I thoroughly enjoyed judging Weimaraners at this well run show ..Thanking the committee for inviting me they did a sterling job busy day as Gundog Breeds of Scotland was on the same day. Thanks to all exhibitors for a great entry of quality dogs …….My own breed I was looking for breed type with substance and bone to match …I was looking for an oblong dog with the desired movement which sets them apart from any other dog I did find what I was looking for in my winners ….But on a negative note I do think we are losing a lot of the fundamental things that make our breed unique… Baby Puppy Dog (1) ..1 Duffy Minstergate Horizon ..Nice body on this baby was difficult to assess ..liked his head developing nicely ..owner has to do more training moved ok when settled . Minor Puppy Dog ( 2) Two nice puppies in this class . 1 Dobbs Theondale Hopeful Heart ..Mature looking boy at 8 months presented a balanced outline liked his substance good length of back correct lay of shoulder and forechest and depth of chest …Pleasing in head with adequate stop lovely long ears liked his soft expression ..on the move he really strides out front and back keeping a level topline at all times .very promising Best Puppy Dog . 2 Pearman Weipowa Shaken Not Stirred To Britmans …This dog was very close to 1 similar age and same maturity different type lots to like particularly liked his head and expression .He is developing well liked his overall balance not as long in back as 1 and would have liked more reach and drive on the move but he keeps his topline and has strong hocks ..liked him another with promise. Puppy Dog (1) Dodds Theondale Hopeful Heart ( Repeat ) Junior Dog (6) 1 Longbottom Gunalt Wingman ..Have liked this dog from the ringside he’s a moderate well put together dog maturing the right way …liked his masculine head kind expression .good neck to correct shoulders liked his depth of body which he carries all through ..smart on the stack .getting his confidence now which showed on the move ..lots of power from well muscled hindquarters..promising 2 Pearman Weipowa Shaken Not Stirred .2nd Puppy could not be denied this placing . 3 Guthrie Sireva Mayhem Yearling Dog (5) 1 Whitehead Gunalt Back Chat From Strideview . Quality moderate dog bit of a slow maturer to me certainly not a bad thing …At 20 months starting to mature in body for substance..pleasing head and expression good length of neck good fill in depth of body moderate rear ..I would like a little more length of back to be picky but he moves well keeping topline when got into his stride deserved his placing will do well in the future . 2 Hawkins Schonhund Show At The Oscars .Bigger dog all round with substance …all male good masculine head with correct proportions..good neck leading to correct shoulders he has good length .another that needs time powerful mover driving off strong hocks . 3 Caine Lustamusk Star Ship Trooper . Open Dog (8) What a class wish I had more red cards ! 1 Charlish SHCH Gunalt The Hangover JW This dog is what I was looking for he has great substance and bone without being a big dog .Nice masculine head good shoulders leading to correct front well boned legs with good feet .Correct in length of back would like him a little taller all round to complete the picture but where he excels for me and won this class on was his easy movement so much reach and drive from his well muscled quarters he powers around the ring which gave him DOG CC BOB & BEST IN SHOW . 2 Hill SHCH Weipowa Double O Seven JW .Another lovely quality dog unlucky to meet 1 today but pulled out all the stops to gain this place in this quality class ..Extremely smart dog on the stack has elegance and strength ..liked his head and expression long ears good shoulders angles matured really well shown in fit hard condition another with desired depth of body moderate rear ..although moves really well with so much style would like more length of stride to finish the picture ..RES CC . 3 Longbottom SHCH Gunalt Beehave JW Veteran Dog (2) 1 McLaine &Dickson Greyspirit Rock Star from Hantzburg JW Upstanding dog 8yrs looking fit and well muscled .Moderate all round pleasing head and expression .Strong neck ..clean through shoulder into correct level topline standing and moving.. depth good very balanced all round ..moved well . 2 McMahon IR SH CH Silverkelvin Jupiter Over Magdala VW CW22. Nice to see another 8yr old in super fit condition different type liked his overall look wasn’t as balanced as 1 nice head good eye and ear .topline good well off for depth not the movement I was looking for untidy coming and going away today . A very unassuming dog that is very correct and a well deserving SHCH .He has so many excellent qualities from his lovely classic head and the softest expression strong neck clean through shoulder to the tip of his tail he has good front assembly good feet moderate rear he moves really well fore and aft I would like more back length to complete the picture . Minor Puppy Bitch (3) 1 Hostler Theondale High Hopes won a nice class of pups at 8 months litter sister to Best Puppy Dog lots of the same qualities apply .She has a most appealing head showing occipital bone and great ears I liked her substance has good forchest which lots lack …super length and depth of body showing lots of promise keeping a good topline moving ..still needs to tighten but moves very well with desired reach and drive . 