1st 3937 - Brooke Will Do It Through Milcook (Mr A & Mr R Cook & Lamb) A tall dog who could use more fill in front. Handsome head, intelligent expression, strong muzzle. Good reach of neck, moderate angulation both ends, wide thighs, hard coat. BV.

1st 3961 - Winterwell The Card Player (ai) (Ms G Samria) Cracking puppy presented and handled to perfection. Impressive on the stack, short in back standing over plenty of ground, deep chest, well laid shoulders, good spring of rib, wide well muscled loin and broad hips. Well off for bone, compact feet. His head is balanced with beautifully raised brows, high set ears and a strong muzzle. He is so light on his feet and holds his shape on the move. RCC & BPIB.

1st 3967 - Jomeel Pulp Fiction JW (Mr S W & Mrs R E W Webster) This young dog has the noble and arrogant appearance that I love in a GSP. He is powerfully made and yet graceful in outline with plenty of dog in front, a deep chest, well sprung ribs, good angulation both ends and a slightly rounded croup. He has a clean cut head, broadish and slightly rounded skull, super nasal bone, lovely eyes and expression and broad high set ears. Strong neck with slight arch, clean throat and wears a tight harsh jacket. He is built to do a day’s work and has great forward reach and strong drive from behind. He has that ‘look at me’ attitude and came into the challenge asking ‘Who’s second?’ CC & BOB. He looked great in the group where he made the cut.

1st 3953 - Agdenusher Mulberry (Mrs S & Mr A Mapes) A handsome dog with a deep brisket and good spring of rib. Level topline but a tad long for me and wider in front. Has an excellent croup and tail set. Balanced head, good eye and well set ears. Head is finished off with a slightly protruding nose with wide nostrils. Sound mover.

Limit Dog

Entries: 6 Absentees: 1

1st 3928 - Tequesta Poldark JW (Mrs L Adams) This lady’s dogs are always presented and handled to perfection and so quietly too, she gets the very best out of them. He presents a clean outline and is graceful in appearance and gait. He has a great prosternum, plenty of heart and lung room, a short back, powerful loin and wide quarters with good second thigh development. His head is clean cut with a strong muzzle, kind eye and fine high set ears.

2nd 3963 - Winterwell Tubby Tompkin from Nyliram JW (Mrs G & Mrs J Serpa & Graham) Fabulous head and eye, beautifully raised brows, clear nasal bone rising gradually to forehead; like looking down the barrel of a double barrelled shot gun. Arched neck, good forehand, feet could be better, firm topline, powerful quarters. He needs tighter control on the move, a shorter lead should do it, and he will go far.

3rd 3959 - Fraulynzway Lightning Bolt JW (Mrs L & Miss H Russell)

Reserve (4th ) 3935 - Mistcapel Blowin The Breeze (Mr S R Bunker)

Very Highly Commended (5th ) 3941 - Braneath Peregrine (Prof T R Desombre)

Open Dog

Entries: 5 Absentees: 3

1st 3945 - Ch/ir Sh Ch Quintana Diamond Dust at Friarsbelle JW ShCEx OSW (Mr B Dymond) A smart dog who commands attention but is a bit long in back for my preference. Handsome well balanced head with raised brows, clean over neck and shoulders, deep brisket but would like a little more fill in front. Well sprung ribs, wide croup, tail set correct. Moves effortlessly covering plenty of ground.

2nd 3954 - Kilnrae Berliner (Mrs K M & Mr S N Marsh) Rangier than the winner, has great front assembly, is well ribbed back and has a longish and wide croup. Well proportioned head, strong neck, good angulation behind. Very smooth mover.

Special Beginners

Entries: 2 Absentees: 1

1st 3931 - No More Cloudy Days (Miss A Atkins) Fine all through but pretty enough with a slight Roman nose. Level topline, neat feet. Steady mover.

Veteran Bitch

1st 3942 - Braneath Ptarmigan (Prof T R Desombre) Pretty head, level topline, needs more fill in front but has depth, good finish to croup and well set tail. Carrying a bit too much weight today which detracted from her elegance.

