This was the last of the four championship shows over two days for Dachshund exhibitors. I am sure that the energy levels of both dogs and owners were being tested at this point! Thanks to the exhibitors for the good entry which provided me with a quality crop of Min Smooths to judge.

1st Place 181 - Riowood Arizona JW (Miss L M B & Messrs L J B & A B Beach), brindle male shown in lovely

condition, good head shape, pleasing legs and feet, well ribbed body, good ground clearance,

moved soundly fore and aft on a good long stride, holding his good topline at all times, BV;

2nd Place 202 - Ch Siouxline Rapunzel with Melriding (Mrs S M Ergis), nearly 12 years shaded red bitch looking super for her

age and a great credit to her owner, such a feminine girl with good feet, still has good topline which she

holds on the move, well ribbed and still enjoying her day out;

3rd Place 228 - Duddondaxs Judge Jude for Jenivon (Mrs J Jennings)

1st Place 243 - Marvale Sparrowhawk for Devondax (Miss Kj Small), red/brindle of just over 6 months, presents a pleasing

picture overall, good to go over on the table, well made fore and aft, well ribbed, unexaggerated and moved

soundly, preferred his feet;

2nd Place 197 - Coppers Boy (Mr T Dalton), shown in good condition, scored in body and hindquarters, well boned legs,

moved soundly;

3rd Place 225 - Ardenrun Making Stripes for Lindella's (Mrs P Hughes)

1st Place 190 - Amaffrey Sirius Black (Mrs A J Bullis), black/tan shown in excellent condition, kept his topline on the

move, well-muscled hindquarters and drove from behind;

Class 52. Junior Dog

1st Place 176 - Stargang Whiskey Mac (Miss L Andison), red brindle of 13.5 months, youngster of super type with a look

of quality, struck me as being free from exaggeration and everything was made in one piece, liked his head shape,

good eye, well made in front with pleasing shoulders, leading to good topline, well ribbed body, good ground

clearance and well made and angulated hindquarters, kept his static outline on the move and didn’t put a foot

wrong, when he came into the challenge he was the one that kept drawing my attention and it was a pleasure to

award him his first CC, good luck for his title quest!

2nd Place 199 - Brogansian Battlecry for Siouxline (Mrs S M Ergis), another brindle, of 11 months, pleasing head, free mover,

shown in good condition, longer in loin;

3rd Place 230 - Stargang Rusty Nail at Jenivon (Mrs J Jennings)

1st Place 252 - Bronia Donatello for Wakywilks JW (Miss C & Mr A Wilkinson & Wakeham), black/tan shown in excellent

condition, well made all through with pleasing topline, good hindquarters, sound mover, would just prefer

better feet;

1st Place 235 - Metadale Aloysius (Mrs S J Metcalfe-Bilgin), 14 months pleasing size red, shown in fit, well muscled

condition, scored in head shape, correct feet and scored on the move in side profile where he kept his outline,

unexaggerated and promising for the future;

2nd Place 261 - Rozamie Tiger Feet (Mr J & Mrs J Williams), not quite so confident but of pleasing type, well made in body

with good ribbing, level topline, sound mover;

3rd Place 208 - Boomerloo’s Robin (Mrs T M Gittins)

1st Place 195 - Scenterbay Rafael for Ruichango (Miss M Corominas), pleasing type shaded red of two years, liked the fact

that he was quite unexaggerated, pleasing head and dark eye, well made front with good ribbing to body and

good topline held on the move, shown in lovely condition, has a quiet confidence about his bearing;

2nd Place 260 - Lokmadi Call Me Louis Rozamie (Mr J & Mrs J Williams), red brindle of nearly 4 years, shown in good

condition, moved soundly, slightly too cut up in underline;

1st Place 238 - Ch Rijobeau Rumours with Llennocor JW (Mr R & Mrs A O'Connell), lovely quality b/t dog who is very classy,

takes the eye immediately with his super outline, right size, pleasing head and eye, well made in front,

good ribbing and correct topline held on the move, keeps his excellent outline in profile and is a sound true mover

in all directions, shown in gleaming condition and handled to advantage, RCC;

2nd Place 253 - Bronia Gabriel for Wakywilks JW (Miss C & Mr A Wilkinson & Wakeham), shaded red of 2.5 years, very nice

dog indeed, totally unexaggerated and has lots of plus points, pleasing head and eye, good ground clearance,

well ribbed, correct topline kept on the move, very good mover in side profile keeping his static outline and true

out and back, looks of ch quality;

3rd Place 187 - Amaffrey Henry (Mrs A J Bullis)

1st Place 185 - Bronia Solange at Louromi (Mrs L Bosworth), this young bitch stood out for being correct, true to type and

free from exaggeration with good conformation, had the best ribbing, added to which she had a pretty head,

sound mover, should do well for her owner;

2nd Place 224 - Debiandaxies Derry Girl (Mrs D Holmes), pleasing type shown in good condition, similar type, strong

well-muscled hindquarters from which she showed pleasing drive;

3rd Place 179 - Bronia’s Annetta (Miss Barr)

1st Place 242 - Marvale Golden Oriole (Miss K J Small), 6 months red, pretty quality puppy of pleasing size, shape and overall

outline, pleasing head, front construction, body, ribbing and hindquarters, moved soundly in all directions

and kept outline on the move;

2nd Place 188 - Amaffrey Jinny Weasley (Mrs A J Bullis), another of pleasing type and overall appearance, pleasing size with

good body and ribbing, pleasing hind angulation, well muscled and shown in good condition, moved soundly;

3rd Place 215 - Portmoll Primadonna (Mr R Graham)

Class 59. Puppy Bitch – headed by 2 beautiful puppies

1st Place 219 - Naisha Crespalia Bronia (Imp Esp) (Mrs F Hanney-Mitchell), what a beautiful, precocious youngster this is!

