This was a nice class and I liked all three very much.

1st 8149 - Uccello De La Baronnie De Curvalle Malbecmogs (Imp Fra) (Mrs S J Harvey). He carries a full coat which is silky to the touch and has excellent gold tips. Balanced head, nice frown, deep muzzle, long, thick ears. Carried his tail rather high but his movement was true.

2nd 8142 - Meggamooch Yesterday (Mrs S Alderson). I found him a little bit shorter in foreface than the winner and a little bit waisty but that said he is a good example of the breed and presents a great shape on the stack with well laid shoulders, good return of upper arm and muscular quarters.

3rd 8152 - Crumbledor Archibald Alderton (Dr S Sampson)

Class 351. Open Dog

1st 8146 - Sh Ch Eald Dances with Wolves among Nyliram JW ShCEx OSW (Mr T Graham) This is a fabulous dog. He is strongly built, well boned, deep chested and has very muscular thighs. Good finish to croup and a well set tail that never stops wagging. His head is well balanced and classic with its moderately curved skull, clear stop and frown. He wears a coat of rich golden liver with plenty of feathering and moves with a typical Sussex roll carrying his head just above the level of his back. It was a close call for BOB. BD.

2nd 8144 - Ir Sh Ch Eald Stone Calf with Heaphen Jch Cpw23 An Ch 23 Cw24/25 (H Arrell). I see now that he is the son of the BD and whilst I preferred the head of his father his is still very handsome and well balanced with a soft expression. He carries a level topline, has excellent depth and strong well developed quarters. He displays a happy and kindly temperament just like his dad. RBD.

3rd 8143 - Stormacre Tiny Dancer with Meggamooch JW (Mrs S Alderson)

Reserve (4th ) 8147 - Special Vero Big Ben (Imp Pol) (Mrs S J Harvey)

Class 352. Special Beginners Dog

1st 8152 - Crumbledor Archibald Alderton (Dr S Sampson) 3rd in Post Grad where he looked a baby. I see he is out of the BOB winner by the BD so has many of their excellent qualities. I found his head quite divine with such a fabulous expression. He is well angulated with plenty of dog in front and is a sound and steady mover. He held his topline better in this class. BSB.

Class 353. Puppy Bitch

Class 354. Post Graduate Bitch

Entries: 2 Absentees: 0

1st 8145 - Nessi Cova Da Iria (Imp Pol) (Ms C Foster) She has a pretty head and well set ears but could be a touch wider in muzzle. Very good forehand having well laid shoulders and good return of upper arm. Plenty of heart and lung room. Her coat is a lovely texture, flat and shiny with gold tips developing. Lovely mover.

2nd 8150 - Malbecmogs Lady of The Lake at Klanhallion (Mrs P & Mr B Mcgeachie) A bigger bitch who tends to push herself forward on the stack and so spoils her outline. She has plenty of forechest, good ribbing and moved well.

Class 355. Open Bitch

Entries: 3 Absentees: 0

1st 8151 - Sh Ch Gainsmill Lilly Luna Potter at Crumbledor ShCEx (Mrs S Mowbray) I love this bitch. She is so feminine but strongly built and she has the best of heads and such an appealing expression. She is typical of the standard with her well laid, shoulders, deep chest, good ribbing, strong loin and wide well developed quarters. Flat weather resistant coat of rich golden liver with gold tips. Moves with purpose, a good roll and terrific tail action. In the challenge I felt she held her shape just a bit better than the dog. BB & BOB.

2nd 8141 - Meggamooch Winterfell (Mrs S Alderson) A very nice bitch who has a pretty head and a soft expression in her hazel eyes. She has depth and a well developed chest but came towards a bit wider in front than the winner. RBB.

3rd 8148 - Special Vero Buenos Dias ((imp Pol) (Mrs S J Harvey)

Class 356. Special Beginners Bitch