2nd 3932 - Kavacanne Pina Colada of Patterscourt (Mrs & Miss Attwood & Turner) A decent bitch who didn’t get her tail up on the move today. Decent angles but doesn’t have the angulation nor second thigh of the winner. Great forward reach.

Minor Puppy Bitch

Entries: 3 Absentees: 1

1st 3950 - Winterwell Monet’s Magic of Fayemm (ai) (Mr E & Mrs L Lockett) Litter sisters who are hard to separate. Both have divine heads although the winner has slightly better chiselling, strong arched necks, excellent construction, balance and angulation and present clean and elegant outlines. Both move very well but second was not as settled.

2nd 3962 - Winterwell Starry Night at Mylanuka (ai) (Mrs G Serpa)

1st 3929 - Edelmidpoint Silhouette for Sparkenhoe (Mrs L Angus) Quite rangy but has plenty of depth, could use more fill in front, good ribbing, wide croup and thighs but needs more second thigh development. Lovely head, good nose, strong neck. Moved well.

2nd 3927 - Keigame Mystique Aurora (Mrs C & Mr K Adams) I preferred the head on this one but she was doing herself no favours today by carrying a bit too much weight and roaching her back. Has plenty of heart and lung room and strides out well.

3rd 3964 - Rookcross Rosie Cotton at Abbeyaire (Mr D J & Mrs L M Smith)

1st 3931 - No More Cloudy Days (Miss A Atkins) 1st Special Beginners

2nd 3936 - Kenzduo Lilac Spring (Dr H-M Chidwick) Rather upright in front and doesn’t have the quarters of the winner. Pretty head but rather long. Moved well.

Limit Bitch

Entries: 7 Absentees: 2

1st 3934 - Winterwell Little Itch at Karitagan (Miss K Bunker) I see now that last time I judged I gave her litter brother the CC so although she is a completely new one to me, I clearly like the type. She took my eye straight away being short in back, standing over plenty of ground and a picture of symmetry and grace. She has substance and style and an air of nobility about her. Her head is beautiful with exquisite chiselling and that gun barrel, slightly Roman nasal bone; she looked deep into my eyes, her raised brows twitching quizzically. Her construction is superb; clear forechest, deep brisket, good spring of rib, strong loin, excellent croup and tail set, well muscled thighs and well bent stifles. Her whole body is taut and well conditioned. Add to this her faultless movement and hard coat and you have yourself a ticket winner and a very popular one at that; the applause was wonderful. Delighted to award her the CC, her second I understand.

2nd 3930 - Keigame Hearts Desire of Sparkenhoe (ai) JW (Mrs L Angus) She was BPIB last time I judged and I still like her very much indeed. She is well angulated, strongly boned and stands on compact spoon shaped feet. Lovely raised brows. Moved well.

3rd 3965 - Jomeel Naughtylicious (Mr M A & Ms C Staley)

Reserve (4th ) 3947 - Redic Shiraz (Mr W, Mrs A J & Miss M L Hallam)

Very Highly Commended (5th ) 3936 - Kenzduo Lilac Spring (Dr H-M Chidwick)

Open Bitch

1st 3966 - Jomeel Olivia’s Choice (Mr M A & Ms C Staley) She won Post Grad last time I judged and has fulfilled her earlier promise. Now very much the finished article she has the construction to do a day’s work and the graceful well co-ordinated movement to keep her going. Her head is well worked and her muzzle strong with powerful jaws. Harsh coat. In the challenge the Limit bitch really upped her game and so she had to settle for the RCC.

2nd 3969 - Pingarypoint Puzzled at Knabynnus (Mrs C A, Mr C H, Mrs J Y & Dr C P Taylor & Thomas) A taller and rangier bitch who doesn’t have the substance of the winner but that said she has a balanced head with raised brows and high set ears, balanced angles and moves freely.

3rd 3970 - Pingarypoint Milk Shake ShCEx (Mr A C & Mrs L A Whittaker)
