City Of Birmingham Canine Association

I was honored to be invited to judge at the City of Birmingham Caine Association for my first UK judging assignment. Congratulations to the show management team on an incredibly successful and well run event. Thanks you to my incredible stewards who keep me on track with a smile and a chuckle. And most importantly my appreciation to the exhibitors for sharing their wonderful and much loved dogs with me.  

Special Beginner D (1 competing)

1. Tillbach Apollo owned by Mrs. J Williams

This dog has proper make and shape of body with great feet. He falls away a bit in croup . Unsure of himself today. 

Veteran D (1 competing)

1. Chattanooga Choo Choo Aedestaurum owned by Mrs. H. Wardle

Well constructed. Good length and finish of muzzle. This older gentleman is in great condition for his age. 

Puppy D (2 competing)

1. Topasbully Lubomir At Arcanum owned by Mrs. H. Wardle

2. Seabees Mystifying Midge With Arbas owned by Mrs. L. Bagley & Mr. R & S Gilmour

First is a nice young puppy with flow of lines throughout. Not always making the most of himself but when settled keeps a nice frame in motion and moves typically. Second puppy is good in bone and substance. Nice head and eye . He gave way to the first puppy in front and rear construction. 

Junior D (1 competing)

1. Compact shapely dog with wonderful character. Good length of fore face and adequate fill. He has small keen eyes. 

Post Graduate D (1 competing)

1. Diego Rozbullnik owned by Miss J. Ratajczyk

This dog has nice body bustance. I would  prefer better finish of bone into foot. Proper head proportions but ears set a bit wide.

Limit D (3 competing)

2. Risibully Anarchy In The UK owned by Mrs. K. Hull

The first dog is from the special beginner class. The second dog has a nicely filled head. His front is set on too wide and he is stilted in rear construction. He does have good bone and substance 

Open D (4 competing)

1. Ch. Bullypins Konquistados owned by Mr. A. & Mrs. M. Llewellyn  

2. Giffenbull Encore Of Aribax owned by Mr. R. Martin

The first dog has a strong well filled head with a small keen eye and good earset. He has a lovely overall outline with good body substance throughout. He keeps his outline in motion and moves with a jaunty air. I was happy to award him the Dog CC. The second dog gave way in strength and fill of head and finish of muzzle. He has small keen eyes and well set ears. Good bone and beautiful tight feet. Good substance throughout and well constructed. Happy to have him as the RCC. 

Puppy B (1 competing) 1. Topasbully Dobronegra owned by Ms. E. Haskell & Mr. S. Maskell Lovely young bitch. Good proportions of skull and muzzle. Good bone and feet. Well constructed and nice flow of lines throughout. Junior B (2 competing) 1. Smart Tri Corsa Iota Beja owned by Miss K. Pilinska & Mr. B Milner 2. Bullyon On The Measure At Stablancaa First bitch has lovely make and shape. Good bone and feet. Balanced construction and jaunty in motion. The second bitch has a nice head and eyes. She gave way to first bitch in front and rear construction and freedom of motion. Graduate B ( 1 competing) 1. Brumborder's Just The One owned by Dr. M. McCall This bitch has a nice head and eye but overweight and not in best muscle. Post Graduate B (1 competing) 1. Leyfind's Taking Over Louwab owned by Mrs. S. & Mr. G Heard Well made bitch with lovely body shape and substance. Beautiful profile arch to head, outline flows throughout. Limit B ( 5 competing) 1. Jenkir Hebe At Bownesbulls owned by Ms. J. & Mr. D Bownes 2. Glitter Stars They Call Me Cleo At Belcanto owned by Miss S. Manoli The first bitch has good substance and bone. She possesses a lovely outline with flowing lines. Full of fire. The second bitch is also lovely but gave way in topline. Open B (7 competing) 1. Tracey Napier S La Nina owned by Mr. & Mrs. M. Fletcher 2. Ch. Topasbully Yaroslava owned by Mr. R. Martin The first bitch is stunning in outline. She flows in beautiful curves from the tip of her nose to the tip of her tail. Attractive head with beautiful finish to the her muzzle in profile. Good bone and substance. She moves smoothly on a loose lead and has great presence and character. The second bitch is also a beautiful bitch of quality with many of the same virtues. She gave way in finish of head and size of eye. Two well made bitches I was happy to award the CC and RCC to respectively. The CC bitch was also my choice for Best of Breed
