB.

2. Ch. Kinabula’s Just For The Record

Very imposing, strong and masculine dog with excellent construction. I would not want any more of him that this however. Typical head, pleasing expression, but could be drier in his lips. Strong neck. Excellent forechest and return of upper arm. He covers a lot of ground with his body. Excellent ridge, with plenty of length. I would not want any more angulation behind. He is an outstanding mover from the side with very long and supple steps from the and very sound going away. ResCC.

3. Suhuba Dream Star Sulli

Veteran Dog (1)

1. Saadani Eye of the Storm

At seven and a half years old, this dog is very fit and combined substance with quality. Typical head and a pleasing expression despite not having the darkest of eyes. Strong neck, well set into shoulder. Could put some more weight over his front legs when standing. Excellent depth, width and length of body. Well angulated behind. In a very good coat. Long and symmetrical ridge. He still moves with enthusiasm and suppleness from the ide, but gives away a little in hindquarters. Best Veteran

Special Beginners Dog (1)

1. Bikquest Helios Sunreacher

Puppy Bitch (2)

1. Bikquest Envy Blazinigstar

Nine months old feminine bitch. She has grown somewhat up in the ear and now needs to settle into her mature balance. Feminine head with pleasing proportions, could do with some more stop. Good rise of neck. Firm topline, but higher behind than in the front when moving. Good bone and very good feet. Excellent colour. She moved well, much in synch with her handler. Best Puppy.

2. Bikquest Sunshine Ember

Similar bitch and much the same can be said about her. I preferred her head with a pleasing stop. Also needs to gain more angles both ends and is even higher behind. Not the drive of the winner in movement.

Junior Bitch (3)

1. Droimdara Kiss The Blarneystone for Kinabula

Well balanced and proportioned bitch, another who combines substance with quality. Classical female head with excellent expression and ears. Crested neck, very well set. Moderate angulation in front, but already has a pleasing forechest. Deep and capacious body. Firm topline with a slight arch over the loin. Long and symmetrical ridge. I would not mind a little more angulation behind. Nice and easy and well balanced in movement from the side.

2. Kinabula’s Cup of Ambission

Very similar bitch, another with a pleasing balance and combining substance with quality. Classical, feminine head with beautiful eyes and expression. Pleasing neck. She did not want to put as much weight on her front legs and then lost a little topline standing. She firmed up on the move and moved very synchronized and well balanced. Excellent long and symmetrical ridge. Beautiful coat and colour.

3. Leeufir Sekiamba Hakahaarli at Suhuba

Novice Bitch (2)

1. Barfordridge Maga

At twenty-two months old, this is a nicely balanced bitch, even if slightly on the short coupled side. Very typical feminine head with beautiful expression. Rather large ears. Attractively crested neck, well set into shoulder. Moderate, balanced angulation both ends. Typical outline. Exceptionally long ridge, symmetrical. Very pleasing coat and colour. Kept her balance on the move and moved reasonably well coming and going too.

2. Biquest Envy Blazingstar

Graduate Bitch (2)

1. Sonstraal Blue Moon

Liver coloured bitch, quite well proportioned and very feminine. I would prefer some more strength of head. Attractive neck with a nape. Elbows could be closer to body and she needs more spring of pastern. Plesing topline, well angulated behind. Pleasing ridge. Could move with some more strength and determination.

2. Druimberg Breaking The Ice

Big, strong dark coloured bitch with excellent substance. A bit masculine in her head. Strong neck, very well set into shoulder. Ample bone. She is a really good mover from all angles, but sadly I was not able to go over her properly. Worth training with and would have won the class if not for her silliness.

Post Graduate Bitch (2)

Two good bitches

1. Kinabula Stay Calm and Smile

A very well balanced bitch without exaggerations. Classical head with excellent expression. Well placed ears. Crested neck, well set into shoulder. Enough forechest and good return of upper arm. Strong topline, attractive body shape. Moderate, balanced angulation behind. She stood very firmly over her legs and feet and moved soundly from all angles. Long and symmetrical ridge.

2. Sikulubani Karoo

Quite a big bitch, still definitely feminine and with quality. Another with an attractive head even if she could have some more strength of underjaw. Crested neck, well set into shoulder. Standing she has a tendency to tuck herself up and them made too much of an arch to her topline. Still needs to mature in forechest. She moved very light on her feet and effortlessly, but could improve going away. Another with an excellent ridge.

Limit Bitch (2,1)

1. Kalahari Sun of Luanda at Affrhoda

A big and strong bitch, still feminine, she is very well constructed. Strong head for a bitch, well shaped, but her rather low set, large and heavy ears does no wonder for her expression. Strong neck, well set. Very well angulated in shoulder and upper arm Deep and capacious body. Firm topline, moderate angulation behind. She moved well from the side and in front, but could be cleaner moving away. Excellent long and symmetrical ridge.

Open Bitch (9)

1. Ch. Priorpark Poetry in Motion

A very well balanced bitch of excellent type and quality. She has the proportions I am looking for and above anything the movement. Typical liver head with excellent profile. Strong neck, well set into shoulder. Pleasing forechest and return of upper arm. Firm topline most of the time, if not always while standing. Well angulated behind. She is an excellent mover from all angles, so aptly named, if at times a little proud of her tail. I loved the fact that she single tracked while perfectly retaining her soundness. Long and symmetrical ridge. CC

2. Ch. Kinabula’s Coco Melon

A very eye-catching bitch, upstanding, I would not want any longer legs than this. Classical head. Lovely expression even if she does not have the darkest of eyes. Long and crested neck added a lot of quality and class to her. Very moderately angulated in front. Firm topline, balanced angulation behind. She is a sound mover, certainly nice and easy from the side. Excellent long and symmetrical ridge. ResCC.

3. Rottzridge Perihelion at Gileeja

Veteran Bitch (2)

1. Saadani Storm Catcher with Sharufa

Feminine bitch of pleasing proportions. She has a classical head with excellent expression. Long neck. Moderate, but balanced angulation both ends. Firm topline which she retained on the moved. Rather short in brisket, creating too much tuck-up. Very good ridge, symmetrical and long. She moved light on her feet and with pleasing drive.

2. Ir.Ch. Sanbona A’frican Soul Daaci at Suhuba

Standing I preferred this bitch for her outline. She is feminine and has enough substance to match. Very good head and expression. Crested neck. Moderate, balanced angulation. Very good topline, but I would like her to cover some more ground standing and certainly when moving. Clean coming and going. Very good ridge. Lovely coat and colour.
