Working & Pastoral Breeds Association Of Scotland

Breed: Collie (Rough)

Working & Pastoral Breeds Association of Scotland – November 2025

A huge thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge. I had a thoroughly enjoyable day and found some lovely exhibits. My steward was wonderful and so welcoming to exhibitors.

Most exhibits were presented well, some would benefit from closer attention to grooming of the soft undercoat and denser areas. Temperaments were good. The hall as always was noisy and I’m sure many would perform better outside. The atmosphere around the ring however, was lovely and exhibitors were super a privilege to be in the ring with.

Puppy Dog

1.Rycraft’s Millubie New Cast in Rydellsky. Good head and eye, developing use of ears. Has a lovely outline with a good shape and balance. Coat at that time of change, lovely main. Moved away well just needs to tighten coming, but this will come as matures. Should have a bright future. Best Puppy Dog, Best Puppy in Breed.

Junior Dog

1.Rycraft’s Millubie New Cast in Rydellsky

Post Graduate Dog

1.Foster’s Didek Eclipse of The Moon. Nice head and eye, not enjoying hall today which showed in ears. Good body. Moved true coming. In super coat and well presented. Good ribbing and balanced. Reserve Best Dog

Open Dog

1. Watt’s Culbrae Red Again. Best mover of the boys, holding a lovely profile shape. True away and back. Lovely head, eyes and good ears. Shown in lovely condition including body and coat. Everything in moderation. Best Dog

2. Houlihan’s Kourika Frosted Ice. Lovely type. Good body, moved out ok, just not the profile or ears of 1. Head ok and lovely eyes.

Junior Bitch

1.Clark Kerr’s Salsina Love Me Do. Super profile movement. Enough body and width. Lovely sweet expression and feminine head. Good ears. In super coat.

Post Graduate Bitch (7,0)

A super class with some lovely girls higher in the cards. First two very different types but lots to like in them both.

1.Proctor’s Didek Moonshine for Cathbri. Loved her type and shape. Kept a good profile shape. True away and back, very correct action. Lovely expression, good eye and use of ears. Just needs her full coat to finish the picture. Delighted to award RBB

2. Boyd and McGill’s Gemheid May'd of Gold for Stregato. Taller flashier type, but full of quality. Kept a super profile movement, just preferred the rear action of 1 today. Coat in lovely condition and presented beautifully. Lovely expression and used ears well.

3.Macdonald’s Brilyn Look at Me for Faraliya

Open Bitch

1.Welsh’s Thistlewing Magic Lady. Super head and expression, good use of ears. Moved well away and kept a super profile shape, could be tighter coming. Shown in super hard condition. Loved her type and size. Super coat and overall picture. Delighted to award Best Bitch and BOB.

2. Wensley, Wensley & Lusty’s Blamorder Any Dream Will Do. Nice overall shape. Kept a good topline on the move. Correct length to tail. Shown in lovely firm condition. Just needing her coat to finish the picture.