2 Charlish Harelferg Happy Hour Another baby of 8 months not as forward as 1 but I really like this girl .she is very pretty in the head which has good proportions smaller overall than 1 but still has the substance I was looking for .She is well balanced from her good front to her correct rear liked her outline moved as she should another that needs time and is promising. 3 Pilatova Sabsky Spelberk Puppy Bitch (2) Phillips Rivertone Defying Gravity nearing 12 months age makes a difference for maturity .Pretty elegant puppy feminine in outlook ..she is lovely on the stack .very pleasing head lovely with a naughty expression good set and length of ears ..good reach of neck into adequate shoulders needs to fill into her body all through but time is on her side .liked her length of back when settled she moved with power and drive . Best Puppy In Show . 2 Repeat Hostler Theondale High Hopes Junior Bitch (3) (1) Tierney Gunalt Madeira . Typical in head and outline on this bitch good body proportions with good bone and nice size ..moves a bit erratic at first but did enough needs time to come together . 2 Hunter Reefcrest Adrenaline High …larger bitch and looking more mature .Pleasing overall symmetry and proportions balanced in head has ample depth and strength..preferred shoulders of first moved ok . Classic head lovely expression long ears good neck into correct shoulders good body proportions moved well showing reach and drive but was carrying a little too much weight today . Limit Bitch (7) (1) Good Class 1 Simpson Sireva Emseesee Nice quality bitch she is feminine all through pale in colour she is very typey in head and general outlook ..good size body and substance chest well let down and ribbed well into loin …good depth all through I liked her balance nicely muscled and she moved well . 2 Radford Schonhund Show Faith close up to 1 she too is quality ..lovely head soft expression well set ears of good length liked her shoulder angle good straight front another with good body proportions like her outline both standing and moving …she moved with power and style 3 Robson Kalimor Nancy At Robricci JW Open Bitch (5) 1 Sayer & Wallwork Braefell Bumble Bee JW Lots to like about this elegant bitch from her lovely classic head good length of muzzle long high set ears long neck into good front assembly stands on good legs and feet liked her for substance and bone .Correct depth to body carried through to well muscled rear presented a lovely outline moved out really well with style. to take a well deserved BITCH CC her third and her crown well done .RES BEST IN SHOW 2 Evens & Pavey SH CH Rivertone Inevitable At Joneva Different stamp of bitch finer all round and would prefer less leg still needs time to mature for me but has some lovely qualities .Pretty head correct shape feminine in outlook has elegance .Long clean neck adequate shoulders would like more fill and width in front .Looks well on the stack when settled as is her movement still a bit loose for me but a lovely lady and her overall qualities gave her this placing .Looking forward to seeing her mature . 3 Dobbs Kalimor Summa Love JW Veteran Bitch (6) Lovely Class 1 Anderton Tatze Bewitched By Thrihyrne Quality long hair headed this class at 9rs she is in fabulous condition excellent coat and feathering .Lovely head and eye strong neck well bodied good depth all through well balanced outline straight in topline which she held standing and on the move …she took the class on her effortless movement .Best Veteran In Show 2 Holster SH CH Kalimor Daisy JW Love this bitch made this class very hard at 7yrs hardly a veteran another in great condition looking really well . So much work in her beautiful head high set long ears showing occipital bone and the softest expression .Well made in body with good length a little soft in topline but recently had a litter but is well balanced with a lovely outline didn’t move as well as 1 today . 3 McLaine & Dickson Greyspirit Purdue JW ShCM .I have to comment on this lovely bitch that I really like unlucky to meet 1&2 in sparkling form .What more can be said about this 9yr old totally feminine from her beautiful head to the tip of her tail classic in outline loved her substance and bone have seen her move with more drive .She too is in great condition a credit to her owners .