She is full of quality, such a lovely size and so well made all through, portrays a superb outline on the stack with

correct angles fore and aft, lovely feminine head and correct eye shape/colour giving lovely expression, well made

front, good ribbing and ground clearance, perfect topline kept on the move, well made hindquarters and shown in

super, well-muscled condition, is raring to go on the move and proves a slight challenge to her expert owner/

handler, sound in all directions and such a joy to see her having such fun, one who will win LOTS, RBCC and BP;

2nd Place 200 - Siouxline Elsa Marie (Mrs S M Ergis), this is another beautiful puppy who has a look of real quality, future

champion I would think, I dislike the cliché but it truly applied that she was unlucky to meet 1, everything fits

together so well on this quality puppy from her most appealing head, through her forequarters, body, ribbing,

topline and well angulated/muscled hindquarters, sound mover in all directions, one to watch for sure;

3rd Place 185 - Bronia Solange at Louromi (Mrs L Bosworth)

1st Place 236 - Metadale Legacy of Love (Mrs S J Metcalfe-Bilgin), very good youngster of correct size and type as expected

of this kennel, soundly made all through with pretty head, correct eye shape/colour, well ribbed body with good

ground clearance, correct topline maintained on the move, sound mover in all directions;

2nd Place 186 - Amaffrey Cat Balou (Mrs A J Bullis), 15 months b/t of pleasing type and shown in good condition,

well-muscled, well ribbed with good topline and hindquarters, moved soundly in all directions, close up;

3rd Place 224 - Debiandaxies Derry Girl (Mrs D Holmes)

thought she was well made all through with good fore and hindquarters, pleasing head, well muscled and in

good condition, kept her static outline on the move and was a good mover in all directions;

2nd Place 191 - Joshotto Martha Gunn (Miss A J Butterstone), b/t pretty girl of pleasing type, pleasing ground

clearance, decent ribbing, sound mover, just preferred head of 1;

3rd Place 205 - Loggeta Lucky Swirl at Clavennae (Ms C A Foley)

1st Place 231 - Marvale Rosefinch at Helydon (Misses A & A Kirkwood-Emery), red of two years and a convincing winner

here, good type, pleasing head, pleasing front and rear assembly, well ribbed body with good ground clearance,

pleasing topline that she held on the move, went true fore and aft and carried herself well in profile;

2nd Place 257 - Bronia's Azzurra for Wakywilks (Miss C & Mr A Wilkinson & Wakeham), b/t junior of pleasing type,

moved soundly, overall well-made although just preferred head of 1;

3rd Place 221 - Winterfield Lucky Star (Mrs R & Miss S J Herald)

1st Place 201 - Siouxline Mary Rose JW (Mrs S M Ergis), shaded red of just over 2 years, has a quiet air of confidence and

style about her, really liked her head and eye, good neck, forehand and front construction, well ribbed body so she

is short coupled, well angulated hindquarters, moved true out and back and carried her outline in profile, liked her

and made her presence felt in the challenge;

2nd Place 216 - Bronia Blayze (Mrs F Hanney-Mitchell), feminine girl who possesses the good type and quality expected of

 this top kennel, scores on front assembly, typical head with correct eye shape and colour, pleasing rear,

moved soundly in all directions;

3rd Place 213 - Bronia Camille (Mr R Graham)

Class 64. Open Bitch – strong class

1st Place 183 - Stargang Scandalous (Mr & Mrs J Blackburn-Bennett), this beautiful type bitch came into the ring, looked

round and was asking who was going to be second, she really was on top form, shown in superb, gleaming

 condition and showed like a real star performer, shaded red of 3 years with beautiful head, very well constructed

 in front, excellent ribbing and super topline, well-muscled hindquarters which are very well angulated, truly

flowed on the move in profile, maintaining her static outline, so true out and back, going with real drive, has a

great temperament, pleasure to award her the CC and BOB;

2nd Place 196 - Ch Riverbrue Juniper Berry (Mr B A & Miss A & Mr G & Mr M Crocker & Frost & Carroll & Paget), well-

known top winner who is similar in many respects to 1, beautiful type and quality, lovely head, everything flows

in her conformation, most pleasing head and eye, good angles fore and aft, well ribbed and maintains her

lovely outline on the move where she was sound out and back, pushed hard but just felt she lacked the

sparkle of 1, close call;

3rd Place 237 - Ch Rijobeau Rita Bix with Llennocor (Mr R & Mrs A O'connell)
