City Of Birmingham Canine Association

I was honored to be invited to judge at the City of Birmingham Caine Association for my first UK judging assignment. Congratulations to the show management team on an incredibly successful and well run event. Thanks you to my incredible stewards who keep me on track with a smile and a chuckle. The first dog is handsome. Beautiful head and eye.Balanced construction and efficient movement. The second dog has a lovely head and excellent coat texture. He gave way in construction and movement.

The first dog is strong headed, has good bone and body substance, and excellent coat texture. The second dog is beautifully headed with excellent coat texture and also has good bone and substance. He gave way in front construction and efficiency in motion.

The first dog is a handsome youngster with a gorgeous head and eye and beautiful dark pigment. He has beautiful balance throughout with good bone and substance. Excellent coat texture. He maintains his frame in motion. A memorable one who I look forward to seeing as he matures.  I was happy to award him Best Junior and to later see him place in the Junior Group. The second dog is also lovely in head, presents a pretty outline, has good coat texture. He gave way to the first dog in front construction and balance in motion.

The first dog has a beautiful head and eye, proper proportions, nice bone and feet , excellent coat texture. He is free and easy in motion with a level back and tail carried perfectly. The second dog is a pretty dog with similar overall qualities, outline, and carriage . He gave way slightly in substance and bone.

The first dog has an attractive head. Good bone and substance. Excellent coat texture. Balanced in motion. The second dog also has a nice head and excellent coat texture. He gave way in amount of bone and outline proportions.

The second dog has a beautiful head and eye. Excellent coat texture. Good bone and substance. He gave way to the first dog in proportion and coupling.

The first dog is beautifully made. Gorgeous head and eye. Good bone , substance and feet. Excellent coat texture. He is balanced and short coupled, maintaining  the same frame in motion. The second dog has an attractive head, good bone and substance and proper proportions. He gave way slightly to the first dog in head and eye and coupling.

The first dog is a handsome and upstanding dog of excellent quality. He an attractive head and kind expression. Beautiful construction with good fore chest and spring and length of ribcage. Good coat texture. He is balanced, athletic and free in motion with a level back and proper tail carriage.  The second dog dog has an attractive head. He too has god bone and substance and good coat texture. He is very athletic and dynamic in motion. He is a dog of quality who gave way to the first dog in front construction and reach in motion. I was happy to award them the CC and RCC respectively.

The first place dog has an attractive head and eye. Excellent coat texture. Good bone and feet. Easy going in motion and displaying a very kind temperament. The second dog is also an attractive dog but he gave way slightly in bone and substance.

The first bitch is attractive with a beautiful ahead and eye and dark pigment. Lovely outline , good spring of rib and good coat texture. The second bitch also has a lovely head and good body substance. She is bit longer cast than the first bitch but a lovely type.

This was a lovely class. The first bitch is stunning. Gorgeous head, eye, and pigment. Excellent bone and substance. Excellent coat texture. Beautiful outline standing and in motion with level back and proper tail set and carriage. I was happy to award her Best Veteran and to see her go on to win the Veteran Group later in the day. The second bitch is  also a beautiful  bitch of quality with an attractive head,  good bone,  and good body substance. She gave way slightly in finish to head details and front assembly but still a beautiful girl.

In first is a nice puppy with an attractive head and kind expression. Good bone and feet. Good body substance and ribbing. Nice coat texture. The second bitch is a balanced puppy with a nice outline. She gave way slightly to the first bitch in strength of head and in front construction but a nice puppy overall.

The first bitch is very feminine with a lovely head and eye and dark pigment. She has a beautiful balanced outline standing and in motion. This all applies to the second bitch as well who is also a quality bitch. She gave way to the first bitch in length of loin and ease and carriage in motion.

The first bitch is the winner from previous class. Second is a lovely feminine bitch. Good bone and substance. Nicely arched neck which fits smoothly into withers. She gave way to the first bitch on the go.

The first bitch has a lovely head and eye with dark pigment. Beautiful arch of neck into level back with a compact body. Good bone and substance. The second bitch has a nice head and eye, good body substance and ribbing. She rolled a bit in motion, not as balanced as the first bitch.

First is a lovely headed, balanced, well made bitch. Good ribbing and width of loin. Good bone. Excellent coat texture. The second bitch is also well made and is similar in frame. She gave way slightly to the first bitch in head and eye.

The second bitch is a full bodied bitch who is carrying a bit too much weight on the day. She managed herself well in motion, She has an attractive head and eye and good coat texture

The first bitch is well constructed , balanced, and moves well. She has a pretty head and eye and good coat texture. The second bitch has a beautiful head and eye. Good coat texture. She is feminine and a bitch of quality. She gave way slightly  in proportion of leg and ease in motion.

2nd: 6581 NELSON, Mrs V Sh Ch Cadwst Eternal Flame

The first bitch caught my eye immediately. Perfection for me. From the details of her head and melting expression , to the strong arched neck , to the compact round body of good substance, good spring of rib, short muscled loin, excellent coat texture that wrapped her body, level back and perfect tail carriage , to her light footed gait portraying the same outline standing and in motion.  Took my breath away. The second bitch is a lovely bitch of excellent quality as well. She has a beautiful head and many of the same qualities of the winner. She gave way slightly on the day to her ease and carriage in motion. I was honored to award them the CC and RCC  respectively. The CC bitch was also my choice for Best of Breed and I was thrilled to see her place in the group later that day.
