I was honored to be invited to judge at the City of Birmingham Caine Association for my first UK judging assignment. Congratulations to the show management team on an incredibly successful and well run event. Thanks you to my incredible stewards who keep me on track with a smile and a chuckle. And most importantly my appreciation to the exhibitors for sharing their wonderful and much loved dogs with me. Puppy D (1 competing) 1. Zabakrol Quickben owned by Mr. L. Zabinski Nicely headed youngster with nice size eye and keen expression. Good body substance and balanced fore and aft. Jaunty in action. Post Graduate D (1 competing) 1. Kenleap Brutus For Afanbull owned by Mr. J. Sheehy This dog has a well filled head with a small well placed eye. Proper overall outline proportions. Great body substance and bone. Parallel coming and going. Limit D (3 competing) 1. DeVarca Anything Goes At Dwelinebull owned by Mrs. R. Sullivan 2. Vataha The Kingpin owned by Mr. T. Horton The first dog has a strong well filled head. Excellent bone and substance. Lovely outline standing and in motion. It was a pleasure to award him the RCC. The second dog is a nice dog who gave way to the first dog slightly in fill of head and shape of eye. Similar in bone and substance. Open D (3 competing) 1. Gorbain Hell To Pay Barnesmore owned by Miss S.E. Thompson & Mr. R. Woodward 2. Karmara's Sugar Daddy owned by Mrs. R. Karta-Williams & Mr. T. Williams The first dog has a well filled head with keen expression. He offers good bone and substance and is cobby and rounded throughout. Carries himself well and covers ground nicely when moved at the correct speed. I was happy to award him the Dog CC. The second dog offers proper proportions in outline. He gave way to the first dog in fill and strength of head and quality of bone and feet. Puppy Bitch (2 competing) 1. Karmara's Gossip Girl owned by Mrs. R. Williams & Mr. T. Williams Kenbloom Melini owned by Miss D. Zajac The first bitch is a beautiful puppy. Well filled attractive head both head on and in profile enhanced by a keen eye. Excellent substance and bone with wonderful fore chest. She has a lovely outline and overall body shape with curved lines throughout. Her balanced construction makes her quite good in motion as well when she settles down. She is quite full of herself and she deserves to be. I was happy to award her the Bitch CC as well as Best of Breed. The second puppy was overshadowed by the first bitch and gave way in head and overall body substance. Post Graduate B ( 1 competing) 1. Quentinhill Eye Galactica owned by Miss A. Townend & Mr. A. Ball Attractive bitch. Well filled head with nice size and shape of eye. She has lovely overall shape and good substance, bone and feet. She earned the RCC. Limit B (1 competing) 1. Teirwgwyn Miss Hazel Of Waybully owned by Mr. K. Waycott & Mrs. V. Waycott Lovely compact nicely shaped bitch. Attractive head and eye. Good bone and substance and tight feet. She is balanced standing and in motion. Open B (3 competing) 1. Karmara's Kiss And Tell At Winuwuk owned by Miss J. Brown & Mr. T. Hutchings 2. Florence Truly Scrumptious Of Villensia owned by Miss L. A. Villensia First is a lovely overall shaped bitch with nice head proportions, adequate fill and a nice size and shape of eye. The second bitch is a substantial bitch of quality. She was quite distracted and unsettled and simply refused to allow us to appreciate her virtues today.
